Frenzy didnt really have much of a head in the first place. His head might have been about as tall and as wide as a normal persons head but it was almost an inch or two thick.
Not really all that much "mass shifting" when you think about it.

glazer wrote:and what about the cube in the end- if the cube can do it -(mass shift)and this is where they were born from then ?
The Cube was a representation of a Transformer God....useing your analogy then we can say that if Jesus could bring Lazarus back to life then any character in the Bible could do the same.
glazer wrote: well i just thought i'd throw that out there-
Not to sound rude but its been thrown out there a million times before with the same result.
You cant com pair the Cube's powers to that of one of its children.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
This going to be quick and dirty so I will not be providing evidence to back up my assertions. During the months leading up to the release of Transformers, some people involved with the production noted that Optimus Prime was a very expensive character. In fact, fans were told it was Optimus' cost that limited the bot's screen time. For this reason, I doubt Optimus' design will change much for the upcoming movie.
Movies are a business. Businesses want to make as much money as possible. Throwing out and then redesigning the most expensive special effect is not a good business decision. Sequels almost always make more profit that the original feature because the production costs are less. Sets are built, costumes are designed, and special effects are coded. Top that off with the cost to redesign Optimus is probably greater than the potential profits associated with a new toy.
Furthermore, throw in the writer's strike, and there is likely not enough time to redesign existing characters while creating new characters. The new characters will be a primary driving force behind the sequel's toys. As others have pointed out, Hasbro can release new versions of the existing characters. The Optimus figure is a good toy, but is is far from movie accurate. Hasbro could easily design a new Optimus toy that more accurately reflects to movie depiction.
IF Optimus does receive any redesign work, I bet it comes in the form of a trailer. I do not support this idea, but I would not put it past Bay to have Optimus' trailer be a separate character--such as Ultra Magnus. I do not know why, but I see Bay making a move akin to Robots in Desguise where Optimus and Magnus combine to form a super bot.
My bet is Optimus will be redesigned/reformatted in the third movie. I imagine it will coincide with his death and resurrection.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
Another problem with having a trailer is the additional weight and logistics of hauling it around, I can only imagine how difficult it was to maneuver that semi cab through the alley scene towards the end of the movie where he comes out on to the street and transforms to jump and grab onto megatron as he flies by, even with a stunt or professional driver that was no easy task I'm sure, with a trailer that scene would have been impossible and he would have to of ditched it somewhere else and then we'd have ten billion posts of "What happened to Primes trailer" by now to deal with.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
@ glazer : yeap, those are just fan art as u suspected. i went over to tfclub's page and the artist was simply comparing his new tf art (presumably those pictures) and his old art, and basically doing alot of reminiscing, lol.
as for new prime.. maybe they WON'T have a new prime look. and then early on starscream faces off with prime, and kills him.. with his dying breath prime gives the matrix to ironhide (most probable in this movie) and then megatron is resurrected from the sea to become galvatron
problem solved! new ironhide-prime figure, and redesigned megatron as galvatron

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
There should be NO NEW LOOK or changes for any Transformer we have all ready seen. Invest the newness in the new Transformers that we have not seen yet. They stated they didn't have enough money to give the Transformers enough screen time. Now we want to waste money giving something many of us finally got used to changes?? Not a good idea. Stay consistent! Please. The way Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee & Ratchet look in TF1 is how they should look in TF2 and TF3. Starscream and Blackout shouldn't change either. They don't need to change the Transformers in the movie to make changes on the toys and product. When it comes to toys....hey you can let your imagination run wild. When it comes to a movie...it is better to stay consistent.
The foundation is there people. Lets not build crap on it.

So let me get this right?? When TF2 comes out you want Prime to have changes so YOU can buy a new Prime toy??
Please confirm that is what you are stating?

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
Because Hasbro obviously won't redesign or give the most recognizable character in Transformers a new look or paintjob so they can make bank on the toy sales.
Yes seeing new bots would be nice, and we will, because the TF movie is a giant toy commercial, so we'll see a load of new toys.
But we'll also most likely see numerous more repaints of Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, Barricade, Starscream etc.
Why? Because it'll give people the chance to get the figures from the first movie all over again.
Movie 1 paintjob figures, then the repaints of them, then the 2nd Movie look for the figures.
And the fans will eat them up and buy one or more of each.

Re: TRANSFORMERS II -PRIMES NEW LOOK
I prefer them to keep the same look, but you never know. Afterall the movie toyline was the best selling Transformer Toyline Hasbro ever had, and how do you top that? Redesign the Transformers in the second movie, having them "scan" new vehicles and then make toys to match the updated designs. Of course theres going to be a lot new characters and should Megatron be resurrected I doubt he'll have a completly new look. And the original movie toyline is far from perfect, they could just start from scratch and make the toys a lot more detailed and closer to the movie. And I"m not talking about the chrome painted "premium" series either

I liked Wheeljack and all of his retarded / wacky inventions but for the love of primus please no bloody "power master prime" in the movies! That's what it sounds like you're saying to me ?
He can come up with some interesting weapons or defenses sure but if I start seeing pieces fly on to the TF's then I'd be like, meh.

Don't worry Galvatron. Prime will not change. New transformers will be created for TF2.
I would'nt mind seeing Prime wearing a pink bow tie. That would be awesome.
