Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user Sabrblade has pointed us in the direction of twitter user @UNOYUKIN07153 who has tweeted what looks like excerpts from an upcoming issue of Figure King Magazine (Same source as these Rodimus Prime images).
This time, it shows the upcoming Masterpiece Skids, alongside a previously unknown redeco of the figure!
The red figure seems to be reference to a colour scheme that the toy, that would become Skids, had in one of his Diaclone releases.
Sabrblade points out that the word "Reboost" appears a few times in the accompanying text, but it's unknown a this junction if that is the name that will be given to this release.
What do you think of this new reveal? Looking forward to seeing Skids on your shelf?
Shout out in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!
We at Seibertron always aim to bring you the latest and most relevant news on all things Transformers. Occasionally, we do get opportunities to bring you content that's not exclusive to Seibertron, but is very newsworthy, and in this case, we feel is important for all Transformers fans to know. Kevin Lukis, the owner of fellow fan site Unicron.com, was granted an exclusive interview with Hasbro's Ben Montano, who's the Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing. Many thanks to Kevin for bringing this to our attention.
In this interview, Lukis and Montano discuss the biggest (and most expensive) Transformer ever made, the Chaos-Bringer himself, Unicron! They cover all things Unicron, including:
Why the changes to the color of the planet mode's maw was made.
Though he's the biggest Transformer ever made, he was, at one point, going to be even bigger.
He'd actually been planned for the Generations Selects line, which is reflected in his packaging.
When exactly he'll start shipping to U.S. backers.
Issues with distribution outside the U.S.
The unlikely chance of Unicron ever being reissued.
There are many other topics covered in the interview, which you can watch below.
So are you one of the lucky backers that will be getting your figure in the next few weeks? Just curious about what a senior Hasbro figure has to say about him? What did you think of the interview? Let us know below, and sound off in the Energon Pub forums!
(We would again like to thank Kevin Lukis of Unicron.com for the content).
Thanks to a tweet from the Twitter account of Honda Japan, of all accounts, we have our first look at the upcoming release of Masterpiece Skids! This actually makes sense when you take into account that Skids' altmode is a Honda, the City Turbo model to be exact. As you can see in the photos below, Skids looks to be far more toy accurate (right down to the shoulder detail looking like the stickers from the G1 toy) than has been the standard for the last several Masterpiece releases. Whether this is due to Skids' scant cartoon appearances, a change in direction for the line, or something else entirely remains to be seen. Enough chatter, feast your eyes on this prototype!
When translated, the tweet states that the images were published today (Thursday in Japan) in Figure King Magazine #277.
Now that we have our first clear look at the figure, what are you thinking? Is Skids now a must have? Holding out for the (inevitable) retool into Crosscut? Let us know what you think of these images below!
Greetings Seibertronians! Thanks to a tweet by Super7, the officially licensed manufacturer of Transformers ReAction and Transformers Ultimates figures, we now know the next two waves of the Ultimates line, and it incudes a few surprises. Yes, we have already spoiled one of them in the post header.
To jog your memory:
Wave 1:
Ghost of Starscream
Optimus Prime
Bombshell
Banzai-tron
(All G1)
So yes, Tarn will be getting immortalised in plastic once again, allowing those who would like an official representation of him (if just non-transforming) on their shelves.
Will you be picking up any of these?

Greetings Seibertronians! In news from the more general licensing side of the Transformers franchise, the new Transformers Monopoly game (reported here), has had it's Walmart.com listing updated with new stock images, showing off what you get in this version of the beloved game.
As said before, the game's artwork features more the evergreen style.
Here's the game's description as given by Walmart:
In this exciting twist on the Monopoly game, players enter the world of Transformers and imagine traveling between Earth and Cybertron as a heroic Autobot or evil Decepticon. Greetings Seibertronians! Well it's been a long and wild ride since it was revealed that the first HasLab Transformer project, the chaos bringer himself, Unicron, was successfully funded. Now though, the final update has been sent to the backers of this gargantuan Transformer, asking them to verify their addresses, and that Unicron will be shipping out in late March!

