They are two of my all time favorite designs as well (hell, ALL of the War Within stuff is my favorite take on G1 characters), but I do think they got as good of treatement as they could what with being tiny 6" titaniums with limited transform options. I'm sure if we ever saw larger plastic versions one day, they'd be spot-on.
What I would REALLY like to see is more Stormbringer designs. Seems that many of the Classics had a Stormbringer influence, especially Jetfire, so it would be all kinds of awesome to see toy versions of the Prime & Megs designs done for that mini-series.

Can't wait to get them both.
I second Joebot's question:
Can Megatron's Gun be placed on his arm, in a kind of G1 Megs type deal. There seems to be a hole in his forearm. But I don't know whether his gun would fit there, although if it did it would look awesome.

Contrary to complaints, I feel that his tank mode is not a let down. I mean - he's certainly got a better tank mode than Lay-Me-Down-Megatron ....

I believe it does as the pic in my little advert I got with my Fallen shows the cannon on the arm.
And speaking of the Fallen, I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in him. He's alright. The Robot mode is definitely awsome. But the tank is actually disappointing in many ways. And why the heck do the instructions call for the removal of the arm cannons to transform??!?!! It's almost as bad as Unicron's transformation instructions. Plus, it required an engineering degree to remove him from his packaging...where's the Tylenol?

But this titanium design IS the Dreamwave version. The only reason it doesn't look the same (in alt mode) is because they were unable to engineer the lower legs & treads to shift outwards and move up to fit tighter against the front treads. If they did that, the toy would look MUCH more like the tank that it is intended to be, and be as close of a match to the way it was drawn in the comic as Prime's figure is to his comic version.
All in all, yeah, the alt mode of WW Megs is a letdown, but it is very much indeed based on the original Dreamwave drawings... even if it doesn't appear to be
