Thank you good sir. thanks for sharing. I remember you talking about this. I also remember agreeing with you after having the same thought. Did you do a head swap? The paint looks outstanding. Quick story. I just received a box from a buddy who went to Tokyo. I gave him a list and Bloody KO was on it. He did not make it into my friends shopping cart.I will now explore other means of acquisition.

He's cheaper here plus with some free shipping.

BBTS actually sells them for the most online (in the primary market) so I would see them as a final resort for all things TAV. They should realy step up their game in terms of prices, no wonder they still have so much stock.

If I have any complaints, it's the materials used on the yellow of Sunstreaker.....kind of meh blah dirty yellow. Kind of a slap on the egotist's facade if you ask me.
Are you sure it wasn't painted on? That's what yielded that 'fake' look of breakdowns combiner hand. And if you think that's bad, my streetwise's legs and arms are a mix of white and cream in random parts

Just offering; and Runabout (has anyone gotten thiers yet?) is actually cheaper through them than tfscource (not sure what that means, but...)
And has anyone noticed how many cw megatrons are lingering around online (hts...)

RAR wrote:Generations toys are often a different scale to Masterpiece (more or less depending on what you think of Combiner Wars Megatron). The reason I prioritise the Modern standard type toys over MP is that MP though now a substantial line is less products per year so there is less to focus on. and the "Generations" toys are more in keeping with the established product sizes of the last couple of decades.
I understand why the MP's are great for someone looking for a representation of the characters - especially if you don't play with them much - but to me they don't suit me as well. Not that I dislike them they just go on the back burner is all.

WHAT?! Dude, what are you smoking.
Leader Magnus costs 55$ while MP Magnus costs 200$. The ONLY MP similar in price is the seeker mold but that is just because of the recent Hasbro price at TRU for Starscream. How much was Skywarp last year? 200$? Yeah, a far cry from whatever Leader Skywarp will cost.
And plus, both those seekers (Leader CW and MP) are different styles. MP is G1 while CW is modern comics. Different styles for different purposes.

My apologies, I didnt mean to talk down on your post, I welcome your help. I just wanted to give cobotron and you a cheaper link if you were interested. And wow, you are right TFSource is pricier. Guess I was wrong.

And to be fair, at my TRU you can basically get a cw leader for the near the same price as a mp datsun bro, so he has the approximation of a point.

No he doesnt and you confirm it yourself in your reply. A CW Leader is much bigger than a Datsun which is voyager size. You are comparing 2 different size classes. Thats like saying, well MP Bumblebee G2 is the same price as Leader Megs on BBTS so why dont we all get it instead. You have to be fair here. The only fair comparison is Leader Starscream and MP Starscream because they are the same scale. BUT for the MP option to work, you would need to be able to buy ALL seekers at the same price, which is not the case.

That's not fair, I can only buy what hasbro decides to release, if we're not talking online shopping![]()
I want a MP skyawrp
Ironhide is one of my favorites out of this set. Sure he's a redeco/retool, but he's a really awesome redeco/retool. I love the colors used and the nods to G1 Ironhide. Some people may scoff at buying a retool/redeco, but in this case it's worth it. Recommended!
william-james88 wrote:BUT the initial argument was that all other toys are useless since the MP one is available at the same price. It was written as a blanket statement and it is just plain wrong on multiple levels. MPs in general are a niche product which is sometimes online only for the states (which TRU was going to do with Bluestreak) so taking online out of the argument doesnt make any sense.

Oh, yeah, that, that's total bs; thought he was talking about which was better value for money at TRU
