Yep, Arms Micron Smokescreen was a repaint of Arms Micron Knock Out with a new head sculpt. Since you're such a devoted Bluestreak fan, I'll give you a treat, Lobotron. Check out my custom painted and stickered Transformers Adventure Bloody Knock Out as "Aligned" Bluestreak! I think he works quite well, if I do say so myself.

BBTS actually sells them for the most online (in the primary market) so I would see them as a final resort for all things TAV. They should realy step up their game in terms of prices, no wonder they still have so much stock.

I didn't head swap. All I did was paint the entire helmet, except for the red crest on his forehead, with a silver Sharpie. I also dismantled the head to get at the light piping pieces and take the red paint off the eyes. Soaking them in isopropyl alcohol did the trick. I haven't repainted them yet, but the clear smoky plastic color works for now. The Autobot logo on the chest is from the Ocean, Inc. officially licensed stickers that came out in the past year or so. You have to cut them out of the sheet yourself, unfortunately. You can see a bit of clear plastic around the white outline of the insignia that resulted from a not so great cutting job on my part (I got better with practice). Since Takara already used the mold as one of the Datsun brothers, I figure it's fair game to do so again. I don't mind using Knock Out's head either, as all three Datsuns had different heads in the G1 cartoon. And yes, that is indeed the pop-up Ark from the SDCC 2014 Dinobot set.

Should I be more Interested in them - perhaps, but am I; nope.
I'd rather buy 3rd party or other Hasbro/Takara toys before them so they keep being put on the back burner - the only real reason is I found them to time consuming to Transform and I like to play with my toys.
Though 3rd party toys suffer the same issue I like the look of a lot of them and the things they do. Perhaps I just don't have a great emotional attachment to early G1.
But for whatever reason I tend to gravitate towards "Classic" themed Official toys and Masters & Combiner related 3rd party over Masterpiece toys at this point. I suspect as I know the'd just sit on a shelf and not do anything. It might have something to do with the fact that the ones I do have are some of the less good ones like MP-03-Green, I'm horribly lazy as I really don't have a good reason to at least by the KO's, but I'm more likely to play at gap filling with Alternators and Binaltech and Alternity, United, & Animated it seems so they just keep getting put lower and lower down the list.

Leader Magnus costs 55$ while MP Magnus costs 200$. The ONLY MP similar in price is the seeker mold but that is just because of the recent Hasbro price at TRU for Starscream. How much was Skywarp last year? 200$? Yeah, a far cry from whatever Leader Skywarp will cost.
And plus, both those seekers (Leader CW and MP) are different styles. MP is G1 while CW is modern comics. Different styles for different purposes.

I understand why the MP's are great for someone looking for a representation of the characters - especially if you don't play with them much - but to me they don't suit me as well. Not that I dislike them they just go on the back burner is all.

Dude, trust me, it's totally chill to not want the masterpiece line due to the G1 aesthetic. I'm not a big fan of it myself, so I never bothered. The only one's I would've gone in on would've been the soundwave/cassette pack and acidstorm.
I much preferred the classics/universe updated aesthetic, and started shying away when the line became too G1 for me.

Well that skywarp was a very limited release, not sure why, but he was (cuz time hasn't shown that we want skywarp more than his brethren or something
And to be fair, at my TRU you can basically get a cw leader for the near the same price as a mp datsun bro, so he has the approximation of a point.

Naw, it's cool, I use bbts, but they have some lower-priced things than tfsource and vice versa, so it all equals out, if you're willing to research.
I do appreciate the link, and do realize that there is a host of places cheaper than bbts (tfsource exclusively selling tf merchandise, has to mark there products down, bbts doesn't necessarily have to)

No he doesnt and you confirm it yourself in your reply. A CW Leader is much bigger than a Datsun which is voyager size. You are comparing 2 different size classes. Thats like saying, well MP Bumblebee G2 is the same price as Leader Megs on BBTS so why dont we all get it instead. You have to be fair here. The only fair comparison is Leader Starscream and MP Starscream because they are the same scale. BUT for the MP option to work, you would need to be able to buy ALL seekers at the same price, which is not the case.

Why isnt it fair, you mention BBTS all the time. I understand preferring to find an item in store since that is also where we might get an extra discount (though there are cases where you can get heavily discounted online products like Fortress Maximus and never get a deal on a local toy like CW Leader Megs). BUT the initial argument was that all other toys are useless since the MP one is available at the same price. It was written as a blanket statement and it is just plain wrong on multiple levels. MPs in general are a niche product which is sometimes online only for the states (which TRU was going to do with Bluestreak) so taking online out of the argument doesnt make any sense.

Ironhide is one of my favorites out of this set. Sure he's a redeco/retool, but he's a really awesome redeco/retool. I love the colors used and the nods to G1 Ironhide. Some people may scoff at buying a retool/redeco, but in this case it's worth it. Recommended!
And while it doesnt scream ironhide, that is an awesome headsculpt in its own right:

No worries, just glad we are all on the same page. But you know, I do have major issues with the MP seeker and I dont know if I am alone. That may give you "more toy" but I find the Leader more fun to play with and transform and I think both modes look incredible. I will discuss more in he MP Ironhide thread since I think people are starting to get double standards for MPs.
