Considering cyclonus' role in the comics, he works with autobot limbs. I can see why you're disappointed but He is definitely a great character and one I am very proud to own
I love him, but I don't read the comics, and never thought mixing the factions was a good idea; there are some lines that aren't to be crossed

They are actually very good, I think you'd enjoy them. and in the comics at least, cyclonus has never wore a badge, so technically it's not cross badging.....

They are very out of proportion with the limbs and torsos. The feet also tend to fall in half a lot; and the hands are nastily skeletal. They aren't even good as weapons from the look of it. They pointlessly shoved in a bunch of gimmicks and nothing ended up working.
If you're on the fence watch benscollectables, or some other reviewer to find out fo ryourself. If you want it for defensor, get it, or try to find a cheaper one; otherwise check out nonnef for good hands/feet/ratchets.

I probably would like them, but don't have the money or stores to buy them; and I'm not sure I would care enough to grind through all of them if I found them online

Thanks HS. I'm not sure yet, but given the proportions and the fact that I really like the regular hand/foot things, I think I'll pass. Thanks!![]()

I've been buying them by the volumes. 1 volumes collects 5 or 6 issues and is only $12-15 on amazon and occasionally cheaper on ebay, including shipping (many times free). both major ongoings right now are superb, so I think you could get into them, and you can do so slowly if need be.
The reason I got into them: Deluxe trailcutter. Favorite transformer of all time, and he had a comic, and I fell in love

Burn wrote:So don't lose them. (I never did)
Like you said, the feet/hands are ugly when used on the individual modes. Don't get me wrong, I think it's good Hasbro have made the feet/hands work with the individual modes, I just don't think they look good are even necessary.
If anything, they were designed to look good in combined mode, the individual modes were just an after thought. (Mine will be staying combined anyway, except for the outcasts)

(Original) RiD Optimus Prime.

To be completely fair, all that core Prime had to do for his combining was spread his shoulders and raise his torso over his head. But yes, his extra parts were well-taken care of. Except his damn pistol. I've lost that thing and then found it and then lost it again several times. I think I've lost it for good this time.
As for integrated combiner parts on scramble combiners, we tried that with FOC Bruticus. The result was kind of terrible. I kind of prefer the hands and feet be separate on the real toys, even if they spawn out of nowhere in fiction. As long as they have somewhere to go and look plausible in other modes, it's good. This works especially well with the Aerialbots, since real jets are known to have underslung missiles. For the cars, I admit it's much more obnoxious, but kids don't care, and adults can put them to the side.
