As you can see, the sides of the head stay the same, but her face sculpt is much more in line with her depiction in fiction so far.
Here's the rest of the pictures.
At this rate, Pathfinder should be leaked by tomorrow. Are you all excited to see another Gobots inspired figure? Do you plan on picking her up when she's released? Let us know what you think below!

Bounti76 wrote:He's a Decepticon in this continuity because of the first fiction these versions of the Gobots had. A team of both Renegades and Guardians came to this universe, disguised themselves as Autobots and Decepticons, and worked within both factions to find a solution to the event that was destroying their home universe. Treds got in with the Decepticons to basically keep an eye on Bug Bite and Bad Boy.
But even that was a reference to his GoBot toy having the wrong faction sticker, right?
TFWiki says that eHobby Treads' color scheme was based on how Warpath was colored in a Takara catalog or promo, but I'd still like to think it was also referencing that one panel in the first UK Annual where he's colored green, like how Small Foot and Road Ranger's colors were based on that page in 'The Autobot's Lightning Strike' where Gears and Huffer are miscolored. Or was there some other source for those too?
And I'm so glad they bothered to remold her face, looks awesome!

I wonder if that means we could get another three pack in the future?
Just need new Seaspray and we can have a set of Man-O-War (Seaspray), BuggyMan (Beachcomber), and Rest Q (Cliffjumper).
Also this is the early Takara image that inspired the e-Hobby set members Bad Boy and Path Finder, along with Timelines BuggyMan and Man-O-War and FunPub Nacelle.

I'd love that too, I just watched the whole series along with an old college friend, and we plan to try out my Battle of the Rock Lords VHS on his birthday. There IS enough of a following, but there's also the 3-way legal tug-of-war between Hasbro owning the characters, Bandai owning the original Machine Robo toys and related designs, and Time Warner owning the cartoon and likeness rights that would be necessary to produce Gobot toys in the Generations/Masterpiece style emphasizing accuracy to vintage fiction that Transformers have been enjoying for 2 decades now. Gobots deserves it, but 3 parties each demanding their pound of flesh just doesn't make it economically viable. As an avid gobot fan why oh why Is she orange lol. I was hoping for red. I get it it’s timeline stuff but man I’m ready for real modern gobot toys
As for orange, I think it comes from this Ladybird illustration I mentioned before:
If someone interpreted blue representing black, in the mighty Marvel tradition, this should explain Road Ranger's Huffer repaint as well, but if anyone has better information that refutes this, please chime in.

Although there aren’t a lot of characters who have a main color of orange either.
Plus that’s a Yellow-Orange.
Most people don’t realize that the legit orange color is darker and closer to Red-Orange.
If Hastak could ever make updated GoBots, I would most likely buy them. Or at least some of them.
I wasn’t really impressed with the new Crasher.
But from what it sounds, there may be a couple too many hurdles for this to ever happen.

Actions Toys was somehow able to get away with making an animation-accurate Cy-Kill face for one of their updated Bike Robo figures in their official Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos line, so it seems other companies working directly with Bandai instead of Hasbro might have it easier.Sowndwave76 wrote:But from what it sounds, there may be a couple too many hurdles for this to ever happen.

Yeah, I have that figure, it's amazing. Those GoBot faces were more like an unofficial bonus than anything.

Timelines colors to go with the Timelines face sculpt.
Plus M Sipher's photos show her as orange instead of yellow.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Man-O-War in the main line with Seaspray going into an Exclusive multipack with how they handled Hound! lol
That said, I probably wouldn't say no to that suggested three pack as I find the Cliffjumper repaint kind of interesting. I'm still waiting on Beachcomber form EE so if a repaint was released and available before I get that in my hand it might sting a little. I'd also go for that Thrust repaint and anyone's listening. Can't say I'm a big enough fan of GoBots to want them all though, I got Crasher because of the unique and striking look to her.

She was yellow in her first Timelines fiction appearance, too.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Wait, why is this new Small Foot orange when the original toy was yellow?
Timelines colors to go with the Timelines face sculpt.
The same appearance which used the pink color of the face from the toy, while the later one instead made her face the same light gray as her thighs.

I'm sure they had some sort of rationale behind it, either they were trying to meet half way between the yellow and darker orange from Timelines, or basing it on Greg's pic on TFWiki, or maybe it's just bad photography because the truck image looks more like dark yellow than light orange so it might be a little brighter in hand.

What sucks is the original figure has a waist swivel but has poor leg and head articulation which they gave the new figure. Damnation I had intention to part ways with my Armada figure but now I just don't know.
That's a fine DK move , way to go!

