Emerje, about that lone G1 Optimus Prime, did you check the copyright stamp? Just to eliminate the possibility of it being a bootleg.

Fun fact: G1 Optimus Prime doesn't have copyright information on the figure itself, it's all on the trailer making IDing them a particular hassle. Apparently you have to look at things like the stacks, the inner thigh, and how the silver stripe sticker is applied. The sticker alone rule it out as a vintage '80s figure. The inner thigh tells me it's a reissue rather than a KO, but I have no idea which Japanese reissue it is. Not that it really matters to me.

It's all a process of elimination: it has yellow eyes and clear windows so that rules out the New Year's Edition, Encore has tampos, so that's a no go either, and the Chronicles release has a retooled hitch. So it's either the very first reissue of 2000 or the TFC one.

Well. I must have been confused, since people post about getting third party figures in here more than a few times and I've never seen that brought up until I did it just now. In fact, when I did the same thing earlier this week, nothing was brought up about it.

Okay, it happened. It's not a big deal, so it's usually overlooked. But technically 3rd party hauls belong in the 3rd party forum. So please post them there. I'm saying this to everyone, not just Dagon. But it's done with, so moving on.

Friday's TLK Leader Megatron had a nasty QC issue. One of the jet's tailfin was just not there.



Also, leader TLK Megatron feel like a KO, with cheap plastics all over and tidbits detaching everywhere all the time while transforming. I HATED it. So today I decided to return it for a FULL REFUND.

One day I may get a TLK Leader Megs again but I refuse to pay more than 20$CAN for it.

Anyway, with the money I got the figure I REALLY wanted, TR Leader OVERLORD!
Glad I did because of the 5 or 6 Overlords Walmart had 2 days ago, only ONE remained and I took it. Paid the full 55$CAN plus taxes but I didn't cared.
I'm tired of getting CHANG'd by Hasbro's bad QC so I transformed and inspected Overlord right outside the Walmart.

In the end, everything was ALL RIGHT.



I obviously already have the stellar TR Leader Sky Shadow and lemme tell you, Overlord is well worth owning even if you already have him. He's REALLY different. Also, Overlord is very well painted and the stickers are applied correctly. Finally, the plastics feel solid and even though there's no ratchet joints anywhere, he's tight all over. No regrets!

I saw Leader Megs for the first time and passed. Was fully intent on getting him. Glad I skipped it because you just confirmed what I saw in package. It looked pretty KO-like.

I did however pick up Sixshot during the same outing. I have yet to experience the full breadth of what the figure offers but I'm looking forward to transforming him.

Guys, come on. KO? I mean sure the plastic can feel cheap but I think we are all forgetting how terrible dollar store KOs can be. I saw one today on my hunt, it was bad and nothing comparable to TLK Megs.

I'm sure the engineering is there, and I trust those who enjoy the figure. It just looked off to me in person. Maybe if it was packaged as the jet I would have been swayed. I wouldn't mind grabbing him on discount tbh.

The plastic of TLK leader Megs just feel cheap. the kind found on peanut butter jar and the like. Plus it have a foul smell. Not like "new" smell. Like dafok-is-that-chemical smell. And the final nail in that coffin was all those tidbits that pop out and needed to be snap back in while transforming. It cranked my hatred to 11.

Strangely enough, the voyager TLK Megs don't feel cheap, don't smell, and is solid all over.

Finally put away some toys I had in the living room, but kept these 3 on the coffee table. They just happen to be my latest 3 hauls. OP I picked up yesterday at Walmart. Dislike the bot and transformation, but the truck oddly enough makes me happy.

To be honest, he's not that terrible. But the asking price is just absurd for what you get and that blatant lack of QC is just enraging.

If you ever want a leader TLK Megs, make sure it's on sale. and even then, the price would just go back to the previous regular one. Which is still overpaid IMO.
If you do buy it, make sure to inspect the toy very carefully for missing or wrong parts. I've been burned by Hasbro almost 3 times in a row. This is getting ridiculous.

If he does smell like that, then I can understand why you'd want to take an asprin and go to bed (I was just stirring btw).

And if he does have that toxic smell, then there most likely is something wrong with the plastic, which would probably make him feel like a KO.

I'd offer suggestions that others offered me to try to fix it, but it's not worth it. If that thing stinks, just get rid of it. Just know that they're not all like that.
