That's nothing! I've been waiting decades for the 4 Deluxe Insecticons. Waiting a few years for Bayverse is nothing. At least people still remember the Bay movies. The 4 deluxe Insecticons have pretty much been erased from everybody's memory. Now we're getting the 3 from the 86 movie AGAIN! We already have multiple versions of Kickback, Shrapnel & Bombshell. I'm never going to get new versions of Ransack, Barrage, Chop Shop or Venom. This is killing me. :BOOM:

We never got updates for Ransack, Barrage, Chop Shop or Venom & now all I'm seeing are fans wanting Devastator & Blaster again. There are multiple versions of Devastator & Blaster out there & they still want the same characters over & over again. While I can't even have 1 new Venom. :-(

I think we should get them as 2 Selects 2-packs at leader class prices each. Or a 4-pack at $100.

Well, somebody's sure been ignoring these three Chop Shops we've gotten between Hasbro and Takara:

After months of debating with myself, I've finally bit the bullet and bought a Devastator. It's coming later this week, and while I've had Long Haul, Mixmaster, Rampage and Scrapmetal before so I know what to expect with them, I've never owned Scavenger, Overload, Scrapper or Hightower, so I'm looking forward to handling those, along with the fully formed Devastator of course.

I want to get something straight, I am not against any type of Transformers (except maybe Beast wars since I just don't like seeing real type animals turn into robots. Magmatron is the one exception to this). I definitely have a preference towards Bayverse, since it is what I grew up with and is what pops up to me when I first think of what transformers are. I am just getting tired of seeing so many redo's of the G1 designs (I count BB movie in this since they are just G1 with more lines), while a lot of the Bayverse stuff still may not even have a figure ever made yet. There are maybe 20 more Bayverse figures that I would like to see made and it would probaly take a year (or maybe two if they are slow) for Hasbro to finish them off. For the BB movie figures, I wish that it got its own line back in 2018-19 to dump out all these figures (instead of the energon igniters line).

Yes, this. Exactly this. I like G1, and I also like the Travis knight designs. But their obvious neglect to the bayverse characters is starting to seem intentional and frustrating.

Perhaps Hasbro is trying to spread the Bay figures out because they know once a cast is complete for a movie is done, if not all the live-action movies, then this line is basically done until the next live-action movie.

It's only at Leader class because of the whopping throne they're including with it.

Well I for one, am excited for the Bee movie Soundwave (and possibly Brawn if he looks cool) and for possible AoE updates. Besides that movie and some of the B/C team background characters from DotM, we are kinda getting to the final half of the line  I'm certain we WILL get the AoE updates though, because gosh dang, that was a weird line when it came out and it would be a real shame not to touch what are arguably some of the better, more dynamic movie designs

And frankly, I'm OK with that. Especially if more than just the seeker mold can sit in it. Heck, I've been trying to find a stool or something on Shapeways that a voyager-class figure could sit on, and it has been difficult. And if I did, it would probably be close to 50 bucks just for the seat. Getting a figure with a crown and cape to go with the throne is a bonus.

But keep in perspective a few things:
There is a high probability that this throne isn't going to be anywhere near a throne that by itself would cost $50.
Look at the missed potential with the Wheelie and Daniel pack-in's.
If they weren't willing to give those guys hinged knees, I'm not expecting much of anything from a glorified chair. I'll be real surprised if it does anything like swivel or have any sort of articulation.
I'm thinking the only reason it won't be one molded piece of plastic is so it will fit in the package... If it's the same size box as Grimlock's it can't be much of a throne if it's 1 piece packed with a voyager class figure and the other accessories (including a relatively big cape).
In fact, the more I think about the logistics with packaging, the more I think that this throne may actually end up being a platform (despite the rumor of an articulated cape).
Using a previous mold for this version you'd think that Hastak would be able to add in accessories that are a legit $20+ worth of stuff... I just don't see that being the reality.
And if the rumor is true that Ss's shoulders have been re-tooled, you won't even be able to use all of the accessories on another seeker...

