Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy are the ones most in need of an update. Later lines like TFP and Animated are generally fine - occasionally even legendary - for good representations of the cast. Wouldn't mind seeing another go at Airachnid or Lugnut, though...

Cybertron/GF still holds well compared to recent ones. Even better for some. As Well as Energon Decepticons.
It's more Energon Autobots and Armada line which were the most broken because of their gimmicks.
The whole Energon deluxe and voyager class because of the combiner thing, Optimus because of electronics (I'm sure he can be less fatty without sounds and batteries)..
The energon Decepticons which where not affected by the combiner thing still holds well for me. No need to update Energon Starscream, neither scorponok or Megatron in my opinion.
Same for Cybertron GF, who needs to be updated ?
But Armada.. ouch, we really need to do something.
And something else than the crappy generations hotshot who is probably worse than the original.
Not english-native speaker. Thank you for being cool on my typos.

Beast Machines too since it took that line forever to start making toys that bore any real resemblance to the otherworldly alien designs of the show.

Hey, so, anyone got a picture of Ramhorn and Shuffler's Titan Masters? I wanna see how much - if at all - they look like each other. Hasbro frustratingly doesn't provide Titan Master CG renders for the actual Titan Master class.

It was just pointed out to me how IDW Anode's transformation is based on Mindwipe - largely in the legs - and now I want a toy of her even more.

Kurona wrote:I think that with the Prime Wars trilogy being so overloaded with G1 characters, we've gotten an ideal representation of most of the first few years of G1 characters -- also accounting for lines like Thrilling 30 and Reveal the Shield. So with at least one version of those characters 'out of the way' as such, that should pave the way open for future Generations lines to be multi-generational. Especially when you account for other factors like how a lot of older collectors now grew up with Beast Wars or Armada instead of G1. It's been decades since those aired; fans of those have grown up.
As someone who's as much a Cybertron fan as a G1 fan (and who started with Cyberton, G1 being before my time), while on the one hand it would be cool to see some Cyberton and other Unicron trilogy updates, I don't think it's nearly as necessary as G1 updates. The toys adapted from Diaclone and Microchange are cool, but they're bricks when it comes to leg articulation and for the most part are undersized compared to modern figures. The combiners (including post-movie combiners using the "Scramble city" design) have it worse since they're underscaled even among their fellow G1 toys (though in their case this can be mitigated by displaying them with Legends - er, sorry, Legion now - figures). Astrotrain and Blitzwing are also dinky compared to their fellows (something they share with Transformers-original Triple Changer Springer).
The movie-onward toys for the most part aren't hit by the size thing as badly, but they're still bricky - many aren't even up to the Diaclone levels of articulation, and there are some cases where this is just sad (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, RODIMUS PRIME)...
The Unicron trilogy figures, by contrast, are in good standing on size. And in most cases, if they're lacking in articulation it's where that was deliberately sacrificed in favor of Victory/Zone/RoC-esque gimmickry (which is fun in its own right) or Energon's combination gimmick as opposed to it just being lazy design (*looks at G1 Rodimus Prime again*) or limited engineering.
It also has to be said that Deluxe, Voyager, and Leader figures of today are lesser in size compared to the Unicron Trilogy (the shrinkage seems to have set in post-ROTF), and there's one size class - Ultra - that was common in the Unicron Trilogy but has been forgotten about entirely after the 2008 Universe line.

I am not so sure about that. The voyagers are a new size class that appeared since then so there is nothing to compare it too and the deluxes of today are just as big.
As for the Leader Class, well it only appeared in Cybertron. If we look at the figures of the leader characters before that then you get this as a comparison:

I feel its like when people remember G1 being entirely made of die cast (which it wasnt). We tend to look at the past more fondly.

^ To be a little fairer, the Giga-Con size class of Armada (barring the intentionally-abnormally tall Tidal Wave figure) was more akin to the Ultra class that both preceded Armada in the Beast Era and succeeded Armada in Cybertron and couple lines after that.

Voyager class is just a renaming of the Mega class. Hasbro couldn't be happy with consistent class names during AEC.
Armada - Max-Con
Energon - Mega
Cybertron - Voyager
They were terribly inconsistent with classes after RID2001, but AEC really took it to a new level. Thankfully everything leveled out for the most part after (aside from the whole Legend/Legion thing).
As for the Leader Class, well it only appeared in Cybertron.
Energon also had Leader class with Megatron, Optimus, and Galvatron. Interestingly, despite his size Tidal Wave was not Leader class. He was the equivalent to Ultra class in both Armada and Energon, probably because he didn't have electronics.
Incidentally RID2001 Optimus and Magnus were "Super class" which was technically equal to Leader class in that they were higher up than Ultra.

It amuses me that most of the fans seems to gravitate back to the old Beast Wars size classes for verbal discussions... ignoring the sensationalized size class of the week.

Assuming that Leak is to be believed. The Rumor Mills have been kicking around a Titan Predaking being in development since Devastator. Whixh acrually lines up with current time frames quite nicely, so no reason bot to doubt it, but until itsin ourhot little hands...

I'd say Hasbro's reaction to the "rumors" is pretty much an admission of their veracity.

No individual beast modes, sadly. There were plans to make it happen. I am guessing that it would cost a lot so they probably scrapped it for something they could re-mold.

Obviously, I'm not talking about some Botcon/Funpub/TCC fancy repaint. I'm talking about the REAL DEAL.

Guys, while i appreciate the whole memory wipe role playing we are doing, we dont have to act like nothing happened or nothing was leaked. We are still allowed to talk about it, especially if it helps fellow users plan their future purchases of these wonderful toys. I wouldnt want to give misinformation either.
So, just to set the record straight, there were leaks and due to what happened after, I am sure they are true. Next year's titan is predaking and he will be 5 big bots like Devastator.
And while some fans could probably still find those images online, all that I ask is that we dont repost them here.
But yeah, Predaking's coming
