Though not shown in this picture, Gnaw is a new mold, and part of this Wave. Wave 13 also consists of ROTF Bumblebee, first released in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line; as well as a repack of Jazz.
Are you going to be on a lookout for the electrifying Autobot- especially now that he finally has a screen accurate head? Passing on this figure? Let us know in the Energon Pub forums!

I really like the render they picked for ROTF Bee, I remember that one specifically from a 3D sticker sheet I had when ROTF came out. The Buzzworthy version used a render of the 07 version of Bee, so I'm glad they fixed that for this release.
I hope we get those shoulder rocket launchers from the render as an accessory at some point!

Thew render is the only thing that Bee has going for it. Its incredibly small, smaller than Kingdom Jazz, transformation is awkward at best, he doesn’t tab in correctly in vehicle mode, and he’s just not that fun to mess around with. Sam is completely pointless.

I have the Buzzworthy release, I really think it's the best deluxe movie Bee. Transformation takes a bit to get used to, but the figure overall, especially in robot mode, is awesome.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with that assessment. Takara's MBM DotM Bee I think takes that award. Some may not like the black spoiler, but other than that it uses the updated DotM movie mold with a great paint.

I don't see what so good about a teeny tiny Deluxe bee with super loose hips and an awkward transformation that doesn't let him tab in properly in vehicle mode.
Had he been 15% larger he would have been real good, and probably avoided the tabbing issues in car mode.
He's barely o.k at best, but has some real issues.

If size is the main complaint when comparing DOTM against SS, then SS will always come up short (pun alert). SS are all designed to be as close to in scale with the rest of the SS line as possible, not the previous toylines. There was a noticable decrease in size of the movie toys somewhere between DOTM and TLK with Studio Series being pretty close to scale with TLK and sharing some molds.
So far all the SS Bee's except 1 have been the same general size. If this was your first venture into SS for Bee, and your only other experience with the movie lines was pre SS, I can see where your comments are coming from. The one exception is SS79 High Octane Bee, and that is out of scale (just a little bigger than the other SS Bees) because they went cheap and re-used the AoE mold
For the transformation and tabbing together, are you sure you didn't just get a defective one, are are maybe missing a step somewhere? Mine tabs together just fine and most others who have the mold haven't mentioned any problems either. I haven't messed with it in a while, so I can take a look and see if there is something that might cause the tabbing issue you are having.

Fair point. Yes, I had not picked up anything from SS prior to this BB. As much as like the original figures and TLK Megs, SS just never did anything for me. I have been trying to get a cheap SS-32 or 44.

Maybe I am missing a step, but the doors simply won't tab in no matter what I try. Not sure how far the feet need to be slid in, but it seems no matter what I do the doors won't sit flush with the body.
I can only manage to get one to tab in fully, but the other one just pops out of both the fender slot and the roof tab.

Here is what it looks like all the way pushed in from the other side.
Here is what both legs from the first photo look like from above tucked under the roof. On the left, the black foot is just starting to peek out from under the roof. On the right there is plenty of clearance under the roof. That is where the clear inside portion of the doors need to sit to have everything tab in.
Hopefully this does the trick for you. As a heads up, mine almost had the opposite problem. Mine was in a bin in car mode for a while and the door part and the rear fenders that stay on his legs did not want to let go of each other. I had to work them free a little bit.

I don’t think Sideswipe was supposed to be available till later this year, but there he is! He has a new backdrop, and his bio mentions Sideways.

LinaNui wrote:These two arrived from Target.com today! The Bee is another great use of that mold and is such a prefect version. My copy has no trouble tabbing together and it looks great. Jolt is one of the stand outs of the year for me. He is probably in my top 5 figures so far. I can't believe how accurate they got him, but I do hope DNA makes some new whips for him. Now I think we only need The Fallen, Sideways, Demolishor, and the Twins for the RotF figures to be completed!
Nice! I just ordered Jolt from Target, expected to get here next week. I’m really excited!

I know my opinion and dollars mean diddly squat, but until I see actual product on shelves, they aren't getting squat from me monetarily.

First-Aid wrote:'Getting product on the shelves no matter what"? Bull@%#*!. Four WalMarts produced a GRAND COMBINED TOTAL of 5 Transformers figures. 4 Netflix and a Blackarachnia in a spread of four stores. Until I see full shelves, I'll believe Hasbro as much as I believe politicians. I actually believe Hasbro even less.

Makes sense, you can't give them any money cause there's nothing to buy. But remember, everyone's situation is different. While your stores may suck, others are seeing new product in their stores. It means the product has been reaching the companies that ordered them. Hasbro can't do much after that, it's Walmart and target that then decide which stores to send the product to. And we just know it's not your store right now.

Thanks. Its seems to almost want to peg in now but It still seems the foot cannot be slid all the way in as it interferes with the roof hinge if it is. Guess it's a bit of an acquired feel for where it's supposed to be slid in.

Yes, put it in a bin and don't use it.
That mold is a fiddly mess no matter what you do.
