I like that its cheaper and retains a lot of the playability, which is exactly how it was with the dino charge line. The more expensive Japanese version is still made up of figures that lack articulation anyway, so I dont feel it is as simplified as say a 3 step changer vs a deluxe TF figure.
My main beef now is how they messed up the Draco combiner mode (is that what its called?) since we dont have a big dragon head. Thats a prety big fail. Whats you beef with the main zord?

For what its worth, I preffer when a combiner is made up of different zords that look different from eachother. So this one looks fun. I checked out the latest Super Sentai Zord and I am not liking that next line with all those minecraft blocks. I really dont know if BOA will use it. It has this minecraft theme that is marketable but its also way out there with the individual zords just becoming cubes.

Probably one of those toy-only "Limited Edition" redecos that they've been doing lately (i.e. - green and black Dino Charge Megazord, red Ptera Charge Megazord, yellow T-Rex Zord, black T-Rex Zord, turquoise Spino Zord, etc.).

You just said my beef. They needed to include the blue shuriken that forms the dragon head and they didn't do it.

I have no issue with downsizing the toys so long as they are still faithful to the show. I want kids (and older kids ;) ) to be able to purchase the zords they like from the shows they like and even selling BoJ versions without the electronics would be too expensive. Plus I do like how BoA has been able to keep the toys at the same relative height from series to series so the people can play with different megazords from different series and not feel like one is over sized or the other is shrunken down.

But not include the blue shuriken? Or at the very least advertising the shuriken with another set to be purchased? Also the dragon mode looks wrong, but that may be mistransformation so I won't hold the picture against them.

And selling a completely separate green version of the megazord just to get the elephant when the megazord doesn't change color? Are they going to sell another complete megazord for the UFO and another for the surfer? Where does it end? :???:

How did the go from doing a good job with the Dino Charge zords to this? #-o

I hope that's all it is for everyone who wants to collect the main zords. But it still looks terrible IMHO.

Yeah, thats what I am wondering (although I did find them not hollowing out Titano's belly and instead having sculpted chargers to be kind of lame).

And ok, so we are on the same page. I know they are trying to cut costs, and I am ok with what they have done in the past but that giant head is really lacking here. it really looks off without it.

And I am still really wondering how they will possibly be releasing Lion Ha Oh.

And I too hate how they are handling the auxiliary zords. They di dsuch a good job with Dino Charger. Even giving us some niec new zords too. You really felt you werent missing out collecting the BOA toys.

Kyoryuger is my first and favorite Super Sentai series, so if I did collect megazords I would have been very happy with BoA's downsized zords. I might have collected the special colored ones too if it meant being able to use all the auxiliary zords at once.

I think Saban is making a big mistake skipping ToQger. Kids love trains, and the imaginative ways the villains were defeated were a great laugh. And the series was just plain fun. I think the English adapters are taking Power Rangers way too seriously.

But there is simply no excuse for botching such an important element as the head shuriken of the second form of the main magazord. It just doesn't make any sense.

You dont collect Megazords? Thats too bad. While they do take up space, they are quite cheap. I feel you get a lot of Value. I bought 3 of the main zords for $20 a piece (Ptera, Plesio and the main T-rex with triceratops and stego arms) and while I dont know where I will store them, I feel it was a great value. And I am thinking exactly of what you just said, buying the redecos to go with the auxiliary zords.

I actually dont own any of the extra arms yet. Which do you guys find to be the best? The raptor looks pretty cool with how he becomes a three clawed hand.

I am hoping that they aren't abandoning the individual zord price point that they've had since Samurai and that the green elephant megazord is a special edition type of thing, like all the toy-only zord and megazord recolors from the Dino Charge line.

Or maybe they intend for the 5" action figure of the zord to serve as the individual release, since it's compatible with the megazord?

BOA is probably not showing their full hand.

Yeah, thats what I am thinking. I mean they did so well with Dino Charge. It sold right? I mean it must have if some of those zords are fetching high prices right now. And just to confirm, your saying that these below can fit in the "chair"?

Just crious, but I was at the store looking at all the leftover Dino Charge stuff. I saw the bikes and the armoured figures where the armour can convert to a beast mode AND combine with the megazords. And that got me asking, are there Japanese versions of these too? I havent found any.

Has anyone played with those armoured sets? Which woudl you recomend? Also, which is your favourite zord from the Dino Charge line?

I dont know if Canada ever saw that turtle. It looks cool. Will probably prick up deinosuchus tomorrow.

Oh and here is something else BOA improved over the Japan version: shoulder cannon potential!

Nope. Those are purely American. Which is why I often say that the American Power Rangers toylines are better overall than the Japanese Super Sentai toylines, even if the quality of the similar products is better in Japan. Bandai of America tends to make more fun and playable stuff at a low price.

Something new just went up on AmiAmi (and probably other places, I don't feel like checking):

Super Mini-Pla - Shinka Gattai Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger Daizyujin 5Pack BOX (CANDY TOY)

Image
Image

They're a more advanced kit series compared to the regular Mini-Pla line, a little more like small scale model kits with more parts and colors, though still requiring some stickers and partsforming. Although, this set looks like it should combine pretty easily. It even has ankle tilts, don't see that on a candy toy very often. I ordered a set, looking forward to seeing how the final kit looks (also ordered the GaoGaiGar set recently). They sure blow away the Kabaiya Transformers kits.

How do you like your Lion Ha Oh? I am interested in him and for such an enormours figure, he isnt that expensive. But he is massive and my wife might hate me bringing him in the house.

Anyways, got a question for you guys, we see the t-rex zord toy and it looks very different from the pic we saw earlier (which is more t-rex like).

He's certainly an interesting mech, i thought the idea throne-ception in Ninninger worked well. He is a giant hunk of plastic though, very beefy and very heavy.

You might've missed that i've put my entire super sentai collection up for sale.

Thanks, I checked it out and realized you were in the netherlands. All those prices are nice, but knowing the shiping cost, it will end up costing quite a bit for me, sorry.

Also, for Ninninjer. I really want to wait to see how BOA does it. Do you guys in europe get the Bandai of America stuff?

No problem, man ;) I've tried keeping my prices civil, but i can't do much about shipping costs unfortunately.

As far as i know, we get the American stuff here. I don't visit dutch toystores anymore since they're ridiculously expensive compared to buying TF's off the internet.

That is an old piece of concept art that is assumed to no longer be the appearance of the movie zord.
https://thepowerscoopblog.wordpress.com ... 017-movie/

Going into NYCC we got a series of teaser posters that showcased segments of the zords much closer to the appearances of these toys.
