Mr Skram wrote:I adore Legends class figs. Swerve has been my fav for awhile, but lately I've take a shine to Tailgate. And to think I thought I wasn't going to like him because I wasn't overly fond of Windcharger. It was an after thought add-on item on an amazon order for just a few bucks. Really got my money's worth on that one.

Well at the rate they're cranking 'em out, you could have the entire series in legends scale![]()
Seriously we have:
Megs
O/p
Starscream
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Acidstorm
Shockwave
Warpath
Cliffjumper
'Bee
Gears
Tailgate
Windcharger
Shrapnel
Chopshop
Bombshell
Cosmos
Huffer
Pipes
Powerglide
Hot Rodimus
Swerve
I think we get bogged down in the lackluster repaints of Pipes and Warpath to realize this fact, but a couple more waves of legends releases and we could have most of the first year/two years worth of figures

Scale means nothing (To you).

You know, you're right. I never realised that we had that many legends. ..and sadly I own none of them so farI love them from what I seen, just like I loved the legion class (and the occasional commander like BH hardshell and BH Trailbreaker), I mean I'm trying to get all the uses of the Terrorcon molds to build an army of abominus's

In a way this is quite cool to scale with the combiners, making them look really threatening.
As for scale, again that seems to be another personal preference thing (I mean look at Rated X, he goes for bot mode scale and g1 accuracy as collecting guides) As fans we should be grateful that both hasbro and takara are there to try and satisfy all the needs as they can with their different business strategies

NO, not to me; scale means nothing to the whole transformers franchise.
Look at bruticus, since when is a tank the same size as a dune buggy?

Now, would you guys recommend Legends Class Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos? I was on the fence, especially about Tailgate but Mr. Skram seems to like him.
william-james88 wrote:Cosmos is amazing, swerve is ok but tailgate is to be avoided, in my opinion. I paid 5$ for it and I still think it was too much for that pos.

Yup, if hasbro ever wondered why they don't get any tf sales through brick'n'mortar stores, this is it
However, this is also the typical seasonal glut between Christmas and Easter. It's been happening every year at least since I was a kid. Target got in some new products for other toy lines (such as Disney Princess, Shopkins, Rescue Bots, etc) right after Christmas, which was probably meant to arrive in time for Christmas, but either way most of that product has already sold from the stores near me. TRU is your best bet at this time of the year. However, a lot of 1st quarter Transformers merchandise is enroute to retailers currently. I've received most of the new Rescue Bots products for my store, as well as Robots In Disguise and have new Combiner Wars product enroute as well.
Nah it was like this for my area for the last 8 months, I never saw waves 1-3 of cw at most of the stores near me
I have to agree. In my area, Wal-Mart has been on a Transformer drought since summer. Meijer and Target have each been getting trickles in, but Wal-Mart flat out dried up. Rescue bots are the only part of transformers to receive any new stock since at least August. With my job I'm in these stores almost every day, five days a week, so I keep a close eye on the toys shelves, simply out of habit at this point.
From talking with a couple of managers I know, some of it has to do with the absolute abysmal sales they had with the AoE and Beast Hunter lines. Hell, 2 if my Wal-Mart's still have AiR items on clearance shelves. Other than that, all you can find is RiD first wave stuff.

In the interest of being honest, my most local Wal-Mart did restock combiner wars figures last night....... With wave one voyagers.
The Platinum reissue from a few years back is still readily available at a decent price, and the deco is really nice.Rodimus Prime wrote:I'd have to buy a G1 Predaking.

Mr Skram wrote:I can definitely see the issue with Tailgate and Windcharger but Tailgate's colors really do it for me, and the fact he's a pretty darn good representation of his IDW self. Cosmos and Swerve are a slam dunk though. I wouldn't pass them up if you're even remotely interested.
Shockwave7 wrote:They just stocked some CW combaticon deluxes at my local Walmart. Nice. Still no voyagers though. They have 2 armada leader megatron figures that have been there like almost a year...
Tyberion wrote:You brought me around on Tailgate, he is a decent representation of his appearance in the comics and the colors seems nice enough. Tailgate, Swerve and Cosmos will be in my next order from this e-tailer I have been buying from (They will be able to retire on all the money I have been spending on TFs)
