While I'm loving the trend of alternate heads in these BB 4packs, and as cool as the red visor on the autotrooper alternate head is, a quick tfwiki check shows that the only time autotroopers had red visors was in...
Kiss Players.
So, uh, props to legacy for being exceedingly,
dangerously thorough in its breadth of represented continuities?
Bottoms up, Atari!
I've done Quintesson army building too, but have way more 3P Allicon's since the ER deluxe's aftermarket price (naturally) rose until troop building with it is no longer worth it large scale, so choosing it over a Sharkticon was a great call AFAIC.
All the debate over whether this Seeker's different enough from TC really makes me miss Zobovor's old site; he could analyze that particular issue way more thoroughly than any other fan or TFWiki. The frustrating part is that even if it is different enough, it begs the question: are we ever going to get as many different repaints of the ER Starscream mold as Classics Starscream got, legit and KO? And if so, how many of us might actually devote the space and cash necessary to collect them all someday, especially if, like me, they already have most of the Classics Seekers? (Pretty sure I only lack the Games of Deception trio, unless there's some obscure same-size decent quality KO I'm unaware of)
I guess my point is, I'd be more excited about ER Air Warrior too. Could it be that Hasbro's decided that shade of purple is now Slipstream's color scheme, and won't slap it on a G1-CHUGenerations Seeker until they tweak the mold a bit to give us a female Seeker ripe for army buildin'?
But speaking of excited, I doubt anyone here is more excited for that Skullgrin retool than me! I really hope that it's deemed the most obscure and least desirable of the bunch, and floods Ebay as soon as this is released, even if that risks sending Hasbro the wrong message about revisiting that particular well in the future. I need to throw the rest of my custom Cybertronians up on Transtopia sometime.
All in all, looks like this should be Target's Buzzworthiest 4-pack to date! Not that they can't try to top it down the road.
