Naturally. G1 Ultra Magnus was a thick and chunky boi.Till-all-R1 wrote:I realized it the other day when looking at Kingdom's side profile and how thick/chunky it is with the trailer attachments. Particularly the legs,

Commander Optimus for 2024 is a distinct possibility, especially considering that Hasbro already confirmed that the next HasLab for the 40th anniversary will not be an Optimus, gun Megatron, or another Victory character.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Realized while out of the house that I forgot the most important one for this thread in my release schedule reminder: based off last time we heard anything about him from JTPrime/anyone credible, SS86 Commander Ultra Magnus is slotted for an October release, so he'll probably be revealed alongside Wave 4 assuming nothing has changed.
What do we think, Commander Magnus in 2023, Commander Optimus Prime in 2024 for the 40th (take a deep breath), and finally Commander Power Master Optimus Prime in 2025? Plenty of room for repaints along the way too.

Well Powermaster OP wouldn't exactly fit in SS86, so he'd have to be the Commander release for whatever-line-follows-Legacy (and I would hate to see effectively 3 straight years of Commander Optimus's across Generations lines), but I would be absolutely shocked if an SS86 Commander Optimus DOESN'T happen next year, it seems like the lowest-hanging fruit possible.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Realized while out of the house that I forgot the most important one for this thread in my release schedule reminder: based off last time we heard anything about him from JTPrime/anyone credible, SS86 Commander Ultra Magnus is slotted for an October release, so he'll probably be revealed alongside Wave 4 assuming nothing has changed.

Till-all-R1 wrote:Not really keen on Commander Optimus or Megs, though I wouldn't mind a better version of a G1 version as I didn't much care for ER Megs and was hoping for a repaint w/o battle damage.
I'd also consider a Titan Superion.
RID Megatron maybe, just due to sheer number of modes (and the parts/engineering required)?-Kanrabat- wrote:I wonder how any version of Megatron could be a Commander?

Since SS86 is going to be over before we know it I'm guessing they'll do more stuff from TV that hasn't been well handled by Hasbro (SS Japan?) and more game stuff. I think the SSGE WFC stuff is just setting a standard before they go full on into figures for the new Reactivate game.

Only so many characters appeared in the movie, and a lot if them have been done already. So there is definitely an end. But I am very ecstatic at the prospect of EVERY character being done.sol magnus wrote:Emerje wrote:

According to Evan, it's not even close to over for SS86 as he says EVERY CHARACTER in the movie is "on the table"(assist from DMac). I know that sounds...ambitious, but it does seem to indicate there's no end in sight to this part of Studio Series.

What if they're just rereleases in SS86 packaging? Like Blaster was for Kingdom and Legacy?Emerje wrote:sol magnus wrote:Emerje wrote:

That would mean redoing a whole lot of figures already done really well in WFC and Legacy. Do we really need another Cyclonus? Glavatron? All the Seekers? Insecticons? I have a lot of doubts.
As a reminder (because I guess that's just what I do in this thread these days), we've got like a wave and a half's-worth of 2024 SS listings, so we know that Leader Swoop and another Wreck-Gar retool are on the docket, plus the potentially-mislabeled listings of "MV6"/Bumblebee Core Rumble, Deluxe Sunstreaker, and Leader Megatron (and possibly Voyager Shockwave, but I think that one is actually correct since Shockwave was actually in that film).Sowndwave76 wrote:Between a CC Prime, Swoop, hopefully a new Soundwave, a new Sunstreaker, and maybe 1 other, that could be enough to cover SS86’s share of the SS releases for the year.
I mean, I'm not confident on it, he's just the only one I could think of that could hit the right combination of size + complexity/parts count. I haven't seen much RiD, but I'm pretty sure from what I remember that Megs was taller than Scourge (who we have currently at Voyager-ish height) and around the same size as Optimus in his armored/combined modes or just slightly shorter, and that Optimus would almost certainly be a Commander release himself at this point, so I'm thinking that height plus the engineering and parts count to hit anywhere between 6-10 alt modes could get it up there.-Kanrabat- wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:RID Megatron maybe, just due to sheer number of modes (and the parts/engineering required)?-Kanrabat- wrote:I wonder how any version of Megatron could be a Commander?
I don't think it would be anymore than Transmetal Megatron.
That is, unless he'd be significantly bigger.

Well this one should be in the "figures-Hasbro-will-never-make" thread, but if we got a leader class Silverbolt with 4 voyager Aerialbots, I would most likely cream my pants. But going by Legacy Menasor, it's very doubtful, even if adding up the prices for all 5 Stunticons equals to a Titan price.Till-all-R1 wrote:I'd also consider a Titan Superion.
