o.supreme wrote:^ was that the first straight up repaint/reuse in the SS Line? (I cant keep it all straight)...If so it makes sense. It's not really indicative of any actual character in the Live Action Films. Japanese fans have a lower tolerance for things like that. Classic characters like seekers, and Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen etc... you can get away with, but making a *nothing* character is a hard sell in Japan.
He's a shelf warmer where I live as well.

I dunno what I've done

Now that I have him, I'm super impressed, and very happy I got him. His robot mode is crazy articulated, I love the swords he comes with, and his transformation feels really satisfying and cool. He's definitely sold me on picking up ss38 later on, and now I'm tempted to go for the Voyager Megatron to match.
Overall, I'm very happy with this guy and looking forward to the rest of the line. (Keeping my fingers crossed for an AoE/Last Knight Voyager Optimus later on)

Where'd you get SS-05 from? I'm looking to track one down.

Did Thundercracker not get redistributed among other US chains? He was a Toys R Us exclusive but I got mine from Forbidden Planet in Cambridge months ago and yeah The Entertainer stores have loads of him on their shelves for £19.99 each.

Physically he was only available at TRU a few weeks before they all closed. Online they were available at a bunch of places a few months later at full price from Hasbro. People expected them to show up at liquidation stores like Ollie's, Ross, and T.J.Maxx, but I don't recall any sightings there.

We never did get any sightings from them, he was dumped off at TRU and just went as far as I've seen.
