What extra pieces? The sword pegs in between the arms in vehicle mode

Optimus has a robot mode and a super robot mode, right? Where's the armor for the super mode go when he's in regular robot mode?chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That reminds me, what exactly does happen to this Optimus toy's extra altmode pieces when he's not wearing them? Fracture is amazing. He really feels like the character on the show. Highly recommended.

Get TAV Thunderhoof man. Seriously. Deluxe of the year.

They designed a toy which, by admission, had all the effort put into Robot mode because the vehicle mode can barely be described as a vehicle and has a detachable cab piece
And yet the robot mode itself is a bit crap?

The reason for your confusion is the amount of love Takara put into a deco of what is essentially a big kiddie toy along the likes of that giant bumblebee or Mega 3-step prime (or 5 step megatonus). The robot mode isnt great for poseability and the vehicle mode is there for the sake of it, its for kids. But Takara had to go and make him awesome looking so of course us collectors are curious. But its still a big toy for kids. I guess the best alegory would be that he is this line's Giant Dragon Optimus:
