Entertainment Earth is setting up their booth at SDCC and we get a better look at that tiny image they leaked the other day showing us the upcoming DK3 which is Diaclone Blue Trailbreaker. This is quite fun for fans who have a Diaclone collection represented by Transformers figures with modern day engineering. And of course, as Transformers toys were repaints of Diaclone toys back in 84 (you can see the original DK3 below), this Diaclone themed toy is a straight redeco of a Transformers toy. We thank TFanpage101 for the pic.

Thanks to a heads up from Nemesis Primal, we have news that the next Transformers Generations Selects figure may have just been revealed to us. This news comes courtesy of Entertainment Earth, who is preparing for San Diego Comic Con and is teasing many of the exclusives for the convention. Among them is the transformers exclusive, who, while in a small and grainy look, appears to be the rumored blue Trailbreaker repaint AKA DK3, another member of the Diaclone repaint club. While we don't get a good look, it is enough of a tease to get our appetites up, and we imagine a full reveal will be happening very soon.
This figure will likely begin as a SDCC exclusive before ending up on other fan channels, as other SDCC Selects figure have in the past.

As we get ready to close out the year, the Transformers Hall of Fame is ready to induct a few new members from 2019!
The 2019 Hall of Fame vote is now online, and you can find that vote HERE. The vote contains 2 different voting areas, one for a new fictional character to join the Hall of Fame Lineup, the other to induct a Hasbro Transformers figure from this year into the Hall of Fame. Don't worry, this vote is open to anyone and is not exclusive to social media sites, allowing anyone with an internet connection to vote.
This year, the vote is a little strange, with only 1984 cartoon cast members being on the vote. Amusingly, this vote does include little known character Hauler, who showed up only briefly in the cartoon but has become a fan favorite with a cult following.
Head on over to the vote, and let us know below who you voted to go into the Hall of Fame!
2019 CATEGORIES:
Favorite fictional character from the 1984 season of The Transformers animated television series.
2019 Transformers War for Cybertron Siege toy of the year.
See the official Facebook announcement with link to vote here!
Voting begins Tuesday, December 3 at 10am EST (TODAY!) and closes on Friday, December 7 at 11:59pm EST.
Winners of both categories will be announced on the Transformers Facebook page later this month.

Hasbro has been kind enough to send our very own Seibertron an SDCC version of Metroplex, and he's been working non-stop to bring us all more images to complement the massive retail Metroplex galleries! The photoshoot is not fully ready yet, but Ryan has put together a preview of what's to come, including unboxing and the information present on the package.
Take a look at the major features below, and check out some of the images already available! Come back later tonight or early tomorrow morning!for the full gallery, which will include tons of comparison pics to the retail version of Metroplex.
Bottom of box has sticker that says "01 of 30 Collect Them All" (see attachments)
Instructions are basically the same but new graphics and colors, also include artwork from box.
Stickers are identical but have "foil" finish
New or expanded bio:
METROPLEX
For centuries, METROPLEX slumbered, his form melded into the avenues of the great metropolis Iacon. His arsenal, hidden and dormant, lurked behind sealed hatches, the citizens of the vast city never suspecting the devastating power that slept beneath their feet. And yet METROPLEX listened, sensors open across the acres of his body, waiting for the call that would awaken him. Waiting for the order that would summon him forth to battle. Waiting for the last of the Primes.
War raged. Weapons of incredible power cratered and scarred the city around him. Thousands of Cybertronians lay shattered and deactivated in his streets. And still he waited, his Spark yearning for the call that would bring him to the defense of the defenseless millions who still called him home.
Finally, the last Prime came, and METROPLEX awakened. His shadow fell across the burning towers of Iacon. His weaponry revealed and unleashed apocalyptic vengeance on those who had assaulted his city. The DECEPTlCON® horde broke and fled before him. For the call of the Prime had been heard, and the last of the great Titans of CYBERTRON went to war.

