The original, if released today would be at Commander price at the very minimum. So the new one for the allocated budget is not that bad...
But then I just bought the Reprolabels set at 30$US and I plan to get a few upgrade kits to make it perfect. Thus, resulting in a nearly 200$CAN toy in total... All to make it comparable to the original.
And I do have the original.
Ah, the irony.

I'll answer two parts that I dislike about it, the arms and the legs.
The arms in alt mode do not seem cohesive to the vehicle, they are just an extra block and don't peg securely.
The legs are the same recycled legs I have seen so many timed before, getting really sick of them, they make the figure feel so cheap in terms of recycling previous elements, including now vestigial parts.

Thankfully for me, I never owned seige or earthrise optimus. That positively influences my opinion of the figure, I'm sure.

If you can find the Netflix Spoiler Pack Nemesis Prime at a reasonable price (meaning normal leade) go for it. It's freaking BAD-ASS and the Siege mold work wonder for Nemesis.

Agreed wholeheartedly, Cosmos is a great figure! As for the rest (omitting Commander and Titan classes), I would have to put Blitzwing near the top of the list. His robot mode is fantastic, and the only downside to me is the jet mode kibble, but it's not enough for me to dislike the figure overall.

According to a friend who studies military vehicles and such, the jet mode is accurate, even the kibble. (though it might not be accurate to the right thing.)

I was all for this at one time as well, but that time has passed. Three members of the team are out, and the first will be very hard to find soon. There has to be a reasonable time frame. Announcing a box set After an entire team has been released, or as the last member is coming out is a real jerk move. During CW, at least showed the silhouette of their UW sets early enough so people like me who wanted to pre order the imports could do so without purchasing the CW individual bots first.
During PotP, I waited until It was absolutely certain that TT wouldn't be doing box sets before I started purchasing.
Of course if you go the SS RotF Constructicon route, or TT Gen Selects route and release the set 2 or 3 years after the initial toys come out with some shiny new accessories and/or a new paint job for an astronomical price, that is a jerk move as well.
I've also heard rumblings/requests for Legacy Menasor to be repainted as G2. Please No! They tried this with CW, and they ended up on clearance for $39, and they didn't even get to finish with Defensor!

If that's the case, that would be unfortunate. However, weren't (most of) the movie Constructicons out already, before Studio Series 69 was announced?
Looks like I'll be swinging by Target tonight after work. Besides Inferno, Tarantulas is the only other Legacy figure I want. Amazon hasn't updated the preorder.william-james88 wrote:While the wave 2 deluxe class figures have been available at specialty retailers, like comic shops, in the Us for over a month, they never hit full on retail. Well, they have now. A few fans posted their sightings on this Facebook group. All sightings are from Targets but we have sightings in both Arizona and California. This wave includes Tarantulas, Elita-1, Wild Rider and Knockout.
If you have found them, share your sightings with our community in the sightings section and on our boards in your region related thread.

Thank you for confirming! I have Motormaster and Dragstrip already, and will continue picking up the individual characters as well when they are released. The price really isn't too concerning (although fairly high). To me, the box sets (not the TT black boxes) are beautifully done, with gorgeous artwork, and is what leads me to purchasing the sets.