But sure, I'm okay with this figure.
Because I know it's this type of release that makes figures like the new Dinobots, Perceptor, and eventually new Insecticons and Blitzwing possible.

True. And now that I stop and think about it, we could get something as lame as the Quintesson Judge's 'throne' just upscaled.

Could be even worse. They better not say since they reworked the shoulders and threw in the crown and an articulated cape, they decided to make the backdrop that they throw in with Studio Series figures look like the throne. And since they had to retool the base of the backdrop to be higher for the figure to sit on and the sides to be like the arms of a throne, they had to bump the price point up to Leader. We'll get a cardboard throne that doesn't stay together...

It just hit me, that next year is the 15th anniversary of the 2007 Michael Bay movie. I wonder if Hasbro would be tempted to do anniversary packs with SS figures.

Almost the entire cast of the 2007 movie has been released, but would anyone complain about anniversary special edition 2 packs?

Prime vs Bonecrusher Highway Brawl?

Sounds awesome to me! A Bee vs Barricade pack would be a great opportunity to include a tiny Frenzy.

Hmmm, I've got it. For the 2007 Movie anniversary, they will do a figure in the crossover line with Transformers crossing over with Transformers. They will make a movie bot like Jazz and give him a 2007 movie accurate bot mode and deco, and somehow through some transformation panel magic it will convert to a G1 cartoon Jazz car mode also with proper deco.

That should piss everyone off, therefore it is almost confirmed.

And I'll probably still buy it and love it.

I'd be down for a Bee VS Barricade 2 pack. The only SS Bee I have are the Jeep and the old rusty Camaro. And I stupidly missed out on Barricade.

I already have SS-01 and the original SS Barricade, but if they included Frenzy and the Bee has the weathering like on Clunker Bee then I’d be up for it.

I’d seriously recommend SS-49 or SS-74, it’s the best deluxe Bumblebee mold IMO.

You do know that was a concept for a few figures in the late '80s? They were going to make a Skywarp that turns into a jet, who turns into Megatron, who turns into a gun.

Slight correction: The Skywarp/Megatron would have only turned into a jet. It was the Megatron/Galvatron that would have become a gun. They were triple changers.

Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for Studio Series reveals on Pulse. They announced Fan First Friday next week is going to be Power Rangers.

Been playing around with B-127 and I don't really get all the hate for this mold (I do not own Cliffjumper). I found the transformation to be a lot of fun, all the panels plugged in nicely and he looks great in both modes. I wish his backpack didn't stick out quite that far, but I didn't have leg panels falling off like people said they would.

On the other hand I've also been playing around with Buzzworthy SS74 Bee which I thought received glowing reviews, but I found his panels to be very annoying. I get one side together but the other side starts pulling apart, I get the back half together and the front starts to come apart. It's very frustrating, good thing I don't intend to keep in car mode very long. Also his weapon doesn't do nearly as good a job of covering his hand as B-127's does.

My Devastator arrived yesterday, and I spent the day messing around with each individual Constructicon before combining him. Scavenger's transformaion really pissed me off, and the instructions weren't much help either. Overload is a lot of fun and has a unique design, though I'm not keen on his vehickle mode, it doesn't even look like a dump truck.
Combining the Constructicons was the real difficult part, it took two hours and I had to watch two YouTube videos to find out where everything is supposed to go. The instructions are laid out as Devastator component to robot and then robot to vehicle, but they're all really hard to follow in reverse. It was all complicated, but not in a fun or engaging way, but in a "Why did I buy this?" way.
Even so, now he is all put together, Devastator looks good on the shelf next to the Combiner Wars version, so I may just have hm as a display piece and not break him apart for the individual Constricticons very often.

Same about not getting the hate. I have Cliffjumper and aside from the hea swivel, I don't really see problems.

On the other hand I've also been playing around with Buzzworthy SS74 Bee which I thought received glowing reviews, but I found his panels to be very annoying.

Also same, I have the earlier mold that this one is based on and I didn't find it special. It just felt to me like the millionth rendition of that familiar transformations scheme they've been using for Bumblebees since the second TLK one. I guess that's why I liked Jeep Bee so much, it felt different.
