Yeah I kinda forgot about Optimus Primal, it's kinda weird that it's gonna on kinda forgotten. Then again, they never actually showed the prototype, they just showed a model of his ape mode, so maybe they're still working on it???

I'm serious, it's only good if you have the lighting just right, otherwise it's just darkness. And even then it's dependent on a large section of the head being translucent to work which looks terrible in itself. And if they screw up and the plastic isn't translucent enough then it's a complete loss. I'll take brightly colored eyes over anything light piped any day.

Optimus Primal was so early it's surprising they even revealed it. Don't expect him to be released until late 2016. Before that I'm thinking MP-30 will be something big and animated movie 30th Anniversary based not Beast Wars. Galvatron or Megatron Perhaps?

YES there is a rumour about an MP Megatron, related to some line drawings on the inside of Hasbro's MP Bluestreak box.
I really hope they complete the season 3 characters. I have Generations Springer, so he'll do for MP Springer, and CW Cyclonus is about the right size compared to the others. MP Hot Rod seems to be about voyager size, and I'm kinda hoping Takara comes out with that MP Arcee rumoured. I also think that CW Leader Ultra Magnus looks like a pretty good size.

Funny thing is, in some fig, light piping was built in but painted over no? Legends Arcee made good use of lightpiping. Iirc, the original Brave series by Takara had excellent lightpiping features. Todays TFs , some are great some don't translate well.

So, in MP, no lightpiping for me too.

You know what I find super coll for the eyes, a metalic finish. Like on Transfomrers Go Bodura, RID 2001 Prime and Big Convoy

Also, Optimus Primal was confirmed for next year since it celebrates 20 years of Beat Wars starting. They actually stated in the reveal that 2016t was the year of the beast masterpiece. Just like YOTM Primal is for the 20th anniversary. Kinda sad actually, you have 2 confirmed toys to celebrate the milestone and BOTH are coming from eastern markets. Hasbro America has yet to reveal anything they are doing for the anniversary.

While I am right there with you, I can see why Hasbro would be doing this. As a business movie, the fans of the G1 movie are making more money on average than those who grew up with Beast Wars since they are older and probably more advanced in their respective careers. They are also more aware of this era of the brand when deciding what to buy for children.

While I am right there with you, I can see why Hasbro would be doing this. As a business movie, the fans of the G1 movie are making more money on average than those who grew up with Beast Wars since they are older and probably more advanced in their respective careers. They are also more aware of this era of the brand when deciding what to buy for children.

Perhaps, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't do something, anything to honor it, hell, I'd take a movie brimstone colored like manterror (still an awesome idea ) over nothing but G1 as far the eye can see, and an overpriced primal prime

TT is always doing a "Mandrake" on us. Who'd have thought back then that Metroplex would get a re-issue just before the KOers released one? Or even G1 Skylynx and Omega Supreme? Or even "Exhaust"?

So keep it coming TT, who knows, maybe we'll get the original Emperor of Destruction sooner than we think(?).

I wouldn't be too worried about it. They botched the 30th anniversary for the most part, so I'd assume they'll do the same with the movie's anniversary.

We've gotten more G1 figures in 2015, than we did 2014, which was the actual anniversary. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened in '17. If anything, the anniversary figures will come out alongside the new movie figures. Or they'll be retailer exclusives so they don't interfere with the other lines in general.

Or, they may not do a thing about the anniversary since it'll be a movie line year and they'll already have a movie line out. I'd not be the least bit surprised if Hasbro doesn't even mention the anniversary or do anything about it.

I'm sure we'll find out more of their plans as time goes on, but I sincerely doubt we have too much to worry about.

Oh and as for Titan Wars hitting the back burner once the movie line hits, it's the same as any other line since the movies started. It's to be expected.

Ugh. Real fur would smell in time. Get anything on it and it'll stay stinky, no thanks.

As for the recolors? Gray for sure, some exclusive somewhere. Green? Perhaps BAPE, which will be prohibitively expensive.
