Sjeng, this is where living in the Us gives you the greatest advantage. These toys are exclusively found on Hasbro Toy Shop and no where else. And while they might ship internationally, their shipping prices are always very very high making it never worth to buy from them in my case. As someone not living in the US, the words "HTS exclusive" might as well mean "You aint gonna get this one Will". In any case, he is now out of stock.

Ok so this is a toy haul thread well guess what fellows? I got myself an Overlord! And the determining choice between this and Takara was really the chest flaps... and the cost.

It's worth repeating that a few items that didn't instantly sell out last year ended up on HTS's ebay shop with free shipping. That TLK OP seems destined to end up there soon.

this has really been a month of Transformers, after going nearly 2 months between getting anything other than a few legions. i will post about this in the TLK thread, but Nitro Zeus may be figure of the year. All 4 of the wave 2 and 3 voyagers are amazing and beat any Titans return figure (including Topspin) in my eyes, but Nitro is super addictive. And he will go perfectly with Thunderwing considering his titan master cockpit is usable in robot mode.. as the base of his BFG on his right arm!

And as for leader Megs, I think you guys got some bad ones. Mine is fantastic and heavy. He beats Jetfire and Magnus, and he's a jet so he needs to be a little lighter like Jetfire

the other day I had TLK Voyager Hound and Megatron show up on the doorstep. Tooknadvan tr age of the HTS code.

I'm not impressed. At all. I already gave both figures to my sons.

Really? I found them to be amazing figures, and that voyager Megatron is the best of the Mega-gang!

AHA! Right, just like how I found those wings on RID Starscream to be of a lighter palstic than I was used to. These toys have to resist the drop test, since they are flying toys, unlike say leader Megatron from ROTF.

They're so cool! Oddly enough, I was waiting for the delivery so I could mess with Megs, but at least right now, I like Hound a lot more. He just oozes character, and I wish I had the AoE version so I could give him all the weapons and stuff.

Actually I do count Grimlock and he is the bad one. Not because of the mold, that is fine, it is because Hasbro decided to include a redeco in wave 1 that is now clogging shelves everywhere holding up waves 2 and 3. I swear every single store near me (Target, Walmart, TRU) has 8-20 Grimlocks and 1 or 2 Primes. I don't collect the movie line, and only want Nitro to be the body for the Thunderwing die cast head. At this rate, Nitro won't show up until June 2018, if at all.

Got my first package ever from Mandarake and they messed up. They didnt write that godbomber had been touched up with dried up epoxy that doesnt work. Now I have a crummy Godbomber. I get why the previous user had to use something though, this **** wont hold together

Wow, sorry to hear that, Will. They're usually much more thorough with their inspections than that. I hope they're customer support is as good to you as they have been to me in the past when they sent me the wrong item and let me keep what they sent and gave me a refund. But YMMV.

As for me the Cybertron set arrived from BBTS. The very first thing I did with Tidal Wave was pop off all of the little wings and turn them around. Not only does his jet mode look infinitely better, but with the wings now backwards in carrier mode they're reminiscent of the backwards wings of the Armada figure's flight mode.


There is an issue where the large panel making the back of the carrier falls off when transforming.

Metalhawk is OK, though he would have benefited from brighter gold and the red plastic feels a bit cheap on the guns. Mine also has a tendency for the right fit to fall off when changing him.

Optimus might actually be a bit better than the Takara Tomy version. Especially the black guns not showing a lot of blue, I don't care that they can't connect together well anymore from all the paint. Only thing I'd change is giving him red eye, not sure why they gave him silver ones.

Pounce is perfection in both modes. He might just be one of the all around best Basic/Scout/Legends cats ever made. Just love the way everything folds onto his back without being all full of kibble.

And of course little Thunderwing is nice as well. Love the face details and little fangs.

All in all it's a good set, just a real shame that we aren't getting any more after this.

I saw the front windows are different, but aside from paints, what's the deal here?

I got my TR Brainstorm right now!
I didn't get the Blurr mold, but I always read about people really happy about it.
This version of the mold is pretty cool, and looking it in hand looks really a lot sleeker and rounder than it looked in the renderings. I can understand why they decided to use it both for Nautica and Arcee.
I LOVE how the green plastic looks, especially in the front part/gun. SHINY!
It surprised me how the painted details on the wings are painted. I was expecting stickers.

Still, it won't replace my Generations Brainstorm in the Lost Light shelf.
I wanted this version because I wanted the four headmasters to be in the same class with compatible gimmicks, but I like the IDW-look of the voyager version more.

Now I just miss Highbrow to have all 4 of them.
I hope to be able to complete my wishlist from TR before the start of the PotP.

Damn Will, sorry to hear. I have yet to experience anything like that from Mandrake, and I've got probably 10+ orders with them under my belt at this point. I'm assuming you've contacted them, what did they say?

This is the Takara Legends remold. He's got: new truck cab, new Titan Master, new feet, new forearms, new hand guns, and maybe more I can't remember. He's also compatible with LG Godbomber, whereas Hasbro's first release is not.

Feet, arms, weapons, chest, and thus several bits of the transformation. Its a very different look all around, two different toys and two different looking base modes too.