So I can no longer say I've never seen Legacy Toxitron collection Leaders at Walmart, spotted this Saturday morning.
Scanned it with the Walmart app and it was indeed full price. Between seeing this for the first time ever (got mine Pulse and Walmart.com) and the other local Walmart getting the Deluxe figures for the first time a few weeks ago it really does feel like Walmart is restocking these to fill space until the Star Raiders come out.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. It was the biggest headache I've ever experienced doing an upgrade kit.
Regular Prime benefits all around, I like the height extension and covers. But the replacement gold super hands are terrible. The thumbs constantly pop off and their articulated in the wrong direction (they spread instead of straighten) and have a removable 5mm "cup" for holding the gun, but it isn't strong enough to hold, especially if you use the gun extension making it twice as heavy. Why they didn't just make a permanent 5mm ring that can fold into the palm is beyond me. The new chest piece is OK, looks good in super mode, looks too tall in alt mode. annoyingly the part you pop off has a mushroom peg, but the new part just has a normal peg so instead of sliding the part to change positions you're supposed to pop it off and back on. But overall this was all pretty easy, and reassembling the legs was pretty painless compared to, say, replacing ratchets on Fort Max. Probably would have recommended it if this was it, but...
In super mode there's a large part on the back that you're expected to remove a very long, maybe 3 inch pin from to do so. How hard can that be, they even included a tool with no explanation or advice. First I tried to just muscle it out. Yeah right! So then I went and got a hammer, and after AN HOUR of pounding on the pin remover and the pin not even moving a little bit I somehow managed to poke a hole down the side of the pin since the plastic is hollow and thin. Kept trying, but the pin remover just kept slipping off into the hole. So then I went on YouTube to watch reviews and of the three I watched all of them had the same complaint about the near impossibility of removing that damn pin and resorting to hammers to get it out. So my next idea was to use channellocks and try to use them like a hydraulic press and force the pin out... and broke the outside plastic right off the end. Welp, no going back now, used the channellocks to basically "chew" the plastic off around one end of the pin so I could get a good grip on the pin. Got a good grip with the channellocks, started working it out... and the end snapped off the pin flush with the plastic that I needed to keep. So now I have to "chew" the plastic off the other end and finally was able to pull the damn pin out! This was OVER 2 HOURS wasted on this effing thing! Thankfully I was able to get the new part and the replacement pin back in place (mostly, it's sticking out slightly, but I just need to get my little finish hammer out of the shed because it's a tight space). And all that work resulted in a part that really isn't much better than the original, it just splits awkwardly for more leg clearance I guess, folding would have been better than splitting. There's also a right angle part you're supposed to use to make the red missile pod not stick out as far off the back, but it's much, much too loose at both ends and just pops off. And finally there's the parts you're supposed to put on the bottom of his feet that are meant to give him a slight bit of height and cover the back of the trailer in alt mode but they connect at the very end of the toe (and there's a rather annoying gap) and just sag when you pick him up looking like he's wearing flipflops.
He does look OK standing, but for what this kit cost and how janky it is (and not being able to reverse one of the replacement parts) it's just no good.

The DNA Design kits are WORTHLESS. Especially for the price paid. Often, they require disassembly with iffy results.
If one wants some upgrade kits, go for the Chinese indy who 3D print the stuff. So far, the best ones are found at Nonnef, and AliExpress DP Robot Store.
The only flaw with 3D printed stuff is that some can be badly designed and have pins or panels too thin that will snap like dried up cake icing or a dry twig. You'll have to pull your customization skills to dance around that problem if that happen.

I have and love all of their citybot sets, they're great! I have the Core Dinobot upgrade coming and I think that'll be a good one as well as some of the upcoming ROTB weapon upgrades. I think upgrades that really "transform" the appearance of figures or add to the experience is DNA's strength, but aside from Armada Prime's leg extensions that required new shoulder covers this set doesn't really "change" anything, it just attempts and fails to improve on what we got. If this set was just the smaller Prime's parts it would have been a 7/10 because the new hands suck, but as a total package it's a 5/10.

Notable elements shown in the poster art below that differ from the final version of the line are:
- The fact that "Evolution" was originally going to be a subtitle for the first year of the line instead of the second, which is why store listings labeled all of the first-year Legacy toys as "Legacy EV".
- Straxus is pictured prominently at the bottom-center just above the logo, as he was going to be the main antagonist character of the line and would have seen release as a Leader class toy, until he was canceled and replaced with the Legacy Transmetal II Megatron toy.
- HasLab Unicron's head sits ominously in the upper background, suggesting he might have played a role in whatever the original plans for the toyline's story was.
- A tagline for the line is given at the top of the poster.

This thing is a mix between the "upgraded" form of Optimus at the end of the last animated season and Cybertron Optimus. And DAMN, does this thing look cool.

There's a huge difference between an article published in some magazine barely anyone knows about (14 years ago, no less!) and a TV show that was broadcasted all over the world, with a toyline , and several references and remakes.
People talked about the "jetwing" Animated Optimus. There's a Takara toy of it. I have it. People love and ADORES the Cybertron / Galaxy Force Optimus. It's always mentioned to be one of the best Optimus toy ever. Plus there was an hommage in Siege and by extension, Legacy. Both are fairly "mainstream".
I've been on this forum since 2010. Not a single soul ever mentioned that abandoned Animated design before you did TODAY.
Face it. That knowledge is among the geekiest of the hardcore you can ever have. This is light years from being mainstream.
And that's okay.
