To be honest, the real reasons are budget and space limitations. I can't buy everything, I cant display everything, so I must buy only what really, REALLY interest me.

I bought a town house ... and it's still not enough. So that, combined with lack of money, has me scaling back on what I buy.

But stuff like this? I get rid of the old stuff ... like movie figures. I find the room. I find the money.

btw, your sig is too big. I could fix it for you but you wouldn't like my fix. One day I'll get you to read the guidelines.

I imagine they'd have added chaingun accessories (one each with a 5mm peg and one each with a 5mm hole) to connect to their sides in motorcycle mode and somehow to their arms as pile-drivers in robot mode.

Also, I wonder if Groove is primarily intended to be a gun, not a chest-plate, for Defensor.

It looks like it should be relatively simple for some generous soul on Shapeways to make elbows for those lacking them. Scrapper just seems to use mushroom pegs after all.

They could've made his arms collapse so the elbows were out of the way for leg mode. After seeing Scrapper and Long Haul I'm passing on these. TFC Herc is my Devastator and these would've primarily been in bot mode and I cannot accept Voyager size figures with no elbows.

Yeah, but considering the leaps we've had in toy engineering in the Generations line, I think they still could've done a LOT better. Sorry, but if I could I'd still buy all those 3d Party Dev's over this guy, simply for the elbows and design.

The Combiner Wars Defensor is awesome. I haven't seen really good combiners in a long time. It makes the original Defensor Look lame. I can't wait to get one and one of Superion. A few years ago Power Combiners hit the market. They are not even close to the style and quality of Combiner wars. I really want to see if Hasbro comes up with a Computron.

I still reckon cost and stability. With ^normal arms" I can easily see Scrapper do as well as anybody doing a handstand while supporting 1,000 lbs. on his legs.

I would accept "cost" or "stability" reasons for lack of elbows way, way before I would ever accept a "they didn't have time to figure out how to do it the right way" type of excuse.

As I've said - it's a bummer that that's the way it has to be, but it does look like they designed these CW Constructions with Devastator in mind. And he is 18 inches tall, mind you.
