The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back to discuss the latest news out of San Diego Comic Con and PulseCon 2025 panels. Your host ScottyP is joined by Counterpunch, Kuhlio, and Megatronus to drink from the SDCC firehose, and decide what collaborations are hot (wheels) and what's not MOTU be.
Episode #380 “SDCC 2025” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- We begin - and spend the bulk of our time - discussing the Age of the Primes and Studio Series reveals, including combiner team members, Primes, TF:One, and Bayverse. But one reveal in particular is SURE to please:
- Beyond Titan Age of Extinction Grimlock, the biggest surprise came in the smallest package: a mini-con Star Saber team packaged in with an Armada Nemesis Prime. He seems a bit blue.
- We didn't expect to love the freshly announce Hot Wheels collaboration, and the potential for new ideas this crossover represents. We did, however, expect the MOTU costume party to fall flat.
- An honorable mention for the G1 Retro Brawn, and especially the new mold of Seaspray.
- We wrap up the episode as we always do, with a robust round of Bragging Rights.

We've known for a while now that 2026 would see the main Age of the Primes line get two Commanders in exchange for Studio Series getting the Titan for the year (which we now know is Age of Extinction Grimlock). We new one of the Commanders would be Onslaught to finish out the Combaticons, but the second Commander remained a mystery. Thanks Jtprime17 over on
TFW2005 we now know the second Commander will be Armada Jetfire! He'll be a perfect companion piece for the previous Commander Armada Optimus Prime. Time will tell just how well he fits the price point.
TRA GEN PRIMES CMDR 2 (Armada Jetfire)
Product Number: G1972
Are you excited for a new Jetfire to finish out Prime's jet pants? And for that matter are you hoping for Hasbro to give Armada Prime a rerelease in 2026? Let us know in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

Below are the preorder links from Amazon and Pulse for the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker and Twin Mill Transformer Figures. The price is 14% higher in the US than in Canada, where they are sold at the standard deluxe MSRP, and it is unsure if it’s because of tariffs, which have also seen price increases for Lego sets sold to US customers, or if the Amazon.ca price is a fortunate mistake.

Mattel and Hasbro announced at SDCC 2025 the Masters of the Universe X Transformers cross over figures. The two figures that announced are "Bumblebee Armor Man-At-Arms" and "Megatron Armor Skeletor."
These figures are based on the Masters of the Universe Classics 5.5 inch scale that have 16 points of articulation. The figures are made so that body parts can easily be switched between each other. A mini-comic pack in will provide a background story to the crossover, much line the original MOTU line!
The figures should be available Fall of 2025 at $32.99 each.

Transformers BotBots Series 2 Toy Galleries Now Online!
They’re tiny. They’re ridiculous. They’re hiding in your backpack, your fridge, your pencil case... and now they’re invading Seibertron.com!
We’re excited to announce the full gallery rollout for
Transformers BotBots Series 2, featuring over 60 individual characters from Hasbro’s most bizarre and imaginative sub-line. Whether you're a hardcore collector, a curious fan, or just love seeing Transformers disguised as pizza, plungers, or perfume bottles, there’s something in here to make you laugh, cringe, and maybe even collect.
Series 2 of the BotBots line debuted in 2019, continuing the quirky chaos introduced in Series 1. These 1-inch PVC-plastic robots transform in just a few steps from household or store-themed items into tiny mischief-makers. Each character belongs to a team—like the Greaser Gang, Sugar Shocks, Spoiled Rottens, or Toilet Troop—loosely based on fictional departments of a mall or store. And yes, many of these bots look like things you'd find on a shelf at Walgreens or lurking in your kitchen junk drawer.
BotBots were sold in blind-bag singles, themed 5-packs and 8-packs, and special editions like the Surprise Unboxing sets. Hasbro intentionally included character repeats across multiple packages, encouraging trades and swaps among kids (or relentless completionism among adult collectors). And with Series 2’s new teams like the Swag Stylers and Techie Team joining returning favorites, there’s no shortage of oddball personalities to meet.
Every BotBot in Series 2 has now been fully photographed and added to the Seibertron.com Toy Galleries—complete with robot and alt mode shots, detailed poses, and high-quality images that show off their unique charm. From King Candyhooves to TP Itch, they’re all here.
Keep checking back as we continue expanding the BotBots gallery archive and documenting this wonderfully weird chapter in Transformers toy history.

