What exactly is wrong with it?
God Sunstreaker wrote:Hi,
I have an MP-24 Star Saber and it is having problems with one of its foot ratchets. Its left foot will not lock into place to make the foot flat; so Star Saber stands flat. The foot ratchet wants to make the foot point out a little. It just won't lock in that possition: it will lock in the next position.
Has anyone heard of this issue or have experience taking apart the foot and fixing the ratcheting?
Thanks!

Sounds like the locking mechanism is busted. If you transform Omega Supreme from Robot to Tank Mode, you have to press a tab marked "PUSH" on the side of the treads to unlock them before pushing them into the body.
Similar mechanism are found on large toys with telescoping legs, like Bandai's Mecha Toys.

Best way to describe it is that it's firm, but will bend a bit if enough pressure is applied. It's broken into 3 pieces. I'll try to add a picture.Acesmcgee wrote:I am not familiar with that price, how soft? Rubbery, or more firm? Also how broken? I have a few ideas, but some aren't so...clean, but they work3d for me when I used to fix toys from salvation army and such when I was younger. If you have any photos that could help too

I haven't noticed this on mine, but I have a suggestion. Back when TR Trypticon came out, one of the hip joints was weird, not allowing the leg to sit flush in alt mode. I disassembled, flipped or rotated the offending gear, and everything works much better now. (I also did other fixes, but that isn't really relevant here.)
If you are comfortable trying it, I might suggest disassembling the affected area (foot or ankle, if I understand correctly) and see if the gearing can be adjusted, either flipping or rotating the gear structure. It is possible that the tooth pattern is off because of mis-assembly.
When I get a chance, I'll transform mine and see if there is a similar issue.
Tyrannacon wrote:So I was looking around my Megatron's head and neck tonight since my above post and I found a way to disconnect it from the housing it sits on. There's a screw on the side of the neck from what it looks like. I didn't see it at first and didn't realize it because it's easy to not notice.
Okay, so I took my mini-screwdriver set and loosened it. I didn't even need to take the head off completely because I noticed I could finally lock the mask in position from this point on. As you can imagine, I am giddy with the result. So I tightened the screw up a bit more (not overly tightened, just enough so the plastic pieces stayed closer together with no opening of any kind) and still saw my "fix" worked and stayed. So crisis has been averted and here he is with his mask finally locked in the open position that I've been unable to do up until tonight.
