Daleks get hold of the Tardis, Missy and Clara. Threaten to exterminate Missy and Clara and destroy the Tardis.
Missy tells the Daleks they could use the Tardis to go anywhere in time and space and kill anyone they want but they'll need her to pilot the Tardis for them.
Daleks have an established history of time travel, but this episode made it sound like they'd never mastered it themselves.

Well the reason I asked is because, wasn't it established the Russell T Davies era, daleks have some sort of internalized time travel device? I mean that's very recent, you can't really excuse that much discontinuity with something that recent.