So soon, the backers will be able to bask in the ultimate version of the iconic character, just in time to celebrate the films 35th anniversary (along side the Studio Series 86 figures)
Thats not all though, as over on HasbroPulse.com, they've posted the fifth installment of their own update about Unicron, in the form of a behind the scenes documentary. The documentary shows us how the parts are assembled and painted, all the way to being placed in the boxes big enough for Solid Snake to stealth in.
With Unicron inbound, it seems some have been lucky enough to have been given one as youtube toy reviewer, Hobbymizer, has posted a preview to their YouTube channel, promising the review to drop on February 8th. Check out the teaser below.
Special thanks to users Sabrblade, Regimus Prime, and Dominus Prime for sharing these bits of news with us.
Are you one of the lucky people getting Unicron? Share your pictures of this titanic event in the Energon Pub, as we all celebrate his arrival, and that of the the animated movies 35th anniversary!

Greetings Seibertronians! Site sponsor, Entertainment Earth, has revealed some new items from Super7! The figures are an expansion on their ReAction line. These four non-transforming, articulated figures stand 7" tall and come with accessories.
The intriguing part of this is the character selection. Optimus Prime is a given, but the next two are a blast from the past for those who remember/collect Action Masters: Banzai-tron and Bombshell! While of course Bombshell was introduced before as the leader of the Insecticons, this figure is directly inspired by the European only Action Naster release, down to the Scarab robot Needler! Banzai-tron on the other hand, first appeared as an Action Master, but captured fans imagination enough that he went on to appear in other Transformers media. Like Bombshell, he also comes with his robot partner, Razor-sharp.
Lastly, we have the Ghost of Starscream, recreating the character when he makes his glorious return in Season 3 of the original cartoon! Starscream even comes with a different head so you can re-create his G1 toy look of you so wished.
Description: There is no better way to roll out a new collection of Transformers than with the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime! Based on his look from the original G1 cartoon, this 7" highly-articulated deluxeaction figure is made-to-order and includesa variety of unique interchangeable parts, like his G1 toy-accurate head, Sideswipe's jetpack, a surfboard, and a basketball! Recreate Optimus Prime's basketball game from "The Master Builders" episode, catch a giant wave as seen in "The Ultimate Doom,"or get him under control with Energon restraints as seen in "SOS Dinobots!" His amazing set of accessories also include an Energon Axe, Matrix of Leadership, and Ion Blaster. Last but certainly not least, Optimus Prime is accompanied by a miniature Spike Witwicky!
Description: This master of Crystalocution will dismantle you in seconds then sell off your scraps! Based on the original Transformers Action Master figure from the ‘90s, Banzai-Tron comes with his Action Master partner Razor-Sharp, and his Photon Neutralizer that combine to form his massive Semi-Automatic Gun! This 7-inch highly-articulated deluxe action figure ismade-to-order and includes a variety of interchangeable parts.
Description: Don't bug out, but Insecticon baddie Bombshell is just itching to use his cerebro-shells to start causing mayhem! Based on the original Transformers European Action Master figure from the ‘90s, Bombshell is accompanied by his Robot Scarab partner Needler! This 7-inch highly-articulated deluxe action figure is made-to-order and includes a variety of interchangeable parts, like his Twin Ion Impulse Blasters and Short Burst Stinger Rifle.
Description: It's your old buddy Starscream! Once relegated to the Decepticon Crypt, now the Ghost of Starscream is free to haunt your Transformers lineup. Based on the episode "Starscream's Ghost" from the original The Transformers cartoon, Starscream returns as a sparkling robo-ghost after being blasted into oblivion by Galvatron in The Transformers: The Movie. This figure features glitter injected directly into the translucent plastic to achieve this hauntingly beautiful, sparkly look. This 7-inch highly-articulated deluxe action figure is made-to-order and includes a variety of interchangeable parts, such as a G1 toy-accurate head.
What do you think of these figures? Are you happy to see the Action Masters remembered like this? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!