While Metroplex tried his best to steal the show, he faced some stiff competition from the upcoming Generations line. The Voyager class will see the return of true triple changers with fan favorites Springer and Blitzwing. Both feature three excellently executed modes. We also learned that Hasbro has been working with IDW Publishing to bring their character designs to life in toy form. The upcoming Deluxes will come packed with their character's Transformers Spotlight comic. These figures include Trailcutter (aka Trailbreaker), Orion Pax, Bumblebee, and Megatron in his new stealth fighter body. We were also introduced to a new line of Legends Class figures who come packed with Targetmaster-like accessory. On Display were Optimus Prime with Roller and Bumblebee with Blazemaster. One of the yearly highlights for many BotCon attendees are the many panels featuring some of the key people who have helped shaped the Transformers franchise over the years. One such individual is Bob Budiansky, who was a former editor writer and occassional artist for the Transformers Marvel comics series. Mr. Budiansky was just the featured guest during the first of two panels which he will be involved with during the convention.
Here are some highlights, followed by some great images from Seibertron's camera.
*Bob explained his origins with the franchise, basically laying out how he was an editor for Marvel at the time. Hasbro had contracted Marvel to develop character names and profiles for the toys they were about to produce but unfortunately the first few people that Marvel chose to work on the project failed to meet Hasbro's expectations. Bob recalls he was something like the 4th choice.
*Hasbro accepted almost all of the new names that Bob came up with and if they weren't, it was usually due to copyright/legal reasons. The only name rejected for another reason was one that Bob didn't realize was a slang term for a part of the female anatomy. Some of the names before Bob got ahold of them were rather weak, such as Starscream being Ultar (Editor's note: That spelling might be slightly off, corrections are welcome)
*Here are some other names that evolved from their original versions: Ravage was once known as Stalker and Jaguar, Blowout was the original name for Cliffjumper and Guzzle was the original name for Trailbreaker.
*Bob would generally submit 2-3 potential names for each character but he admitted that he would sometimes deliberately make several of them goofy so his favorite would also be Hasbro's. One name that was initially rejected was Megatron because it "sounded scary", although Bob eventually convinced them that it SHOULD sound scary.
*Ratchet was originally intended to be a female character until Bob was informed that female robots were a no-no (which of course later changed) In this case, it would have been Nurse Ratchet, like the chatacer from the movie "One flew over the cuckoo's nest."
*A lot of the characters were influenced by celebrities or pop culture such as Blaster drawing from Clint Eastwood and Mr. Spock influencing Shockwave.
*Bob recalled fondly that issue #23 (Decepticon Graffiti) earned him a very special fan letter from none other than Marvel icon Stan Lee.
*Hasbro kept increasing the amount of characters which led to 2 things. One was Bob developing the concept of the Creation Matrix, which of course has influenced both the Matrix of Leadership and AllSpark concepts used elsewhere in the franchise. The other effect it had was frustrating Bob to the point that he decided to leave the series.
*Bob had met Simon Furman previously and actually was the one who suggested to Simon that he take over the series. Bob's editor agreed and the rest is history.
*Bob has never watched the Sunbow cartoons, and also said that he paid little attention to the competing Gobots product line that was out at the same time.
*All of the "mottos" on the character bios came directly from Bob, such as "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."
Overall Bob seemed very upbeat and personal. He admitted that he really hasn't kept up much with the brand since he left it but seems happy that he was able to make the contributions that he did.

Thanks to SEIBERTRON.com member Scaleface, we have new information regarding the development of the G1 characters. A person by the name of Steven Stonebraker obtained this information by meeting with Bob Budiansky who was a guest at the Iacon One convention.
Some of the more interesting tid-bits were the original planned names for some of the G1 Autobots:
Cliffjumper was going to be Blow-Out.
Windcharger was going to be Sprint.
Sunstreaker was going to be Spinout.
Bluestreak was going to be Blue Streak.
Jazz was going to be Jazzz.
Trailbreaker was going to be Guzzle.
Also, it seems that some of the stat's for characters were changed from what was originally planned:
Starscream and Skywarp's original stats were swapped.
Rumble's stats were lowered from their original settings.
Last, but not least, it appears that Laserbeak's original name was supposed to be Slazer.
