1. Was the Masquerade ever confirmed officially? Because from what I remember, it was just a fan stating this when the listing was leaked and then it just kept getting a confirmation bias when everyone was using that name in the news posts across TF fan sites. But I dont think this was ever more than just a fan name/idea. If anyone actually has a source that this is the actual theme, please send the link. Because or else, this calling it the "masquerade Combiner" is the same as saying there are alligators in the sewers.
2. This point is the more important one. I just got Blackjack today and the first thing I thought of was, "what are they waiting for making this a Runabout and Runamuck redeco". Takara is already doing a Runabout deco. And now looking at that message using these molds for bringing back old TFs, I was wondering about the Throttlebots. If Blackjack was used to make the Battlechargers and some throttlebots would we fans call that lazy? Or would we like it?
I would love to see RiD Ruination (and all its variants) out of the CW Combaticons.[/quote]Rodimus Prime wrote:

I'm still waiting for a MTMTE styled voyager class Rodimus personally.
You can always get the one that came out earlier this year (or late last year), it's pretty close to his robot mode on MTMTE:
Yeah, idk he looks okay but I can't see him as anything but a red Springer.

I personally like buying in person much better too. Feels nice to look at it, say "you're coming with me!" buy, walk out, go home and be a kid for a few hours playing around with him.
OK, all caught up. Sorry to post like 5 or 6 times in a row

I never heard a masquerade officially announced, just speculation, and when we got the walmart listings, everyone was trying to fudge the characters into the masquerade model, so yeah...
As for Blackjack, it would only be lazy if some slight retooling isn't done IMO

I agree, I love that feeling. Felt it the other way with Blackjack, it was great!

I think rather than the go home be a kid, it's the minute you see it in the store and pick it up that kid feeling pops out. It's one thing to look in the aisle, but as soon as you see it that child-like feeling pops out when you hold it in your hand. Just isn't the same when you look at it on the screen. Major nostalgia.

Yes yes yes! Or in some cases, walk in, see something and spend an eternity wondering if you should give in to the temptation of buying a plastic robot. So you trail through the pegs, pick up boxes, packaging, read things you don't actually care about, try remembering what others have said about it, compare different versions of it to find 'the best one', put it back, pick it up again..
..I need to go to a toy shop, brb.
Don't forget some of the looks we get (or at least I do) for being an ecstatic adult without children in a toy store.carytheone wrote:Va'al wrote:Yes yes yes! Yes this exactly. It's a complete emotional roller coaster ride on the toy aisle. I do love the hunt!

I decided to own it. Now the staff is more comfortable with me as a lone adult looking at TFs. One of the guys there even knows me and is happy to tell me when new ones have arrived.

All this!
Funny enough, I found Blackjack in store too! and the wave 1 limbs and Megs. And let me tell you: So much fun looking at them. pondering, deciding, finally buying them. And then the cashier lady looks at you funny and ponders life itself...![]()

The best hunters learn to adapt to changes in the prey population. The toys we want are now scarce in their historical habitats. We need to migrate with them if we want our hobby to survive. Online stores are the new toy hunting grounds. Instead of struggling to find the figures you want, hunt for the best prices and deals you can find online.
