Sorry but to a a majority of people on this board, the name Maximus Prime will always make us think of the former moderator.

I remember Maximus Prime, the original H-M-W moderator.
And as you can tell from various posts, he was respected, liked, hated, and despised. But he was one of the first H-M-W moderators, and it's highly like that most people will remember that over this newest incarnation.
Unlike, Red, I liked MP. And I think that I received my fair share of bans and praise alike from him. He was respectful, but also very true to the standards and practices of the H-M-W boards. Translate that to, if you didn't adhere to the rules and policies, he'd put you in your place.
He WAS a good guy. And I'd venture to say that he continues to be.
Word.

I picked my name from an amalgamation of Fortress Maximus and (obviously) Optimus Prime, and nothing else.
Google Maximus Prime. There are so many people that use that username that it isn't even close to original.
Not to mention the Maximus Prime Miniture Pups, or the "other" Maximus Prime on MySpace, or some guy on the Wu-Tang Corp. site, or even some band from Germany, or a motorcycle.
Don't flatter yourself by thinking that I used "your" character's name as my own. In fact, don't even take my join date as an indication that I started 'being' Maximus Prime at that time. The boards went through a reset years ago and that was the approximate date I joined, not the actual. I actually joined the site in the fall of 2000, and my HMW character was named soley from my username.
So no matter what you look at I can assure you that Maximus Prime is in no way, shape or form "your" creation.

Yours is a Decep, mine's an Autobot. Yours is a really original reversing of the blue and red from Op, while my character takes on Fortress Maximus' primary color scheme (thanks to Whisper's great work) and has a totally different origin...

For the record, I'm not bothered by this. I think I'm just a bit insulted (or maybe I'm flattered, I don't know) that someone would actually think I would go to the trouble of creating my HMW character of off theirs.
