Mainly pick up transformers but I'm very selective. In fact, I'm that way about all of my toys and even my comics now. Helps keep the clutter down and you end up enjoying what you have more.
Other non-TF toys I buy are: Zoids(particularly z-builders and some of the wind up versions), he-man(again, very selective), thundercats(selective), Gundam model kits and action figures(selective), star wars vintage/original(very selective), godzilla(they can be so expensive I don't have to be selective, my wallet does it for me), predator/aliens figured(Necca/McFarlane mostly), and random video game toys(Resident Evil, MK, Assassin's Creed).
To elaborate, when I say selective, take Godzilla for instance. I have literally 11 figures, three of which are the buildable dioramas. Even the vinyl figures are very cost prohibitive to collect and not nearly worth the money. I do like some of the S.H. Monsterarts stuff but it's way too high.
For aliens/predator I focus on the dioramas or for predator, the camo versions(just picked up a Jungle Demon version).
Zoids are really neat but these guys can also be pretty pricey. Particularly when I remember buying a bunch at Kay Bee's on clearance(when Kay Bee's was still around). But they are transformerish enough (despite not transforming) to be neat and I love the ones that move with wind up.
Gundam models are really my interest although I do have a handful of the action figures. I enjoy the models though as it gives me something to do that is relatively cheap considering the entertainment I get out of it.
He-Man and Thundercats aren't too costly and I have about 20 all told although I have them split between some of the mid 2000's stuff and the vintage figures(for He-Man anyway). Really depends on how much I liked the character or the particular toy.
As for the video game stuff, I have a few random Resident evil toys, MK, and AC toys but more AC than anything with a higher focus on AC 3 and Black Flag as those were my favorite two of the games thus far.
Star Wars I absolutely love and I do have some of the vintage ships/figures and the like(AT-AT, Millennium Falcon, Rancor) as well as some of the newer figures with a focus on Unleashed. But I outright refuse to go any further down this rabbit hole as I personally have seen collections of nothing but Star Wars toys that took up entire rooms. That is not a road I wish to travel down and I have been very picky about the figures I pick up.
