I'd want to swap the head out, preferably for the Titanmaster Cab mentioned above from the God Girnai giftset, but it would require some major modifications to make the Headmaster gimmick really work well in robot mode. I assume Lug/Cab can just hang out in the ladder bucket it vehicle mode.

That's... actually not a bad idea.

Doesnt seem is half-assing the whole POTP line?
* shortage of 'Limb-bots"
* Deluxes get a single weapon. ie, Dinos get a sword OR gun, etc...
* Despite numerous examples of what fans come to expect of our getalts (3rd party, Combiner Wars, etc...) we still get weak saue & incopleteness.
* only 4 waves?!

And, no, not in Power of the Primes, at least.
Frankly, I don't expect to see this mold used by Hasbro again anytime soon since the current brand team doesn't seem to really care for Beast Wars, and the only real reason that they made this figure at all was because the character won the fan poll.

Don't you think they would do some kind of redeco just to squeeze a few more bucks out of the mold? Seems like a waste from a business standpoint.

Well, Orion/Optimus isn't getting reused either.

You'd better believe there will be a "Nemesis Prime" repaint of PotP Optimus Prime at some point in the future, even if it's just a Takara Tomy exclusive figure. Japan can't say no to a black repaint of an Optimus Prime mold.

Nah, Rodimus Unicronus will fit that niche rather nicely.
Wolfman Jake wrote:Why have one when you can have both? Believe me, Takara won't disappoint. Also, I wouldn't put it past Hasbro to do one as an SDCC exclusive, if they again don't do a special edition of the year's Titan Class figure.

But this seems like hating a repaint for little reason
The first evil black Optimus redeco ever was BotCon 1996 Onyx Primal, while the first one to appear in fiction (as evil, since Onyx was rewritten as a Maximal when he finally appeared in fiction) was Copy Convoy from Beast Wars Second.ZeroWolf wrote:(if I'm right was the first nemesis prime scourge in car robots?)

Ooooooooh. A chromed out PotP Primal would be nice. Just like the original.Wolfman Jake wrote:Why have one when you can have both? Believe me, Takara won't disappoint. Who knows? It's been observed for a while now that there have been plenty of missed opportunities to black repaints that have been missed by Hasbro but still fully taken advantage of by Takara Tomy. There was a time when both companies were doing them in different ways, but now it's all TT. Either Warden doesn't like them or they're just content with us importing from TT. This is the same guy who's official stance on not celebrating Beast War's 20th anniversary was because TT was celebrating it and Hasbro didn't have to celebrate an anniversary on the anniversary (two years later they still haven't celebrated it). That was when we first realized Warden didn't like Beast Wars.
