The only line I experienced major QC issue was POTP, with a floppy-ass Jazz, missing weapons and/or painting errors I could not see inside the box. TR had a few minor but nearly every POTP figure I had suffered from from one popping or too stiff limb, misapplied paint/sticker or errors in their accessories. Nothing bad enough to warrant returning the figure however.

QC is always luck of the draw. My MP Beast Wars Megatron, for example, is perfectly fine. With not even a sign of a stress mark on the crouch. Yet when I sourced a boxed Platinum Edition Cyclonus last year, he had two left hands. The only time you really take notice of it is when you get a bad run.

While he's not exactly Fort Max height, I'm still more than pleased with how well he's turning out. I can't wait to have him and the rest of the Decepticon Headmasters together on a shelf

Man, every time I see that Japanese Fort Max, I'm reminded of just how pleasing that version's deco is compared to the Hasbro and SDCC versions' decos (which, IMHO, pale in comparison).

Weird request here. Can someone provide a link to Scorponok's amazon US page? If you pre-ordered the item you should be able to get to the product page, that is what I am looking for. I just want it so that I can stalk it better for when it comes back in stock. Thanks!

And again they forgot to flip out Scorpy's toes. Hasbro did the same thing at Toy Fair, I guess those toes are just that easy to overlook.

That's how I feel about all of the Japanese Titans pre-brand unification. I went Takara Tomy on Metroplex, Devastator, and Fort Max with zero regrets, they're all far superior to their Hasbro retail and SDCC counterparts. I am glad that the unification also gave us better looking Titans in general, I can't think of too many ways that Predaking, Trypticon, Omega Supreme, or Scorponok could be improved as far as paint goes (accessories on the other hand...).

Ok, I've watched a few online reviews for SkyLynx, and I have a concern about the Base Mode. It appears the shuttle is not stable at all just sitting in the platform. Only Obtibotimus addressed it, the others tried to gloss over or fudge it by having it lean up against things

I know most people aren't getting it for the base Mode, but I just want it to be stable, if anyone who has it can offer any thoughts, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Skylinx base mode is just a "why not" bonus mode. Like for TR Sky Shadow and Overlord. But if it's indeed not so much stable and you want to use it as a nice Micromasters display (like linked with Omega Supreme) I bet some 3P or Shapeway upgrade kits is already in production.

I'm not one for 3P ad ons usually because they require you to break or take apart your toys. But if some company made simply an add on that stabilized the rocket to the platform, I'd be all for it.

New War for Cybertron: Earthrise In-Package Images of Snapdragon, Megatron, and Quintesson Judge

Postby Bounti76 » Wed Jun 10, 2020 12:58 am

Weapon: Vibro-Axe
Thanks to online retailer Dorkside toys, we can bring you the first images of upcoming Voyager Class figures Megatron, Snapdragon, aves the very highly anticipated Quintesson Judge! As you probably know by now, Megatron is a retool of his Siege figure, but Snapdragon and the Judge are entirely new figures- in the case of the Judge, it's the first ever figure for the character which appeared in the original 1986 animated movie! It also appears that Snapdragon will not be made with a similar plastic to that of his Horrocon teammate, Apeface, whose nearly pearlescent plastic was widely panned.

I seriously can't wait for Snapdragon to be released. Though, weirdly these pictures make me tempted to pick up a second one and try my hand at creating a Grimlock custom because the T-Rex mode is kind of similar, plus I can imagine it as an upgrade Grimlock received so that he could fly/be more effectively disguised for "stealth missions"

Dang it, I swore I wouldn't get Megatron! I already have 2 of the mold, but aside from that stupid blade/barrel "weapon" he actually looks pretty good. As for Snapdragon, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not impressed. I'll get him because I have Apeface, but he doesn't look that great. His robot mode is the best, IMO, hell6be displayed that way.

Usually, many upgrade kits are just accessories that you snap on and off. I don't know what is required to stabilise the base mode, so I'll go all Ace Ventura and talk out of my ass. So I imagine some sort of pole or tripod that can be used as a big-ass mounted gun for the other modes.

If Hasbro or Takara needs people that can transform transformers properly before photo shoots surely they don't have to try that hard to find them.

Having said that... Riotworks

The Quints look good. Still don't like that they "transform" though. I think they could have just sold them as a twin pack with an Allicon and just had the rotating face function.

I don’t mind battle damage as much as some, but I am in agreement with those that don't like it on this new Megatron. It's very heavy and feels very out of place in Earthrise.

I don't think the quintesson has a rotating face, I think the faces pop off using that little tab and can be swapped. That may be common knowledge by now, but I just noticed.

I'm pretty sure the faces do rotate. What you are seeing is 2 of the faces come unattached in the packaging because it would be too thick with them attached.

Edit: "Figure's head rotates to reveal the 5 faces of the Quintesson Judge." right from the listing on Hasbro Pulse
