Why larger? More complex sure, but these are clearly not bigger. Everyone who went to the toyfair came back saying they were the standard deluxe size. And while they are more complex than CW, they arent more complex than usual. The early FOC deluxes are still far more complex (BB and Optimus), but this is a nice return to normal.
The exact transmissions rumour, if you listened to the podcast, was that these new deluxes would be of higher quality, bigger and come with an extra vehicle or animal partner.
This did not pan out. The deluxes are the same sixe as usual, and the little animals and vehicles are the titan master figures sold individually.

Also, the source of the transmission podcast is not a Hasbro employee, it is someone who has ties to an employee, supposedly, but not an employee. So what they say and have said is still based on observation and opinion. Other people have seen the same things they saw but instead have kept their mouths shut.
