We know the next wave of figures, they just don't happen to all be SS86 figures. The 86 figures arent being sold as a different subset, they are integrated fully into the SS line. And as of right now, we know the next wave, same as we do at this same time every year.

I'd keep a close eye out on March 10th for some more reveals. That leaked Rodimus had that date on it and that may mean that it was suppose to be shown off then. But I am not 100% on this.

Oooh, I wonder if we'll see some more Bayverse SS at that event. Probably not, not expecting to hear anything about that until the Dino/B-127 wave is at retail, but hey, you never know.

March 10 is probably Takara making up for Wonder Festival 2021 [Winter] being canceled. Would normally take place the weekend after Toy Fair (when Hasbro would have displayed them).

I could see them doing a Transformers Tuesday on the 9th, that's about as close to a simultaneous announcement as you can get from the two.

Finally got Blurr and Kup in the mail.

I have the Legends versions of these guys ... and the previous versions in United and ehobby ... so I was hesitant. But I'm a fool, so I got them anyway.

Blurr is a clear cut win. Although I do like the paint apps on Legends a whole lot at the end of the day he's a Headmaster. I'd rather have a non Headmaster.

Kup's a tougher one to call. I'm not in love with the headscult on Legends. Or how broad the shoulders are. And Studio has the better vehicle mode. On the other hand Studio is a pain to transform, has low shoulders and a weird flat face. I guess Studio, but I wish he had a better face. Does that mean I like the older ehobby Kup best!? Even if he has an Earth mode?

Either way that's it as far as these characters are concerned. I am done with G1 Kup and Blurr.

Yeah, sorry, kinda mis-spoke... I more meant "word" as in seeing leaked photos.
It will be interesting to see what Hastak decides to do when it comes to figures that could have been in a SS86-type of line based on the quality (assuming this continues in some way with G1 characters).

Either way that's it as far as these characters are concerned. I am done with G1 Kup and Blurr.

I've seen both a couple times. Actually I've seen Blurr a handful of times at Target.
For me it's really the face sculpts that throw them off.
Kup's eyes look off, and imo are too high on his face. I also think his face is a little too long.
With Blurr I think his face is much too long, and I'd say it's just too stiff and serious looking...
He was a very enthusiastic personality for the most part, and I just don't see that in this sculpt.

If they ever go on sale, I will definitely consider Kup. But by sale I mean close to 50% off. I won't pay more than $10 for Blurr, which most likely isn't ever happening.
Hopefully Wreck-Gar is more on point compared to these two. I'll be more than okay if I end up with a shelf of Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Sweeps x2 or 3, and Hot Rod and Wreck-Gar.
The more I think about it, the more I'm considering just skipping both no matter what and getting Kingdom Magnus. Him, Hot Rod, and Wreck-gar together... I could be very happy with that!

I have to admit, I do like TR's face for Blurr a bit more, but the Studio release does capture the look. Maybe not the personality so much, I guess.

Wreck-Gar will have to be really something because United Wrecky has never been out of my display.

I really want the Sweeps too. Even if I don't have room, lol.

Magnus. I have Siege Magnus. And regret getting him, especially with this one coming out. I may get him just to have. But, man. I dunno. The robot mode looks nice, but he won't dethrone City Commander (yeah, I still like him), so is there a point to it beyond just desire?

The 86 movie has been my entire thing for TF collecting since the start, so this entire line is probably something I'll get. After this, though, that's it.

Just finished work on my repaint of SS DOTM Megatron!

I realized while working on this project just how in-depth the designers went with getting the molded detail on this figure as accurate as possible. The tiny multicolored wires in Megatron's legs? They're there! Robot mode smokestacks on the back? Yep, they're there. Even the sculpting on the forearm panels matches the CGI model, it's super cool.

I am anxious to see Wreck-gar... My gut tells me he’ll be good overall, with a couple flaws. My hope is that the bot mode is great. A slightly off cycle mode won’t bother me much.

Since you have Siege Magnus, I could see holding off on the new one...
But I will say I do think the robot mode is substantially better.
If it were me, I’d consider selling him... & if you take a little hit on the price, oh well.
If I am going to have one of these on a shelf, it’s going to be the Kingdom version.
I still have a sealed City Commander set, & a sealed Classics Magnus/Skywarp 2 pack!
I’m glad I still have those!

Fingers crossed we get some photos of some more of these SS86 figures soon.

I've never sold anything, so I find it intimidating. The ToysRUs near me has a couple of shelves FULL of Siege Mangii. How much could he possibly go for at this point?

I wonder if they were looking at an early character model for Kup and Cyclonus. Neither head is totally true to the movie.

Understandable...
Others may disagree, but you could probably get $25 for him pretty easy.
Depending on how much you want the Kingdom version;
List your Siege version for $30 including shipping. If shipping ends up being $8, that's still $22 to put towards the new version.
I know it's kind of a kick to feel like you've lost a little $$, but I guess I'd try to gauge which is worse; the loss of a little $$ for a version you really like, or having something in your collection that you're not completely happy with.

If it helps, I just did a tiny bit of digging... I saw sold/completed listings on the 'bay;
3 days ago one sold for $31 +$16 for shipping!
That may be a bit high, but makes me think what I suggested is not only reasonable, but could definitely do the job of getting him sold quickly for you.

Absolutely!
It's really well done!

Eventually I could see putting some time and energy into projects like that...
I paint when I have the time, and have started considering making background/backdrops for my shelf displays.
