He's out, but he wasn't part of the planned release. This is what's considered "wave 1":

http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/imag ... cklist.pdf

...um. He's on the checklist. Plus he was mention in the press release about items being available on June 2nd...

Ack. Wow ... I must not be able to read. I swear he wasn't on there. Ah well ... I was wrong!

No biggie. I'm just glad he's available, period.

Same here, he's just such a cool figure. I spent only $40 today. I got Bumblebee, Barricade, FAB Prime and FAB Starscream.

I was very pleased with all of them.

Also, there was not even ONE Leader Megatron. He eithier sold out very fast, or he likes being fashionably late.

Whatever. I will wait.

He wasn't supposed to be released today. He's not part of wave one. :)

Then there is hope after all!!!

dammit i live halfway across the world where wal-mart doesn't ring a bell at all and movie deluxe vehicles cost ~USD15-16 each ):
still, i'm getting the voyager blackout and movie deluxe barricade for sure. anw 2 questions:

1. are they gonna release the "new" Camaro Bumblebee? i kind of prefer the new camaro...

2. is the movie deluxe Barricade the same as the Barricade found in the Wal-Mart exclusive Bumblebee/Barricade First Encounter 2-pack? cos in the promo pictures i see online the Movie Deluxe Barricade has one set of wheels wheels sticking up into the air while the First Encounter Barricade has his wheels folded down to form part of his shoulder which looks much better, imo.
(if you don't get me, look up http://hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=brow ... t_id=19524 and http://hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=brow ... t_id=19848 and spot the difference between the 2 Barricade's arms)

thanks!

He'll be released later on this summer, probably in the same wave as Arcee.

I don't own the two-pack Barricade, but looking closely it's very very likely that it's the same figure. Why change it? That would just cost them more money when they could just use the same figure that's already been produced.

yea that's true. they look similar in every other aspect too, sans the top part of his arms. or maybe Hasbro just decided not to fold his wheels inwards for the Deluxe promotional picture.

so... can anyone who owns the Deluxe Barricade help me check if the top part of Barricade's arms (the front wheels of his alt mode i believe) can be folded inwards?

Very impressive disoplay! It has never been this huge since... I can't remember. XD I went to TRU (Plaza Las Americas, Puerto Rico) yesterday (06/02/2007) and the display was pretty impressive with huge cardboard banners and everything. I also went to KBT (same place and day and the previous day (06/01/2007) @ Santa Rosa Mall, Bayamon) and the display was "humbled" in comparison. On the former KBT they had a cardboard Otimus figure at the store etntrance while it was abscent from the later, at least the day I went. Another difference but this time between KBT and TRU is that the later had more of the Real Gear and other stuff while on the former I did not see the RG on any of the two branches I went to (about the other stuff I am not sure since must of the stuff is unappealing to me but the RG things I am sure of).

On a side note I went on a shooping spree in "celebration" of a little parttime job I got delivering fliers (not the big deal and quite hard as I worked for the same guy before and it is always like 6-8 hours of walking like mail persons delivering mail... but under my present citrcumstances, I welcoem the extra income) and I bout Live (my own personal brand for anything related to Bay's movie) (Decepticon) Brawl and Wreckage. But the frosty of the cake was Titanium megatron (COBRA) tank!!!! Not new news but knowing how unlikely this line will be given much attention (if it ever has) I jumped at the oportunity right away. The first two were bought on KBT and the later on TRU. I went there to get the former two but there weren't any so I had to buy KBT's slightly overpriced "alternatives". >_< Maybe the guy I saw there (TR) doing a house cleaning like around 3:30 - 4:00 PM had snatched them already. XD

This is killing me! How come every sale or release happens either during rent, or the week I DON'T get Paid!?!

That's what credit cards are for my friend. I just got my nice clear Blue American Express with no interest and I'm hankering to try it out.

Man don't do this off credit!

You'll be paying this off forever and the bots'll wind up costing 5 times as much in the long run (that no intrest goes away)

Pay it cash, and you don't have to worry about repo men taking your toys away!

Just some friendly advice.

The top part of his shoulders is on a ball joint. You can pose it however you'd like. The toys appear to be the same. I own both.

$80 later and a comment that "I have a wonderful voice" from a cute checkout girl at TRU and I now own Leader Optimus, Starscream and Ironhide. They're wonderful. These are what I've come to expect from Transformers. Excellent transformations and the Voyagers are actually bulky and large enough to be worth the price. I was utterly amazed at just how large Starscream is.

I stopped at Target and looked at Robo Vision Prime. I had to pass on him. He just doesn't compare to the Leader version. Didn't pick up any deluxes though. Just not very appealing. I would have got Barricade at least but with no pivot point on his head I refuse to pay the money.

 Man I wish the shops in Shepparton(where I live) had displays like that. Nice! My June 2nd haul consisted of getting the G1 plushies.I nearly squealed when I found them. My mother had the guts to refer to them and my other TF buys as boys toys.We know that that is a bunch of BS.Most people would think that they are cute. Now I need to find the Robot Heroes Megs and Mags and BB and Soundwave. Couldn't get them when I got my TF buys on Monday.

the wal-mart i went to today is a crap hole but they at least had the real gear transformers so i picked up speed dial 800 wictch is pretty cool. i can't wait to get all of the rest of the movie transformers and to see the movie.