Great news for Transformers Armada fans, Hasbro has revealed Nemesis Prime at SDCC 2025. And he comes with the Star Saber, which is made up of 3 minicons like the original. This will be a Pulsecon exclusive and sell for $75 USD. You can check out the product description and a slew of images which include renders, the prototype shown at SDCC and official stock images which should resemble the final product.
Here is the info from Gamestop:
https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-h ... 0-6533366/
One of the sought-after action figures for Transformers fans will be a new Nemesis Prime, straight from the Transformers Armada series. This $75 Voyager-class figure comes packaged with his Mini-Con partners: Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar.
Similarly to his previous incarnations, Nemesis Prime resembles Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Hellbent on destroying all Transformers, he appeared in several episodes of the Armada series and had the ability to regenerate from even lethal amounts of damage. This new action figure of Nemesis Prime can convert between robot and truck mode in around 21 steps, and his Mini-Cons can transform into an airline, jet airliner, and space shuttle modes. When combined, the Mini-Cons can also transform into a powerful saber weapon.
For accessories, Nemesis Prime comes equipped with two blasters and a cannon that can also be combined into a powerful weapon, and he has a Matrix of Leadership accessory that can fit inside of his chest compartment.

Hot off the heels of Bone Shaker yesterday: Twin Mill has raced ahead of the SDCC 2025 reveals for the Hot Wheels x Transformers Crossover figures.
Twin Mill was shown at Toy Fair 2025, however this is first official photography that has been shown, including an in package shot, which makes this figure look to be the size of a standard Hot-Wheel based on the peg and packaging layout.
Also rather than carrying a big stick, these photos seem to confirm that Twin Mill will include blast effects (your mileage may vary).
Twin Mill looks to be a crazy Hot Wheels concept car with dual engine intakes that double as wrist cannons.

Just before the panels at SDCC 2025 this weekend the announced HotWheels x Transformers Crossover Bone Shaker figure has had official pictures hit online!
We first saw a glimpse Bone Shaker at Toy Fair 2025, but these are the first official photographs to come out. Hopefully the otherr crossover figure, Twin Mill will be following suit soon!
There should be more information at the Transfomer's Panel this Friday July 26th, and rumor is that Bone Shaker will go up for pre-order on Saturday July 27th.

Walmart.com has updated with new
stock photos of Retro G1-Inspired Brawn from their exclusive Collector Con release this Friday. As we've already seen from the previous leak, Brawn will be fairly close to the original figure including a new head sculpt. Like Seaspray, Brawn is expected to release in October, and also like Seaspray his price has jumped up to $30.
Are you planning on getting these and is the price increase a deal breaker? Let us know in the Seibertron Energon Pub Forums!

Stock photos for the Earthspark Deluxe Spitfire and Cosmos have been revealed.
Spitfire is a repaint of the Earthspark Deluxe Twitch so it should look stunning next to Aftermath.
Cosmos is a new mold (looking quite beefy in that Earthspark packaging).
Both of them look like they are very true to their cartoon appearances.
No word on when these will be available, and hopefully they will be easier to find that Soundwave and Hashtag that have been trickling out to stores since late May.

Walmart has launched the
store page for their long anticipated exclusive Retro G1-Inspired Seaspray figure. The figure will be part of their Collector Con on July 24 and go on sale at 7am PT with actual release expected in October. This appears to be an entirely new, never before seen before mold which may make it a harder figure to get than the previous releases in this line, Gears and Bumblebee.
The following description is on the page:
Re-experience the nostalgia of your favorite G1 action figures with the Transformers Retro Autobot Seaspray toy! Toy converts from robot to boat in 22 steps. Seaspray displays a zest for his job unmatched by fellow Autobots. He loves the ocean and its creatures, and he loves the thrill of naval battle. Transformers Retro G1 action figures feature vintage styling, accessories, and special package art and tech specs. Clip out and save the on-box tech specs to share, then see how this figure stacks up against other heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons.
Meanwhile, TFW2005 has posted what is likely our first look at Brawn in the line based on SS86 Brawn. Like the rest of the line he'll be in G1 toy colors, but unlike Bumblebee will feature a new toy-style head. This does not appear to be part of the Collector Con so it's anyone's guess when it'll be available to order.
Let us know what you think of these figures over in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

