Well that's just awesome! I must've missed that picture. This actually makes me want Magnus a lot more now. Shockwave is still the leader I want first but I'll probably get Magnus or the Optimus retool/repaint of him.

Soundwave's gonna be the firt figure in this line that I try to mess with removing battle damage from, simply because of his chest compartment. That's the only area I have issue with because it just looks... Weird, seeing Soundwave with that much damage when some of the Bots I'd expect to be in more battles like Megs have such minimal battle damage that it's that not too bad unless you're looking. I hope he gets the Magnus treatment with the amount being toned down before release, but I doubt that's happening because these look final and ready to ship

Sixgun and Starscream are obvious must haves for me.

I'm going to skip on Soundwave because WTF am I looking at? There's no way this pile of random garbage is his altmode. Look like someone tried to transform the thing and gave up halfway through.

It's because they didn't think it would make sense for him to literally turn into a cassette player given the whole "pre-Earth" thing for this line, and they didn't think "Cybertronian lamp post" would be a compelling official alternate mode to people that aren't aware of the source of that.

Basically, he transforms into the lamp post, but because they felt they needed something more "exciting" for the general audience and kids, they reconfigured it a bit into a "spaceship".

I think one of the Hasbro guys said it's a Cybertron patrol Ship. Why they didn't make him a truck like the War + Fall games is beyond me.

I can poop a better looking spaceship than that. Now we are back at the movieverse "Cybertronian" random crap. The most shocking is Sixgun, Starscream, and Shockwave are Cybertronian spaceships and they ROCK their altmodes.


Soundwave could have taken a clue from an alternate universe. that same bot mode could easily have been a square tank of some sort. Way more appropriate for the character. And a genius designer would have squeezed in a "secret" tape-deck "fan-mode".

Soundwave's alt mode is what most spacecraft look like in the (technically) Siege comic. I'm guessing they did that to make Soundwave stand out less.

To be fair, the Soundwave in this pic is mistransformed, his legs/waist are the wrong way around. There's a cockpit on the other side of his waist, and panels on the legs that fold out and hide the fact that they're legs a bit more. So credit where credit's due, you're right, they did kinda give up before they finished transforming it.

Same with the Chromia pics, she's mistransformed in both modes even. When they initially showed her off at Con her head wasn't visible at all in alt mode.

In that case, I'll wait for someone competent and not lazy to transform that Soundwave properly so that we see what he really look like. Because having Ravage and Lazerbeak in a convenient two-pack is a pretty good incentive.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Hasbro's stock photographers couldn't be trusted to reliably transform a Jumpstarter

Im a bit curious of what they will do to Grand Slam and Raindance on the SIEGE line but im a bit concern to them if they dont have cassette(?) modes

and im not sure if theyre going to use Skytread as a mold but it needs a reverse engineering method (Tank = Torso, Jet = legs)

We have Sixgun, i doubt there is a possible Slammer by now.

But Chromia has the other VHS, visible hand syndrome, when transformed properly. And unlike her PotP counterparts there's no extra part to hide them.

And I'm saying you're wrong, the inside of Ironhide is silver, what looks like the white backdrop inside his chest is just bad photo lighting reflecting on the silver plastic on the inside of his back.



You can not see through the figure.

There is no hole in the back.



If there were a hole, you'd see the cardboard backdrop through the window.

Definitely an easy mistake to make, it's a terrible photo. As far as the back goes I'm fine with it as long as it serves a purpose. Like if the head goes there in alt mode then okay, but I'll admit if it's hollow for the sake of hollow then I'll be annoyed.

Edit: just realised that you can clearly see the head in the stock images so obviously it doesn't tuck into the back but it can still serve some purpose.

I hope Repro makes an old timey Diaclone face sticker we can put at the back of Ironhide's cavity.... and as I write this I find myself wondering if his head can fold down into the cavity to make a sort of G1 derp mode.

You know, I really don't like that Prowl. I don't like the way he looks in either mode, something is very off. And plus I already have a CHUG Prowl that fits the bill well enough (combiner Wars Prowl with that wicked headsculpt). Since I am also not getting Chromia, its not like I was completing the line anyway. If I want to experience that mold, I will simply get Barricade. Plus in my collection that will make him more unique as being a crossover figure and not just a Prowl clone.

For me personally I think there's too much white. I know Prowl is supposed to be white but there's a bit too much. The headlights don't help that either by also being white but with a small splash of yellow. I would've preferred if they were that bluish silver from the CW one as it would've helped to break it up. Also the off center auto badge bugs the crap out of me, but that might just be me.

I will still be getting him because overall I think he looks good, I'm just hoping toyhax helps us out.

I'm sure you can find a way to move his limbs to approximate a boombox.

However, what he does have is a StreetLamp mode. Better than a boombox in book.

As soon as I get Stakeout, he is headed straight for my Wreckers shelf.

And dang, I love that Pteraxadon. The animals are making the best Battlemasters so far!

Looks like Ravage isn't skipping arm day.

I have plans to make Pteraxadon the weapon for my POTP Grimlock.

Blue transparent plastic would have helped break up the legs too. Prowl is easily the least successful of the Siege Deluxes so far. I'm hoping Reprolabels can come through and correct some of the missing paint/sticker details.

Damn that was fast! I just got my shipment today. Feels good buying Transformers deluxes for 9 bucks again.

Siege Shockwave's cyclopean eye has finally been spotted in Target at U.S retail by Twitter user @Jwilson011895 in Georgetown, central Texas. Joining earlier sightings his wave-mates Battle Masters Firedrive, Lionizer and Blowpipe with Deluxe Sideswipe, Cog, Hound, Skytread and Voyagers Optimus Prime and Megatron. This also means Ultra Magnus is out in the wild, too, being Shockwave's Autobot Leader-Class wave-mate.
