In the Shattered Glass universe, Mindmaster, or rather, Mindwarp, would still be the evil, calculative, Energon connoisseur and shrewd businessman he is in this universe. His own past is an enigma: this is because his origins lie in the Shattered Glass universe, but is unable to remember his past because of a mishap with the Stellar Spanner that brought him here...
Built as an experiment by evil mad scientist Wheeljack, Mindwarp was rumored to be more intelligent than his master. When he discovered that the Cliffjumper who was thought to be the crack-shot sniper that he and the other Autobots always knew, he was disappointed, but intrigued, to learn that although Cliffjumper wore the Autobot emblem with pride, he had allied himself with the Decepticons. Deducing that this doppelganger hailed from another universe, where Autobots are good and Decepticons are evil, he began to work on a Stellar Spanner, and experimented on traitorous Autobots (of course, there were lots of them) and Decepticon prisoners-of-war, until he had successfully tuned it to the right dimension. With his aides, the Air, Land, and Sea Drone Commanders, he crossed into the universe that the false Cliffjumper originated from. However, there was a price: when he had arrived, he lost all memory of his past life.
Stranded in a parallel universe and clueless of his origins, Mindwarp joined the East Cybertron Trading Company, at the time a company that shipped Cybertonium, Energon, and other exotic spices, and rose through the ranks until he was one of the top businessmen of the Company. Megatron, seeing potential in the harsh businessman, persuaded Mindwarp that if he pledged allegiance to the Decepticons and assassinated the Company's leaders, not only would he be rebuilt in a more powerful form, but also have the opportunity to lead the Company as he saw fit. And so, with the destruction of his leaders and taking the reigns, Mindwarp was upgraded into a much more formidable form, now dubbed Mindmaster.
In recent times, has Mindmaster formed an alliance with the infamous Decepticon Justice Division and their leader, codenamed Tarn. In exchange for providing tips in regards of their targets, Tarn and the DJD are willing to assist Mindmaster and the ECTC in their schemes.