The Tiny Gods You Never Asked For
While finishing the long-overdue work on the revised toy gallery section, I wrapped up a trio of galleries that have been sitting unfinished for over seven years. These diminutive demigods from Power of the Primes Wave 1 have been waiting their turn since before the Bumblebee movie and the War for Cybertron Trilogy ever happened, and now they finally join the ranks of completed galleries.
Today I posted full galleries of the
Liege Maximo,
Vector Prime, and
Micronus Prime Masters. Were these galleries highly anticipated? Not really. But they were almost finished back then, so here they are now, ready for you to marvel at or quietly ignore.
Each of these Prime Masters comes with decoy armor inspired by G1 Pretenders - Skullgrin, Metalhawk, and Cloudburst - and each transforms into a little square plug that bestows the "power of your imagination" on whatever larger figure you attach it to. You know, in case your imagination needed help.
Here is the breakdown:
- Liege Maximo comes with Skullgrin armor and a claw weapon.
- Vector Prime comes with Metalhawk armor and a cannon.
- Micronus comes with Cloudburst armor and a gatling gun.
For reference, here are the galleries of the original G1 Pretenders that inspired these designs:
-
G1 Pretender Skullgrin Gallery
-
G1 Pretender Metalhawk Gallery
-
G1 Pretender Cloudburst Gallery
They may not be the biggest, the flashiest, or the most beloved figures in Transformers history, but at least they are finally done. So please, enjoy these galleries - if only to help me justify finishing them.
Full galleries:

Hallmark has released the next two keepsake ornaments for this year's holiday season just in time for Christmas in July.
"Hasbro Transformers Megatron's Might Ornament" is this years offering for Transformers and features a G1 Megatron with the Decepticon Insignia.
Transfomers will also be added to the Car's the Star Keepsake Ornament Series. This time the 2007 Movie bumblebee takes center stage in vehicle mode displaying as Uncle Bobby B would say "Custom Paintwork." This time though, Sam would be jealous for the car is polished missing any damage or "Custom fade."
Megatron and
Bumblebee are available via Hallmark's website now, and we already have some in hand pics!
Here are the in-hand photos thanks to xRotorstormx

Robosaur Triceratops — Vintage Knock-Off Mystery
We don’t normally feature knock-offs or third-party products here on Seibertron.com, but every now and then a piece of Transformers-adjacent history shows up that’s too quirky to ignore. This vintage oddity — which we’re calling
Robosaur Triceratops — definitely earns that distinction.
This toy is a poor-quality knock-off of the original
G1 Dinobot Slag, sold under the product line name
Robosaur, with the tagline:
"A futuristic dinosaur that changes into a powerful robot."
We don’t know the manufacturer or exact origin of this item, but it was likely released sometime in the 1980s (or possibly 1990s). The packaging itself simply calls it
Triceratops, while encouraging collectors to “Collect all these other exciting changing robots!” — showing off knock-off versions of Grimlock (“Tyranosaurus”) and Sludge (“Brontosaur”) on the back of the box. It may also have been marketed in some regions under the
Dinosaur Robo name, but clear information is scarce.
This figure is clearly a low‑end reproduction of the Dinobot mold, sporting some unique colors and several cost‑cutting oddities — like having no face, no lower dinosaur jaw, and even no hands. We thought this vintage knock‑off was too quirky not to share, both as a curiosity and a conversation starter. If you know more about its origins — who manufactured it, where it was sold, or how it connects to other KO lines — we invite you to share your insights or speculation in the
comments on the Energon Pub forums.

Robosaur Triceratops just a cheap curiosity, or does it have a story waiting to be uncovered? Share your knowledge, theories, or even memories of seeing one of these in the wild in the discussion below!

While packing up orders at the Seibertron Store and digging through my photo archives, I was reminded just how much I enjoy the oddities of Generation 2. Bright colors, unusual chrome, and unexpected variants — G2 was full of surprises, and today's feature is one of the most distinctive.
Earlier today, I posted a brand new gallery of the
Generation 2 Seaspray (Purple Chrome Variant). This version of Seaspray swaps the standard blue chrome for an eye-catching purple finish. While it is certainly uncommon, its origins are unknown to me. If you have any information or sources about this version of Seaspray, please let me know — I’d love to learn more about it, and I’m sure many of you would as well.
This particular purple Seaspray came from my youngest brother's Transformers collection, which he gave me about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't recall when or where he originally got it, as most of his Transformers came from the early 2000s. If any of you also have this version of Seaspray in your collection, I'd love to hear where you found yours —
feel free to share your story!
To help tell Seaspray's story, I included comparison shots with:
-
G1 Seaspray
-
G2 Seaspray (regular blue chrome)
-
G2 Bumblebee,
Hubcap, and
Beachcomber (other G2 Mini-Bots)
-
G1 blue Cliffjumper (another uncommon international variant)
These comparisons show just how much this purple chrome version stands out among the Mini-Bots. Who produced it? Why does it exist? Where was it distributed? Those questions are still open, but it's another fascinating chapter in Transformers history.
