Interesting...Would like to see some prototype pics first. However, those are some really silly names...Broomstick? Minute Bot? Really?

They are intended to be silly references to the figures they are mode to go with.

HAHAHAHA
Shot Piece HAS to be a reference to Dr Smoov's "The Rude Awakening of Optimus Prime"
oh God I have to watch that again

Hells yeah for "Shot Piece"!

It looks like they will be fairly articulated, so I'm hopeful these will be good for our Classics (et al) collections. I'll hopefully order each of these figures.

and hopefully, nothing happens to Galvatron right up his keister.

I've been watching these designs as they were created, and I have to say, I'm looking forward both to owning these and to carrying another great MasterShooter product. They look terrific!

They all seem to be composed of 2 different kinds of parts. All the same head, 2 different torsos, 2 different arms, 2 different types of legs all swapped up between the 4 different figures.
Still I'm getting them for my Classics guys. I hope they give them different heads at least.

the added articulation is nice, but I was really disappointed with the "Megatron" Mega-Gun I got. Granted, that was essentially v1 and these are looking like v2. But robots with a giant cannon sticking out their arse just doesn't do it for me…

So if anyone is wanting a Mega-Gun… complete and repackaged?

This. In fact the two Megatron figures where about 35$+shipping, and they both looked raw and unfinished.
As I am living in Europe, I might go for the Shapeways route: the Drawn-steel hero designs look amazing. I'm a bit concerned about possible rub issues on the painted ball joints, though...

Actually, it looks like two different heads as well. One has eyes and sharper edges on the detailing while the other has a visor and more rounded detailing.

I'm holding Mega-Gun right now, as well as some parts I had printed on Shapeways. How can you compare the two and call MasterShooter's product raw and unfinished? It's smooth ABS plastic verses whatever that rough stuff Shapeways prints with. He is blocky, but then so was G1 Megatron in the cartoon. How is he "raw and unfinished"?

This is exactly what we needed, targertroids & those Micron targetmasters were a waste of time & they where horrible. The only flaw in these I see is Scourges tm, in the cartoon his gun was upside version of Cyclonus & the colors was flipped. I think now his gun is gonna look just like Cyclonus now, but it's still worth getting.

Is that the Targetroid Megs your referring to or that other 3rd party and it looked like a small version of Megatron and was available in two different colors...I think. I didn't like the Targetroids but I've been wondering about the other 3rd party fig, I never saw the release. :???: :VEHI:

It would be the others you are thinking of, not the Targetroids. They were released, but you may have missed it due to them being exclusive to Captured Prey. The link is here: http://www.capturedprey.com/store/maste ... king_2pack

Well that seems about right. After months searching ebay and spending up to £100 on Targetmasters and Minicons from here, there and everywhere in preperation for some custom paint work; NOW a 3rd party company gets round to making these. Typical.

The robot modes look pretty good with the extra articulation, but the weapon modes are little too G1 accurate for my likings, i.e. fugly.

It's always that way. I bought the Shapeways guys who are pretty darn good, but you have to paint them. The Shapeways are way better detailed, but the molded color is really the best.

You are right, sorry, it was a poor choice of words. By the way I was referring to the design, not to the material. Sure Mega Gun - which I know just from Peaugh's review - is casted in high quality plastic, better than Shapeways' nylon - or whatever that stuff is. Yet the design and the paint aps don't really work for me, I find them too simplicistic.
So I'd rather print the Drawn-Steel-Hero's ones and paint them myself, but it's just my opinion of course.

I love targetmasters but not enough to pay 3rd party prices for them.
I rather get another hexatron instead of a set of these 3rd party targetmasters. i'm more of a quality over quanity type TF fan.

2 years ago, when there was only like 5 3rd party joints to keep up with, I would have preordered these without thought. But now, I'm going to need to know price and quality before really considering these little guys. I like 'em, they would look great with their intended partners, but for god sakes people, slow down!

Not to mention they are basically 2 designs swapped around. 2 upper torsos and 2 lower halves. Not even one product on the market and already "repaints".

Those worrying about quality need not do so. Mega-Gun was nice and solid. These just look iffy because they are 3D prints. 3D prints are never as good as injection molding, which the finished product will be.

No doubt 3d prints are grainy and what not. I actual forgot about the Targetroids that came out earlier. These are the same guys huh?
