It was about 30-40 mins too long. the explaination of Megan Fox's absence was lame and destroyed the emotional core of human involvement that the trilogy was going for (glad I didnt shell out the dough for 3d as the new chick's lips were terrifying enough without jumping out of the screen). And Megatron vs Prime was cut down to about 10 seconds.
Like the others, not a good movie, but I got to see big robots punching, and stabbing, and decapitating each other!Stargazer1970 wrote:Ironhide's death at Sentinel Prime's hand made me very upset, angry and i just cried. I hope that I dont stand up in the theatre and scream Noooo!!!
Such heroic nonsense!

I-a personally a-liked when-a da Ferrari pulled-a over and-a ordered a big-a slice-a da pizza pie.

I thought the movie was great, though. I wish Shockwave had some more speaking roles and that Megatron could have had a better fight with Optimus, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. I also want a Cyberverse toy of Shockwave's worm thing!
Yes I have to concur w/u there...After reading the spoiler about Ironhide's death at Sentinel Prime's hand made me very upset, angry and i just cried. I hope that I dont stand up in the theatre and scream Noooo!!! when Ironhide dies... I knew Sentinel would do something bad, but at the time I could not put my finger on it. He has the same personality like he was in G1 and G2, a total jerk and im being nice here. I'd kill Sentinel, that traitor, as well for that he did to Ironhide; as Ironhide is my Favourite Character... after all I have a 2006 Black TopKick w/stacks exactly like Ironhide's Vehicle! w/his name on his licence plate and the Autobot Emblem on his back tailgate (not the same one from BotCon, as mine is nicer). I'll feel strange getting into my Topkick knowing that the character is dead....I hope that they bring Ironhide back! Probably not...I have yet to see the movie, wont be able to see it till July 7th.
That's what I did! And I had my 3D Optimus Prime mask on and took it off and threw it at the screen.
Maybe not that last part.

When jazz died they actually picked the guys pieces and tried to save him.. they're reaction to irons death ws like ...... (autobots)"we didnt see anything.."
yes I am upset about Ironhide's death, and I have not seen the movie yet, just read it as a spoiler a few days ago. Ironhide is my favourite Character! I even have a Topkick exactly like the character's vehicle mode. Now I will feel odd getting into my Topkick when I know the character is dead.hmmm? I even cried at the fact that Irohide is dead... I hope that I dont stand up in the theatre and scream NOOOOO!!!! When Ironhide is brutally killed...
What did Ironhide do to Bay to get him Killed? probably Bay didnt like him, hope they bring Ironhide back in TF4, Probably not
If you feel that way, then for your sake, I would not watch the first 10 minutes of the '86 movie if I were you.
Especially if you own a red Nissan Vanette.

Overcracker wrote:And can someone explain why Megatron suddenly goes into Robot depression, and just sits out the final battle until Rosie manages to reverse Psychology him into attacking Sentinel. That was really really strange to me, as up to that point he had been the master behind the entire Sentinel deal. And since when is Megs concerned about his planet, he just wants to conquer all, not save his planet.

Actually, there was. When Wheelie was sitting on the couch, watching Star Trek, he says "I've seen this one. It's where Spock goes crazy." Spock, of course, being Lenard Nimoy and Nimoy, of course, voicing Sentinel Prime who does kind of go bananas and against his Autobot brethren.
Am I reaching? Anyone? Anyone?

I also noticed that.

I think it's my fault though, I was watching it for the action scenes which weren't what I was expecting. There weren't any big brawls like the forest battle in RotF, it was a lot of smaller action scenes that went by really fast. In fact that's really my only complaint, so much happened so fast that I didn't get a chance to retain all of it. On the plus side though that will make repeat viewing more enjoyable.

I thought the same thing when I first watched DOTM. I thought to myself "I thought this going to mes going to be more exciting than this. Then I let the movie sit. And the more I thought about it the more I loved it. Then I saw it a second time and got the same feeling I expected to get the first time I saw it.

mongrel wrote:Its a damn shame Bay killed off so many key characters ensuring no one else COULD take over the helm using the current crop of bot designs. Now it would have to be a complete reboot, which no one would do for years.
Oh well, at least there'll be more toys.
