I was fortunate enough to find those 2 at Walmart. I have yet to see Bludgeon, Bomb-Burst and Octopunch anywhere.

There's one Target near me that have had them for a few weeks, at least last I checked. It's the one in Burlington, NJ for anyone looking.

There's some class meta-humor about how optimal was totally just a spiffy backpack on a gorilla, that taking said backpack off leaves the gorilla totally unfazed, while the backpack becomes even spiffier

On his new toy it's not a bug, it's a feature! You get a functionnal Optimal Optimus toy with a bonus 'cybertronian mode' (or actionmaster if you're feeling saucy!) Optimus Primal which approximate what he looked before scanning his organic gorilla mode.

I plan to get both the regular and SDCC/Throne version and the regular version will most likely be modded so I can separate both figures while the Throne will remain intact as the 'Evolution'/combining gimmick is more visually palatable with a unified scheme.

So, infinity gauntlet style, which 4 primemasters would you use if you had it? Mine are A3, Vector prime, quintus, and alchemist.

Yeah, he's great, I love all the interactivity he has built into him; sometimes, you just need a fun toy to be a fun toy

I wonder if anyone would be tempted to customize the smaller Primal (from the standard retail Leader) into something that looks closer to Transmetal Primal? That would make all of BW forms represented in two figures.

Both options are cool and doable, even if the smaller Primal would need a bit more tweaking to the design, as an accurate representation of that form would require to 'reshell' Primal. The easier solution would be simply a new chest, head and altered shoulders for a rough representation.

As for Duocon/Mega Pretender Oilmaster it would be really, really cool to see and is a custom idea I've proposed before. Ideally I think the more jet-ish part would need to be scrapped and a the more mechanical parts would need some fur molded via green stuff/putty with the gorilla chest and the forearms being the best area to add fur.

He's got, IMO, the most 'play value' of all three leader molds. He's got more modes and each component can function as a fully-formed figure

Ideally, if I had everything, I'd put the 12 normal Prime Masters in the Halo display, and the three Special Edition Prime Masters and the Thirteenth Prime Master in the Scepter.

Just checked the Throne listing on HTS, and it appears it's been taken down completely. I guess that's the final nail in the coffin for anyone hoping he might come back in stock.

Yeah just noticed that as well. Plus its no longer in my cart. Guess its a blessing in disguise, as now for the same money, I can get retail Primal and the upgrade kit.

I've got a question for all of you who have Throne of the Primes Optimal Optimus. Look at the red knee caps on your figure. Are they two different tones of red? On mine, the "outer" sides of the knees are a darker red paint and the "inner" sides are a brighter red paint. The seam down the middle of each knee makes the color difference even more obvious. Is every sample like this, or did I get a weird paint job on mine? I've tried looking at pictures online, but I can find anything in a large enough resolution and with proper lighting to really tell.

NO MORE HTS. Not after this whole Throne of the Primes debacle.

Mine is still in the cart. I've got a call from Hasbro saying they'd like to talk about my order, but their hours on the weekends are nonexistent, so I got to wait until Monday. There still might be hope for my order yet!

At first, I was excited about the Primes and the Pretender suits. I grabbed the first wave off HTS when they went up at 3.99, and then I waited.
And waited.

I never found wave 2 in the wild, not have I seen most of the deluxes and STILL haven't seen a Hun-Gurr.

Now the line is pretty much over, we've seen just about all the bots they've told us about. The distribution of this items just feels horrible and spotty. Maybe TRU going under had something to do with it, but I never had a lot of luck shopping there either.

I hope you guys waiting for your orders do finally get them. I'm done with this line though.

If the next line is as bad, it may just put me off collecting any more and just enjoying the collection I've got.

That does help somewhat. If it's an optical illusion, than that's fine by me. At least I know you see what I'm talking about! I haven't gotten the shading to "switch sides" yet, but the effect on the right knee is a LOT more pronounced than on the left knee for me. That does lead me to believe it's a trick of the eyes. Anyone else have any input?

OK, prepare for a longer post touching on several subjects previously talked about.

1) I have not transformed the Throne Primal yet, but he is awesome!!! The mold works really well with the OG Primal colors, and I love the crown and the detailing put into the throne and the halo and scepter.

2) Throne Prime Masters. I am still debating this heavily, especially since I still gotta get Predaking and the wave 3 guys. I think I might be doing what Sabr said: Placing the regular 12 in the halo and the Arisen along with the 3 clear versions in the sceptor. Then the 8 armor pieces will stand around him, empty as they may be. Cause I am displaying him with the backdrop and the throne. Leads to...

3) I still plan to get the regular retail release one was well. He will be the Primal on the BW shelf, as his colors match with his body design better there. And I want to support the fan voted Prime. I will keep him named as "Optimal Optimus" and

4) The Throne version of Primal is being renamed "Maximal Prime" like I had hoped his Prime name would be. The bearer and guardian of the Primes. But

5) what to do with the empty Onyx matrix on Predaking, or even the empty shells? Well, the shells are fairly ok empty, but the Onyx spot would bug me, even if not visible. But then came an idea: we all talked about putting titan masters in the scepter, but what if we used the spare Titan Masters for other things too? Roddy Prime is by himself sitting in TR Hot Rods guns while Hot Rod doesn't use them, Thunderwing is with Nitro Zeus, and Scorponok is with Trypticon. What if the empty shells and matrix can hold those loose guys? I was actually thinking about moving one of the cons to the Preda-matrix, and maybe so could you guys. Not sure about Roddy yet, but the empty shells and matrix can make suitable places to put them. and

6) Nemesis Prime is now available for purchase by regular Amazon users, but now I don't even know if I want one anymore. I would love to complete the 3 releases and 3 black repaints, but the OP mold is kinda lame and I don't think I want to pay $50 for him, especially since hopefully another Nemesis will come down the line later and I can get him in a mold I don't buy OP in. thoughts?
