Ah, here is the image that was referenced earlier showing us the Optimus Combiner for the first time. To be honest, it doesn't really help make anything more obvious in terms of toy molds being used.

Don't worry, OG Soundwave lives on in the MP line. That's a damn near perfect representation of SW. But then again, I'll take SW in any configuration and be happy.

That's what I keep saying. I dont see what the appeal of him using this mold is (aside from the Soundwave Superior Combiner name).

Now that I've had a few minutes to process. Isn't there a rumor of a beast combiner? And if the combaticons get a tank mold (or that rumored deluxe groove (depending on which version of those lil guys you like)) this isn't too far from possible.

It would be cool to have a set of vehicles based on Recordicons, it's just a question of what would work based on the existing limbs. Bonus points if a 3rd party makes an ultra prime trailer, and colors one for Soundwave the team can "eject" from.
I could see them doing...
Ravage - Dragstrip (colored like Beast Wars Ravage)
Rumble/Frenzy - Rook/Offroad
LaserBeak - Skydive with a bird shaped head
Bonus:
Ratbat - AlphaBravo (just cause i think that mold could look good in his colors)

It's ok we all have learned to find the good in you Billy. Not sure about the Motorbike, but if there were beast bots there might be a cat and a bird, i.e. Ravage, Laserbeak. Tanks would be akin to those club Rumble/Frenzy.
