I hope I didn't come off as saying I don't want the Generations idea to happen, or I don't want updates of old characters. Beast Wars and Cybertron, etc. updates are great! But I would gladly sacrifice that for something completely new and mind blowing. Like the way Beast Wars blew my mind 1996.

Sorry D, which mold?
D-Max wrote:-Since you touched on Scourge real quick, would you guys recommend TR or Generations Scourge? I plan to get one here soon, but not sure which one to go for.
I actually like TR Scourge better, but Gen Scourge has a much more intricate transformation .
D-Max wrote:-Because it came up, Cobo: what is the maddest you've ever been at a toy? Has a toy ever really made you mad?
No! Probably not really. Some Movie toys, maybe? Or things with funky abstract alt modes. But never really mad. I spent the money, no one to be mad at but myself.
I'm probably one of the most forgiving Transformers fans you'll ever meet.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Good show as always, congrats to Cobotron for his ascension to regular cast member.
Nemesis Primal wrote:~So with these leaks, how many repaints of those molds do you guys predict are coming? Do you think we're going to get Hauler and Artfire, or just Inferno? What about Exhaust, who was briefly mentioned once in the show?
I feel like those would be more likely candidates for Selects release, but I could maybe see Exhaust in the mainline. He would be a good use to fill out a Deluxe wave and the Cons in general.
Nemesis Primal wrote:~...that was a scarily accurate assessment right in there: I DID grow up on the Unicron Trilogy, I AM buying new figures because I am lucky in terms of my school/financial state, and I am....about a year off from your assumption, meaning I am in a constant state of low-key annoyance that 98% of GenerationS is just G1 and yet I'm still buying a good many figures because they're characters I had no version of since I wasn't introduced to them until later in my time with the franchise and fandom, like Hound and Refraktor. I feel like I say something like this every 20 or something posts I make now...
And this is exactly why Generations does and should exist!
D-Max wrote:-Question about Onslaught, Stormcloud, and the Silverbolt molds: are any of the 3 worth having by themselves with the recent toys we have gotten? Is it worth hunting down any of them now?
Nemesis Primal wrote:~I remember thinking Universe Onslaught was so cool when he came out and I had no idea who he was, and I never got him...and now I'm okay with that, because Bruticus is my favorite combiner and having an Onslaught who couldn't combine would be sad, even though the mold is badass.
I think what would really be worth it, would be to hunt down the repaints of these guys. If it's too hard to erase that they're grossly oversized minis or non combining Combiner team leaders, the repaints make it easier to assimilate them into the fold. Then you still get to have these big chunky quick to T-form fun-on-the-go toys that are awesome to swoosh, crash, and PEW PEW PEW!
Storm Cloud is easy to repurpose with a little head cannon, but it's just as easy for me to pretend that Power Glide is now POWER DAVE! The obnoxious and hard rockin' doof of a brother to CW Power Glide. Whose rockus and brash behavior constantly gets under Jetfire's face plate. To no end!
