The funny part being that you could actually do that with the original toy. In fact, I thought that was the intended configuration way back when I was 6, but did Devy ever do that in any media?Black Hat wrote:Using the excavator scoop as a "knuckleduster" is absolute genius.
Though thinking of the original toy makes those grape thunder-thighs all the more jarring, since it didn't exactly have distinct thighs, the way Scrapper and Mixmaster just snapped onto the lower wing.
This toy stands squarely in my will-never-own-in-a-million-years, but-still-very-happy-to-see-its-existence category!

Gotta say, I like Thundercracker more than Starscream. The colors are so much nicer on him

I've really dropped the ball on botbots as accessories

Flame Toys is one of the biggest makers of licensed model kits, and earlier this evening on Facebook, they announced a new line called "Furai Action", which are intended to cater to fans who like the look of model kit figures, but can't always spend the time to assemble and paint them. This new line will be shipped with the figure already assembled and painted in the box, with premium paint jobs and figure stands, so you can pose and enjoy them right out of the box- if my understanding of their announcement is correct. Their first figure in this line will be an IDW styled Optimus Prime, who appears to come with three sets of hands and his ever trusty ion blaster.

While the announcement of preorders wasn't entirely clear, it appears that preorders will start soon, be taken until December 15th, and be released in February of 2020. No word yet on pricing.
So what do you think of this new line, especially if you're a fan of model kits? Let us know your thoughts on this new line below, and stay tuned for more exciting Transformers news on Seibertron!

Up first, we have box art for 2 of the upcoming/currently being released kits. The Skywarp kit is the 3rd use of this Seeker kit, following his usual mates Starscream and Thundercracker. He appears here in his signature dark purple and black, and his box art features a pretty nice piece of art of Skywarp blasting away. He is currently making his way out to stores. We also have the box art for the upcoming Drift kit, which is based on his initial IDW 2005 body style, ready to take the fight to the Decepticons on the blasted city streets.
After that, we also have new images of the upcoming IDW Optimus Prime kit that comes fully assembled and painted. The new images show us the box, some poses, and also the stand that he will come with to help pose it up and fight the Decepticons!

This Optimus Prime is a large extremely posable action figure that is a stylized version of his G1 body complete with a few movie and animated touches. He includes light up eyes and chest, and features a glowing matrix inside his opening chest. The figure is gorgeously detailed and painted, and includes a plethora of accessories.
He retails for around $450 and is set to ship out any time now, now that the final samples have been received. Check out the final in hand images of the sample below, and let us know if you will be picking this guy up below!

Why does he wear a diaper?

This new kit follows in the footsteps of other Furai kits that include highly stylized figures like Attack Mode Optimus Prime and Starscream, and IDW bots like Autobot Megatron and Drift. The kit is a simpler model kit that is great for beginners, and provides a highly posable action figure.
This kit is a take on the G1 cartoon Optimus Prime, featuring some bright colors and some cartoon-esque weapons, such as his energon axe and rifle. The figure is highly posable, as is the norm, and with the special stylization, he appears younger than you might expect an Optimus to look, almost like he is a newly minted Optimus Prime.
The figure is currently preparing to go up for Pre-order, so keep an eye open! Let us know what you think in the comments section below, and stay tuned for more Flame Toys news!

Devastator is the largest Furai kit that has been released so far, standing tall and bulky and showing off his numerous construction vehicle components. He is highly stylized, similar to the Attack Mode Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Bumblebee molds. Some of his features include Scavenger's bucket being used as a punching addition, Hook's crane being used as a cannon, and a really sweet head sculpt.
He is retailing for around $80, and you can place an order for him from our various site sponsors, listed below.

Seriously, those proportions are horrendous. At least Bumblebee was normal and awesome looking. But now, diapers or big "porn-star" packages (looking at you, Starscream...) everywhere.
I need to at least try to find that Bee for a reasonable price. I consider it to be a MP Action Masters Bee.

Also, G1 Prime looks better than I thought it would!
