Me, I think they all look good, and somehow I'm fascinated by Ultra Mammoth. Poor Big Convoy, having to share same fate as Optimus Prime when it comes to repaints...

I really don't think the Club will be able to pull this off. I really don't like how to get the nicer figures like Scourge, for sure, you have get saddled with crap like Ultra Mammoth (something they couldn't get rid of on clearance were this normal).
I'm gonna have to stick up for tfcc sideburn mine is just fine I have every paint of that mold and they all feel the same but u never know maybe u got a crappy release
Agred. As someone who has both a Side Burn and a KO Rodimus, you can certainly tell the difference in plastic quality and construction.

Have you been reading this thread? UM is proving to be one of the most popular figures of this batch

To a degree I was exaggerating, I'm sure you're right that whatever KO this is is of lower quality. Though I remember reading others who had similar problems with Sideburn, and it seems many did not get the correct guns with SG Drift, to state a more recent example.
KO's are crappy no doubt, but these are things we can't be too quick to forget. I do not believe the TFC has the most appropriate track record.Diem wrote:Nekoman wrote:

I don't know about that... But I will say this: it's easier to be positive on something when there's no price tag attached.
This is a big figure and it will no doubt run up the price of the subscription more than another deluxe or even a voyager would. I figure it will be even more costly when it goes up for individual sale. A lot of folks probably aren't thinking of this.
Even then, what if you don't like BW toys? They're trying to throw in something for everyone, but the problem with that is that everyone will likely get one or more figures they have no interest in. These should be organized more like the Botcon sets, where there's a theme, and someone interested in one of the figures is likely to at least accept the rest.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big BWN fan. I just know a lot of folks who might be interested in this subscription aren't, and this figure also just feels like a repaint made for the sake of being a repaint.
And on an unrelated note: I can't believe they did that Jazz repaint for an Animated figure over a BB-repaint Waspinator. Big missed opportunity on that one.

Wait. Seriously?But...he's a blue mammoth! White, I could see, but blue?
(Okay, blue and white, but still.)
And would it have killed them to make him look like G1 Ultra Magnus in robot mode? Blue head, silver antenna, no face plate, colors in the correct order, etc...
I really don't know why I'm complaining. I'm not even gonna buy the danged thing!
I personally also like Ultra Mammoth. It made me want to get the universe Nemesis Prime (but then I looked on eBay and that this is going at like $100-$150).
Some of those picture look very photoshoped and test-shotty. So he might very well look better down the line.
One...hu..hu...hundred?Why did I sell mine years ago? >_<

Yeah, that's a strange choice. But then the same people who are whining about Scourge being an exclusive would whine about that too.And on an unrelated note: I can't believe they did that Jazz repaint for an Animated figure over a BB-repaint Waspinator. Big missed opportunity on that one.

No reason why Animated couldn't be included in Generations, given that Universe included G1, G2, RiD, Armada and, yes, Animated.Lord Onixprime wrote:Diem wrote:Yeah, that's a strange choice. Well, except Animated ended 2 years ago (Such a sad realization)and Generations is still continuing.

Except, if they had any intentions of doing so, they've had 2 years to have done it. Especially given that the further away Animated gets, the less relevant those figures would become.
By now, I think the club is really the only outlet to expand upon Animated. I think Hasbro threw it away a long time ago.

Well Universe Cheetor and Dinobot came out many years after BW ended and Hot Shot a long time after Armada. Maybe if you give it a few years the kids who enjoyed Animated will join the adult fandom with the rest of us and the nostalgia lines will cater to them too.

Except for "G2" Prime, but if they're not gonna put the proper logo on him he doesn't count.Lord Onixprime wrote:Diem wrote:Well Universe Cheetor and Dinobot came out many years after BW ended and Hot Shot a long time after Armada. Yeah, but we've not seen anything from any other line except G1 as homages since 2009 (When those 3 were released). Hasbro's been cranking out the Neo G1 figures in droves, even thought they said Generations was going to be an all encompassing line that would span several eras of transformers.
Not that I don't enjoy the Neo G1 figures, but they dropped the ball on diversity.

I'm very much in favor of this. I think it's ideal. The question of pricing is a serious concern on my end though. It could possibly be a train wreck if the prices are the same as the boxed exclusives we already get.

A reliable source tells me they're only poly-bagged so hopefully the fancy-box-budget can go towards dropping the prices on these guys.
