Crunchyroll has no ads if you have a premium membership, which I do. I buy a year at a time, it averages out to less than Netflix. It's worth having if you like anime or Korean/Japanese drama, but if you're just in it for toku, well, ads are how they make money to pay the people who make the show.

But anyway the original question was about Sentai, which is not available for legal streaming anywhere yet.

Looking at a new video for Ultraman Orb, looks like he's going to have a new form with a very questionable combination...

Image

Based on the shoulder beads and the obvious eyes- It's a fusion form of Belial and Zoffy. How this form came to be, I am very curious about...

Two bits of news regarding the new MMPR movie.

We got our first teaser poster for the movie - https://twitter.com/PowerRangers/status/745602978891997184

And the role of Zordon has been cast. He will be played by none other than Breaking Bad star (and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers alumnus) Bryan Cranston! - https://twitter.com/PowerRangers/status/745400636510867458

Not much animo for the Power Ranger movie, is there? Well, on the other side of the pond things are just getting ridiculous:

New Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger Reveals.

- Cube Whale is shown in two forms: his humanoid Dodekai-Oh (can't be a pun on "dodeka" or "twelve", we have 10 now!), and combined into an Ultrazord-like formation as Wild Tousai Dodeka King. Uhm... don't look at it from the waist down...
- A new Zyuohger is revealed: Zyuoh Bird, an orange recolor of Zyuoh Eagle, plus his changer: Zyuoh Changer Final.
- Finally, a new Weapon Cube: Cube Octopus (not a squid!), he becomes a heli-pack for Zyuoh King. Interestingly, he sports a "?" instead of "!".
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

Admittedly, I love the whale zord idea. Kind of wish it was a carrier zord...

However, that final combined mode is terrible. Is it just me or does this seem to be a pattern with recent sentai, one last big individual mecha that can combine with all of the rest? I mean, we got Bragigas, Hyper Ressha, and Lion Ha-Ojo. Sensing a pattern here, more so then in the past. I kind of miss Boukenger's idea, cram 10 zords together and still get a badass mech.

At least this one is tidy, concise, and relatively uniform; and actually looks pretty cool :-?

Kind of a callback to the bases (Turbobuilder, Maxmagma) and carries of old (King Brachion, DaiMugen, King Pyramider), right?

Is awesomely, stupidly, hilarious to me - it speaks to me in a way that the individual zord's from this line could never manage, so, that has to say something ;)

Of the three you listed, only ToQ Rainbow actually requires all the zords from the line, and only the cabs (which were obtainable in gashapon and candy form separate from the DX line). Gigant Kyoryuzin and Haoh Gekiatsu Daioh required the big zord and only one other megazord. Bandai got complaints after Engine-Oh G12 and Samurai Haoh that their ultrazord formations required all the increasingly numerous zords in the line, which was quite expensive, so they scaled it back.

And now we have Dodeka King, returning to form. What the heck, Bandai.

Also, Boukenger had DaiVoyager as their requisite Giant Megazord/Carrierzord.

Right when I'm the poorest I've been in months. This is also Decade's fault.

In non-Toei news, Ultraman Orb has premiered and is being simulcast on Crunchyroll. Watch it here.

I think they look quite cool actually ;)
The big difference with monstercombo's like G12 and Haoh is that this things looks clean due to most of the smaller mecha being cubes. The older ones looked very busy, like an enormous stack of loose parts.

Very true, I just personally liked Go-Onger's batshit crazy combinations.

Watched the unsubbed one on Youtube, I really like it so far. The humans are less annoying comparatively, and opening fight got be hooked like that *snaps fingers*. Mostly it's do to the fact we've never seen an Ultra just lose it like that. Even Zero kept his composure!

In other news:

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid revealed.

Like Ryuki and Gaim, there will be multiple Riders, the new ones revealed are Kamen Rider Brave, Kamen Rider Snipe, Kamen Rider Racer (made from the bike!) and Kamen Rider Genmu. The motif for this series is quite surprising: video games, and the suits really show it. Also, they're brightly colored, like G2 neon. Apparently the Forms are called "Gamer", with the likes of:

Ex-Aid Action Gamer
Brave Quest Gamer
Snipe Shooting Gamer

Plenty of gimmickry here, too many to name.

I...kinda love these. Even with the weird cast-off style chibi forms, I really love the flashy colors and the fact that the lead rider's colors are NOTHING like normal lead riders (something in the red spectrum with black, etc.). The fact we seem to be starting out with five different riders already excites me to no end. Plus I love the classic video game touch with Ex-Aid's weapon being either a sword or a hammer (especially the hammer).

Bryan Cranston talks of his initial reaction to being involved in the new Power Rangers movie, as well as describes the movie's tone - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/bryan-cranston-power-rangers-the-dark-knight_us_577bd160e4b09b4c43c11b69

“At first I was, to be honest with you, I was reticent to looking at the role because I remember the television series was kind of farcical and silly and ‘pow’ and ‘zow’ — weird movements and things like that. I was like, ‘Oh, OK,’” said the actor, who used to do voice work on the “Power Rangers” TV show.

“I wasn’t really high on it until I talked to the producer and read the script and talked to the director. After that I went, ‘This is different.’” He continued, “This is as different a reimagining as the ‘Batman’ television series as it became the ‘Batman’ movie series. You can’t compare those two, and nor can you compare this movie version of the ‘Power Rangers’ to that television series. It’s unrecognizable for the most part. There are tenets of the folklore that you hold onto for sure, but the inspiration is different, and the sensibility of it, and the approach to the film making is completely different.”

When asked to clarify that the “Batman” movies he was referring to were from the “Dark Knight” series, Cranston confirmed “Yeah,” but he added, “I don’t know if the tone is as dark as that because you’re dealing with teenagers. So the appropriateness of that, and real teenage life, and going through high school and the cliques and the popularity or lack thereof, and the bullies and all the different sections and sub-sections of high school life, and the insecurities of these kids and things like that — hopes and dreams — and you embrace all of that into a retelling of the ‘Power Rangers.’ And what you would get is this new version, this new reimagined version.”

I finished Kyuukyuu Sentai GogoFive today. Quite en enjoyable series, though the infighting at the beginning was a bit annoying. Good characters both on the good and bad sides, very interesting and varied weapons, and some quite awesome mecha. The ending was a real tear-jerker though.

I've got 4 episodes to go. You may have given me something to look forward to.
