But DOTM Devcon is who they were talking about. That's who won the tournament.Till-all-R1 wrote:I never suggested anything DOTM, I was responding to "a comment" made but was speaking about a potential G1 Defcon release that I had heard about. My mistake for posting here in your movies only thread.

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Got my final 2 Studio Series figures for the year, and with them I have finished the wave.
Starting with Crosshairs, he is a definite improvement over his old toy. He is much more involved, and his alt mode parts end up being more included as well. I love that half his hood ends up as the front parts of his trenchcoat. I also like how much more functional the arms are, and how his posability improved with the redesign. His transformation is very different from his first toy, which is always a good thing to experience. I like him, he is an improvement, and he's a good toy.
As for Hot Rod, he is also a good toy. Finally, a movie accurate toy! His transformation is very involved, but makes for a clean robot. They put a lot of effort into him, and he is real good.
Overall, the wave was strong. The Fallen is a definite winner, and I adore Laserbeak. Both deluxes ended up being good too. It was a good wave.
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Wanted to share some round shots of Hot Rod. I am impressed by how clean they made his robot mode while still making it accurate. He is real good.

I'm sad ROTF game Breakaway isn't there as I've seen strong rumours at TFW2005 that he's coming out next year.

I had no interests for the SS figure mainly for the same reason as the previous two: BLAND PAINTJOB.
But you fixed that beautifully.
The proof, look at this happy boy:

Thank you! I got lucky that there's a lot of good reference pics (and the Prime 1 Studios statue) since the striping is pretty intricate!

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Thank you both! Here's another pic of him:
EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:Our first look at ROTB SS deluxe Bumblebee! Interesting that they went with the Offroad version!
The upper body looks like it reuses the engineering from Clunker Bee (with maybe some minor changes for the backpack) , while the legs appear to have an all-new transformation. It looks pretty good, I’m excited to get it!
