Great, haven't watched wrestling in years and now all I hear in the back of my head is Hogan and Macho with oooh yeahs and brother.

I think it would be cool if made the Classic Pretenders. They could do the original four as Titan Masters and come up with new ones for new Prime Master power ups. Just a small thing they could do at that small price point to add play value all around.

Although doing them all as PM power ups would be cool, too, like making Jazz a speaker in PM mode. I think I'd want two of those, although that would be a neat way to use Rumble and Frenzy, with both PM's becoming a speaker and the weapon for the decoy armor turning into a pile driver.

I think people would stock up on Starscream Titan Masters to build a seeker army. Just a few ideas to keep that lower price point open. This could also be another way to add Sweeps heads. Plus I love the decoy armors that work well as weapons.

Interestingly, while SG Rodimus's goatee was based on that of Mirror Universe Spock, his personality was based on John Travolta's character Vinnie Barbarino from Welcome Back, Kotter, albeit evil.

Also, while not SG Rodimus, another character Fun Pub had a hand in creating was indeed based on Randy Savage: Animated Motormaster. From his macho face to his grandiose personality, even right down to his name actually being not simply "Motormaster" but specifically "The Motor Master", which even he uses to refer to himself as in the third person.

I kind of remember the animated Motormaster thing, but had no idea about the Welcome Back, Kotter reference. Thanks for teaching me more new stuff today. Evil Spock, evil Vinnie, all evil, all the time heh.

One last reference to Macho Man and I'm done with this bit, but here it is!

If he didn't have the soul patch on his chin he would look just like Lemmy Kilmister.

SG Roddy looks so good! Hope I see him, the Prime Masters, Moonracer & Blackwing soon!

I like Elita with the Torchbearers, but I can't wait to add both Moonracer & Novastar.

My last thoughts before I go back to pinein for the potp figures (I want battletrap...no I need that battletrap!)

My idea would be that the Wrestlers would be titan masters and either paired up or given transectors, then they are allowed to Wrestle...now I've had a brilliant idea for a parody series...I must think on this.

Well, yeah that too. All because Hasbro hates us and hates fun I always hoped they would do like Chopshop (who came with that Gen. Megatron) and release a proper legends size version somehow. I understand the difficulty of selling it to some of the younger buyers though if you want full on. Look, those two turn into grips, and that one the lens! Kids love transformers who have limited play ability when not together, right? Maybe someday, maybe wave 4 of PotP...please...hah. I never knew as a kid my Mom had mailed it in for me, because, wasn't he a robot points thing? Hey, maybe that's what they could do, bring back the robot points and do a mail away.

I'm pretty sure that "some reason" was because the "camera" mode was really weak. REALLY weak.

There was no official camera mode. The Shockwave mold turned into a gun. The camera mode made by three Reflectors was a fanmode thought up on the side of the official configurations, and Fun Pub encouraged people to try to make their own takes on a camera mode rather than be restricted to just theirs.

Wow! Wave 2 Deluxes are some good stuff! Still combing through each one, but completing Volcanicus is a real treat.
Regardless how you feel about the Dinobots combining, it's hard to deny he makes for a really good, solid, and well articulated main line combiner.

I'm hoping my local Wal-Mart, or the one target near me carrying them, has the rest of the wave 2 bots I want. After that, the only wave 1 release I'm missing is the original Rodimus Prime.

Hey Cobs, how is Snarl as an arm? Or rather, which make better legs and which better arms... except for Swoop, he's pure arm material.

I really like the shape he makes as an arm. I'm having a problem keeping the legs tabbed together as a forearm. I got it to stay then it popped open at the top and gave up on figuring it out. It was getting late after opening all 5 Deluxes and I wanted to snap some shots and go to bed.
I haven't tried any other configs other than what you see, but I really like the way the dino heads and/or tails work as knee caps and shoulder decor. I'm excited to get in there and try some different positions. Slug Slag has been in both modes and looks great as either. Swoop is for sure best as an arm IMO also.

I know we're not getting more out of these two molds but after seeing the shared engineering and cross-toyline gimmickry of Combiners and Master-class figures part of me really wants to see the basic concept behind Battletrap executed on other figures. Flywheel is an obvious choice but multiforce would be nice.

Part of me just really want to see something worthwhile for Legends-scale class figures and have them join on the gimmick fun because, well, Hasbro seem to have been doing gimmicks right these last few years.

The Multiforce are long due for some new figures, and the new Battletrap shows it definitely possible.
