Let's make something clear... I love these movies.

I just want to know what you think shouldn't have been done.

My list :-? :

1. Killing Megatron in the end of the first movie (he comes back right away, there was no point)
2. Killing Jazz
3. Killing Optimus (same reason as megs)
4. Killing Jetfire

He unnessecarily killed a lot of characters :-(

what you said plus

optimus' seeming lack of remorse over jazz's death

oh jazz, anyway we have new allies - doh-eth

making jetfire a joke character

not enough dialogue for the bots and cons.

including jolt in movie. Was pointless inclusion, didnt speak, energised the jet pack.

1. Him dieing and coming back is almost a requirement anymore in a Transformers series. :P
2. Yeah that did suck. Wish he'd lived.
3. See #1.
4. Didn't Jetfire sacrifice himself to save the day in G1 too? That and combining with Optimus struck me more as a homage.

Killing off Optimus and bringing him back in the same movie.

I wish that Optimus had died towards the end of ROTF after destroying the sun harvester, allowing The Fallen to live, but not to destroy the world. Then DOTM could be about The Fallen controlling the planet, and killing thousands of people; and then DOTM could be about Bringing Optimus back so they could kill The Fallen.

If I felt like typing now, I'd describe it more clearly. Too bad I don't feel like it.
Oh, and not putting the twins n DOTM. I liked them.

Ditto. As much as I love RotF as it turned out in the end, to see what they could have made if the writers had been allowed to finish the damn script (bloody unions) would have been interesting to say the least.

I was thinking the ROTF could almost have been the final movie. Or maybe bringing out/killing "The Fallen" could have been better spent in the last movie.

In a way, when watching these movies, you could compare it to a single G1 cartoon, however that doesn't mean I want to see 98 movies. I get it, "if 3 movies are going to be it" there spreading it around while trying to still be able to tie them together.

I get killing off Megs at the end of the first one, had to have closure, yet build interest/speculation for the sequel.

I'd say the biggest mistake would be "In my opinion" to not continue into perhaps 5 or 6 movies before calling it over. Bring it to an overall closure. And make the movie(s) based on that. Make a 4th, knowing there will be one more so you don't have to fit in a fast and hurried story into 2 hours.
New pics added as I find time.

apparently he died ina movie related comic at hands of shockwave

absolute waste of pixels in the movie really

And yeah prime's death was wasted by having him come back so quickly.

If script wasnt ready, then they should have held off. Most intelligent fans would wait for a more complete movie, than one with an incomplete script

And jetfire never died in the animated series

You need to stop taking things out of context just so you can have a rant. Shamone did nothing but correct a misunderstanding.

Ah, turns out you're correct. Probably forgot he was revived since I haven't seen G1 in over a decade. Quoting the Transformers wiki.

Note: He was known as "Skyfire" back then.

Millions of years later, in 1984, the Decepticons excavated the frozen Skyfire while draining heat energy from the Earth's core and reactivated him. Reunited with his old friend, Starscream, Skyfire joined the Decepticon ranks. When the Autobots arrived, Skyfire engaged in battle with them, but then saved the Autobots' human allies Sparkplug and Spike Witwicky when they became stranded on an ice floe. Naively, he took the two to Megatron under the impression that he and the other Decepticons were good, but when Megatron took them as prisoners, Skyfire started to question his allegiance. When Starscream ordered him to destroy the captured Autobot search party, he refused, and Starscream turned his weapons on him, leaving him heavily damaged. Repaired by Ratchet, he joined the Autobot side and engaged in a dogfight with Starscream which ended when he sacrificed himself to stop the core drain, burying himself in ice once again in the process.

A short time later, however, Skyfire was recovered by Wheeljack and Sideswipe, and immediately participated in an attack on the Decepticons in Peru, where the antagonists were once again attempting to use the Earth's core energy for their own means. Skyfire was almost permitted to destroy the villains' new weapon by Thundercracker, but was then blasted by Starscream and repaired with some difficulty by Spike.

While I'll give you Jetfire not dieing, his combining with Optimus is a homage to the Unicron trilogy. That much can't be argued with.

casting shia labouf. He's so terrible, unrelateable, bad delivery on every line. He's what we watch throughout most of these films, and it's just awful. If you're going to focus a big robot movie on a male actor, get a good one, you know?

Biggest mistake Bay made...hmm...
how about making them in the first place! He's a greedy idiot who doesn't know crap about Transformers and doesn't care about what we want.
Just had to get that off my chest. 8)
I will laugh hysterically if anyone takes that seriously.

Seriously though, the toilet humour was what did it for me. It wasn't that funny.
Then again, that's the humour my generation loves, so I guess Bay was adapting to his audience.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

Killing Jazz was unnecessary. I don't have a problem with the Twins, but I'd gladly trade in those two for Jazz to have been spared.

Not a fan of the dorky humor and toilet jokes either.

Well, Jazz was killed because Poniac didn't want their product involved in a "war movie" (A bunch of punk ass b!*ches if you ask me.) So, they killed off Jazz. They could have just changed his alt mode to a company that wasn't a complete fudge wad.

And where is your proof? This makes absolutely no sense as Pontiac was a subtary of GM and considering they had no problems with Hummer, Chevy, and GMC being involved in a war movie, i don't see why they would decide any different for Pontiac. That, and if they were so concerned with it, they never would have had the Pontiac Brand involved in the movie in the first place.

That actually sounds more like the reason Volkswagon won't allow Hasbro to use their cars for a Bumblebee figure awhile back. They're a German company and their country is heavily into censorship of violence after all.
