Really got my money's worth on that one.

An online store I have been buying ( A LOT) of CW stuff from has Legends Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos and I have been considering getting them. I only found them because I was looking for Legends Starscream (Which I still have not found) to go with my CW Legends Thundercracker and Skywarp.

I had the exact same reservations based on Windcharger.

Well at the rate they're cranking 'em out, you could have the entire series in legends scale :-P

Seriously we have:

Megs
O/p
Starscream
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Acidstorm
Shockwave
Warpath
Cliffjumper
'Bee
Gears
Tailgate
Windcharger
Shrapnel
Chopshop
Bombshell
Cosmos
Huffer
Pipes
Powerglide
Hot Rodimus
Swerve

I think we get bogged down in the lackluster repaints of Pipes and Warpath to realize this fact, but a couple more waves of legends releases and we could have most of the first year/two years worth of figures

You know, you're right. I never realised that we had that many legends. ..and sadly I own none of them so far :-( I love them from what I seen, just like I loved the legion class (and the occasional commander like BH hardshell and BH Trailbreaker), I mean I'm trying to get all the uses of the Terrorcon molds to build an army of abominus's :-P

In a way this is quite cool to scale with the combiners, making them look really threatening.

As for scale, again that seems to be another personal preference thing (I mean look at Rated X, he goes for bot mode scale and g1 accuracy as collecting guides) As fans we should be grateful that both hasbro and takara are there to try and satisfy all the needs as they can with their different business strategies :-)

NO, not to me; scale means nothing to the whole transformers franchise.

What  you own none of the Legends Class!

well i've got Bombshell, Powerglide, Rodimus, Skywarp & Optimus(same mold as Huffer & Pipes) although could never find Gears(even though Smyths had him on their website! but when i went there...he was never in store) coz his robot mode was so g1 accurate, i could never find Cosmos either!(but i don't think it ever appeared in physical stores here in the UK? or at least it didn't...here in Scotland) also hoping to get Chop Shop & Shockwave(whenever they appear in physical stores in the UK).

oh btw i've also got BH Hardshell, although pity that they never did a bigger scale figure! seeing as they(Insecticons) were so large on the show.(& there's a scale issue right there! so huge on the show....but such a small figure toywise)

Wait a second, allow me to attempt to defuse:

You said it was funny that Swindle was the beefiest limb on Bruticus. I agreed, pointed out some other funny scale issues then pointed to some occasions when Hasbro seems to have made a special effort to address scale.

When I said 'To You' I did not mean to in any way imply that a franchise that features giant robots turning into normal sized stereos and the like, which is based around an 80's cartoon that played it fast and loose with scale (among other things) was completely to scale and consistent, I meant that 'To Me' when I buy a toy that is even roughly in scale with another toy I buy it makes me like...2% happier than i otherwise would be :-P Seriously that's it.

Now, would you guys recommend Legends Class Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos? I was on the fence, especially about Tailgate but Mr. Skram seems to like him.

I have Windcharger already and he is easily my least favorite of my CW legends which is what had been giving me pause.

Cosmos is amazing, swerve is ok but tailgate is to be avoided, in my opinion. I paid 5$ for it and I still think it was too much for that pos.

I was hoping Cosmos was good.

I'm still looking for Legends Starscream to complete my trio of Legends Seekers (Because oh soooo much cheaper than collecting the 3 Leader Class Seekers :-P )

Yup, if hasbro ever wondered why they don't get any tf sales through brick'n'mortar stores, this is it

However, this is also the typical seasonal glut between Christmas and Easter. It's been happening every year at least since I was a kid. Target got in some new products for other toy lines (such as Disney Princess, Shopkins, Rescue Bots, etc) right after Christmas, which was probably meant to arrive in time for Christmas, but either way most of that product has already sold from the stores near me. TRU is your best bet at this time of the year. However, a lot of 1st quarter Transformers merchandise is enroute to retailers currently. I've received most of the new Rescue Bots products for my store, as well as Robots In Disguise and have new Combiner Wars product enroute as well.

Nah it was like this for my area for the last 8 months, I never saw waves 1-3 of cw at most of the stores near me >:oP

I have to agree. In my area, Wal-Mart has been on a Transformer drought since summer. Meijer and Target have each been getting trickles in, but Wal-Mart flat out dried up. Rescue bots are the only part of transformers to receive any new stock since at least August. With my job I'm in these stores almost every day, five days a week, so I keep a close eye on the toys shelves, simply out of habit at this point.

From talking with a couple of managers I know, some of it has to do with the absolute abysmal sales they had with the AoE and Beast Hunter lines. Hell, 2 if my Wal-Mart's still have AiR items on clearance shelves. Other than that, all you can find is RiD first wave stuff.

In the interest of being honest, my most local Wal-Mart did restock combiner wars figures last night....... With wave one voyages. :BANG_HEAD:

There is no cw voyagers near me :-( had a look at my local symths and found that their only cw product was magnus and a solitary prowl. To be fair it's been over three months since I last saw any cw voyagers locally.

well i've been fairly lucky.....coz we've had Wave 1, 2 & 4 near me, as well as Leader Megatron & Magnus(granted i've had to travel further to Glasgow to get some of those)

the only downside is that Leader Skywarp, Thundercracker & Starscream haven't emerged here in Scotland.

but since a Smyths Toys store has opened up near me closer to home...& my latest acquisition from there was Battle Core Prime...then things are slightly looking up! & the fact that just recently on the Smyths Toys website they now have Onslaught, Scattershot & Vortex...so i can always acquire those when they arrive in store :-D

Since the Combiner Wars gestalts are roughly the same size as G1 Predaking, and there no indication that there will be a Combiner Wars Predaking, I am tempted to pick up Sky Lynx and attaching Ironhide and Trailbreaker as legs and Wheeljack and Sunstreaker as arms (I like symmetry) and I'd have to buy a G1 Predaking.

Alright, these are awesome, and great colors too! Beautiful! (do you think you could attach the limbs onto him with Sky Lynx in that fan mode Lynx mode and see what it looks like for all 4 to be legs? Like a 4-legged combiner please?)
Also: Legends are so much fun. Tailgate is good, Swerve is my guy, and cosmos is the best Cosmos we have ever gotten and he is adorable. :BOT:

I can definitely see the issue with Tailgate and Windcharger but Tailgate's colors really do it for me, and the fact he's a pretty darn good representation of his IDW self. Cosmos and Swerve are a slam dunk though. I wouldn't pass them up if you're even remotely interested.

You brought me around on Tailgate, he is a decent representation of his appearance in the comics and the colors seems nice enough. Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos will be in my next order from this e-tailer I have been buying from (They will be able to retire on all the money I have been spending on TFs :-P )

We've had Combaticons on the shelves in TRU here for a month or so but still haven't seen Onslaught anywhere.

The 3 TRUs nearest to me all have plenty of Armada Megatrons warming shelves. I've been waiting to see if they drop the price, I already have regular Leader Megatron and don't wanna pay anywhere near full price for the Armada version.

Bonus if you happen to have BCOP, Tailgate makes a nice looking chest piece for the combiner if you can fiddle with him enough. Not super stable(but probably more so than the Blackjack/Rodimus molds) but it's quite striking if you pull it off.

Motto: ""i hate to love....& love to hate!""
i did & it's just the same! maybe it's coz i'm on Android? although everything else is coming out ok

so it seems to be just that one pic & this banner that's not rendering properly(mind you.. that only seems to just be happening with D-Maximus's posts! that banner on other posts are fine).
