While I prefer Blast Off as a shuttle myself, I feel I must interject, and point out that NASA is a civilian branch of the government. Yes, many of their pilots may come from the military, making things a bit murky there. But NASA itself is a civilian organization.

Idk Bruticus just appeals to me more than Defensor, but that's probably because I think Combat vehicles are more appealing and badass than emergency vehicles. OMG THAT'S HILARIOUS! XD
But what does this have to do with Combiner Wars?

This is serious business yo.

Well, Vortex is just a repaint, but one I think we were all expecting and so I'm not bothered by it.
And Blast Off is also just a repaint, and frankly a (in my opinion) rather lazy one at that.
But the other three? Yes! I mean, I figured Onslaught would be a bit remolded to give him different heads and replace the ladder with the artillery cannons. But Hasbro went above and beyond here. And Swindle is hardly recognizable as Rook. And an all new mold for Brawl? Awesome looking Brawl!
So yeah, disappointed in Blast Off. But overall, a great looking team and gestalt!Thadicon wrote:Did anyone else notice that Onslaught's alt mode is backwards to Hotspot's
Yeah, that was noticed pretty quickly. Don't let that dampen your enthusiasm, though! It was a great design choice!

Or is that what they want us to believe? dun, Dun, DUN!

Since your on about space shuttles....what do you think of the new Sky Lynx then?

I only don't like him as a space shuttle because it never made sense to me amongst all the vehicles picked as alt modes. I mean, an AA truck? Tough as nails, long range cannons, armored. Army jeep/hummer? Rugged, armored, almost immortal (if it's a jeep), durable, fast. Combat helicopter? Fast, loaded with weapons, armored, maneuverable. Tank? It's a tank, it's inherently badass and freaking invincible. Space Shuttle? Extremely delicate controls, runs risk of not working, NOT built for combat, doesn't carry weapons, fast in a straight line, not very tough against unnatural factors.
I don't know, and I'm not trying to start a argument, I'm just saying that a space shuttle amongst the other vehicles that the Combaticons have chosen doesn't make much sense. I mean you got long range combat (Onslaught), durable and fast scout (Swindle), unstoppable armored cannon (Brawl), fast and agile killing machine (Vortex), and high altitude/space vehicle which in real life could not likely be used in a violent situation (Blast Off). Having him as jet frankly makes this set perfect in my opinion.

Ah. "What do you think of the new Sky Lynx?" is a rather vague question to ask if you had such a specific inquiry in mind. As for an answer, I don't think anyone can say yet, beyond sometime in 2016 for the U.S., and, sadly, "Who the heck knows?" for Europe.
