The Autobot Leader Optimus Prime charges back into battle with a new alternate mode, a new design, and new weapons. This 10-inch tall Optimus Prime movie figure comes with the mighty Sword of Judgment and the battle-forged Sentinel Shield. Kids can imagine they're defending Earth with the heroic Autobot leader. This is also your first chance to bring home a figure inspired by the Transformers: Age of Extinction movie. It's not only the first edition of Optimus Prime, it's the first Age of Extinction edition of any Transformers robot!

Battle Decepticons and Defend Earth with Optimus Prime

he Autobots were perilously close to a destiny-altering defeat in the Battle of Chicago. Their leader, Optimus Prime, suffered heavy damage, but managed to survive the battle, dealing a crushing blow to his arch-nemesis Megatron in the process. While the Decepticon leader may have fallen, new threats have risen in his place. If the Autobots are to defend the planet they have sworn to protect, they must find a way to defeat powerful new enemies. In a world where their standing is more uncertain than ever, one thing remains constant: their unyielding leader, Optimus Prime, will be at the forefront of the coming battle.

Changes in 15 Steps

This 10-inch-tall Optimus Prime figure converts from a robot warrior to a semi truck and back again. Change from robot to truck mode in 15 steps and roll out. Reverse the same 15 steps to change back to robot mode and gear up for battle with the included Sword of Judgment and Sentinel Shield. It's the first Optimus Prime figure to feature the Autobot Leader's look from Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Includes: Converting Optimus Prime figure, Sword of Judgment, Sentinel Shield and instructions.

Highlights

1. The first Optimus Prime figure from Transformers: Age of Extinction 2. Optimus Prime wields the mighty Sword of Judgment 3. Block Decepticon attacks with the Sentinel Shield 4. Converts from robot to truck and back again 5. This First Edition Optimus Prime figure stands 10 inches tall.

Sword of Judgement? Sentinel Shield?

Were these objects in any previous series, or are these completely original?

They seem new to me, and I'm guessing the shield has something to do with the actual Sentinel character from DotM. :-?

Sword of Judgment doesn't sound very Autoboty

Fits Movie Optimus though, I bet this is his execution sword and he uses it exclusively to chop heads off.

Unless it's the Autobot government of old (IDW verse), in which they weren't Autobots as such but a corrupt system with maniacal war-mongering leaders, using the same symbol.

Or it's these guys. Also possible.

Hem, now that I think about it. The movies do take place in one of many alternate universes. And the Autobots have turned more violent and unforgiving than in most other universes. Optimus does enjoy executing enemies.
Holy crap, Movie Optimus totally is a Dark Judge. Calling it now, this movie ends with Optimus going all "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, but true freedom can only be had when every sentient being is dead. Therefore we must kill everything to ensure peace!"

Would make sense.

That was one face, but if you look at all his fights, he always goes straight for the head, the man loves getting head.

He also beheaded Bonecrusher and sliced at/blasted Demolishor's head.

His rack is amazing, bigger than most. But he's very protective over it, you can touch them.

I was kinda surprised to see Optimus had basically no kibble in the actual movie trailer, given how much his toys have.

The trailer was alright, if not like a big run-on sentence. This 'first edition' Prime still looks like poo...

Y'know, for $60.00...they could've chromed all of his gray parts. Would've made the price justifiable. As is, he reeks of knock off. There's a bin at the 99 cent store just waiting for him, only to find out he's a legit product and everyone goes "Whoa. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K."

I can't believe I'm contemplating buying this figure. I kinda like the look of it but would prefer the face plate. DOTM Prime was good and I really liked the Deluxe version. I am intrigued by the 15 steps transformation.

There are two things that could possibly sway me to buy this figure:

A good video review with a nice transformation sequence.

&

A sale to clear out the overstock, which Amazon is known to do. A lot.

I won't pay full price for it, no way, no how. Plus, I'd like to see one without chrome. I think plain, painted plastic would work better. As is, this is just bad looking. Even if I could get past the mold, that deco hurts. So bad.
