The extensions are part of his accessories, I think the G1 extensions would be too small. Not sure about the sword, it's not designed to fit into his leg, I'll have a go later and let you know.

Thanks leaky and tsu. Reason I mentioned the laser dagger is that, based on the 1986 Movie back notes, the dagger was supposed to have come from Meg's boot (he really is a street brawler)

I didn't know that, I'd always assumed that he just picked up some random bots melee weapon. Damn I love Megatron!

PS "Leaky and Tsu" sounds like it should be a sitcom

I thought the laser sword was picked up after Prime hit him into the wall and a bunch of stuff fell (including Megatron's fusion canon)? That's pretty cool if it was always supposed to be in his possession Also, I need to find my MP-05 sword and see if it fits (since it has a painted hilt).

Days late on this but I watched the Optimus v Megatron scene in TF:TM and found a clip on YouTube of it. Megs gets knocked into a wall and his cannon falls off, and he definitely seems to pull that saber from his leg (moreso than the ground) as he doesn't look he just grabs it instinctively! After those minor issues I had were resolved it really makes me feel like I spent my money wisely. If you buy something and it breaks or it isn't what you want you want it fixed and that's what happened, BBTS FTW

Got mine and I have to say I love it. I think we will never see a Hasbro version because they'll never sell a transformer that turns into a P38 to a kid these days and I never like the proportions of MP05, so Apollyon it is. I am really happy with it. I had to do the shoulder joint replacement (all included in the V2) which took less than 5 minutes. I transformed him once and alt mode is much bigger than the real thing, but he'll never be displayed that way anyway. Back in robot mode, the only complaint I have is the fingers, especially the thumbs are comically loose. Now the only other thing to do is figure out which deception logo is best. Thinking of a waterslide decal. Not sure I want to get the ocean rub/scratch-on.

Congrats!! I have a first release and still think he's awesome. I used a Megatron re-issue hip sticker on my Apollyon's chest, silver matches and all. Still kicking around the idea of getting Reprolabels, but for now I'm good. Haven't used water slide decals since my model airplane days

Can you post a Pic of the hip sticker? I bet that might be findable online. Reprolables has a nice kit but I don't like the swirly chest lines. I prefer cartoon over original toy line.

Should be back a few pages, maybe just one page. I posted a bunch of shots I think.

Me too, all I did was add a decepticon symbol on his chest.

Errybody still digging Apollyon?! I haven't transformed mine in a while, thinking about having a Optimus/Megatron battle for fun tonight.

To be quite honest, I am not that fond of transforming him. Also, chumunmung never came thrugh with providing me replacement parts for his floppy metal flaps near his knees. He is in robot mode right now and looks great. I am currently having a bit more fun transforming Hasbro's MP Starscream.

I still love him. One of the best transformers I've ever owned.

I'm still happy! I don't transform him, though. He's really the best looking option out there. And I ended up picking the metallic ocean stickers from BBTS with the silver background. Looks like the stickers were meant for him. Will post up a pic later.

I have a terrible time keeping that left leg pegged in, it always wants to swing out. Anyone else have that issue? :-/


I think he looks great in robot mode and haven't transformed him in a while. Though I did just get his Reprolabels in the mail and will be moving this weekend... so I'll be having a little housewarming/unpacking/labeling party for myself come Monday

I've found if I take my time I can transform him pretty quickly, and I haven't noticed anything not connecting of getting loose yet. I picked him up last night and said "you really are Megatron!!" That sucks about the lack of parts That's just not cool.

I'm glad you got your stickers! I was checking those out before I found the one I ended up using. Still kicking around the Reprolabel idea, I'll have to look at my Chronicles G1 Megatron to see what other stickers he had on him out of the box..

The only time I had the issue with the leg is when I didn't have that extra pin pegged into the leg from the groin region. I think SirLube (leakin' lubricant) pointed that out that I forgot to use that area. What was weird is one leg would stay without it and the other wouldn't, so maybe? Let us know how the Reprolabels go, and good luck with the move!

Yeah, both legs on my copy want to swing out. Kinda frustrating but still more stable than MP-05.

I'm gonna have to break my official MP rule only for this one figure. Having recently got MP10, he needs his counterpart. Not that I'll be getting rid of MP05 mind.


Now.... where can I find one for a decent price...?

I think he was worth it. Still have my MP5 too. Apollyon was the first (and still only) 3rd party figure I've picked up and I'm not disappointed at all. BBTS and TF Source still have them in-stock, right?

this is what sold me on him. none of the others have this. dx9 will come out with one soon andcharge an extra $50 for it. But apollyon already has it.

He looks great but I haven't transformed him in a year and not sure when I will want to again. I still think he's the best looking of all the 3p Megatrons out there
