Toy Fair 2014 Coverage - The Loyal Subjects Vinyl Figurines Wave 2
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Here's something different from the slew of images we've been seeing so far. Site owner Seibertron has been chatting to The Loyal Subjects, the producers of super deformed vinyl figurines - and was able to take a shot of the upcoming wave 2! Check out the image below, featuring Grimlock, Snarl, Slug, Mirage, Prowl, Sideswipe, Shockwave, Optimus Prime, Dirge, Thrust, Shrapnel, Skywarp and Bluestreak.

Toy Fair 2014 Coverage - Funko Pop! Age of Extinction Optimus Prime and Bumblebee
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Remember when we reported about the very first image of Drift from Transformers: Age of Extinction, courtesy of Funko Pop! statuettes? Well, Seibertron has spotted those figures again, and took a photo of the painted versions of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee at the Toy Fair! Chek it out below.

Regarding those One Step Changer toys that everyone here seems to be ridiculing, I've seen YouTube videos of how they work and...
...the switchblade comparison is actually pretty spot on. You literally hold the figure by a certain piece in either mode, make a single swift motion with your arm, and the figure auto-converts instantaneously with the motion of your arm just like a switchblade!
Though, Grimlock's one-step transformation, however, is a bit longer as, instead of flailing him with your arm like the others, you hold two of his parts with both of your hand and spin him around on a horizontal axis like a towel or a big piece of cloth. His requires two hands to perform since he's bigger and bulkier (and I'm not talking about the giant Chomp and Stomp figure).
It's honestly kinda cool and clever, and most of all, FUN-looking!

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the Evasion Mission (G1-esque) Prime's box art is Prime as the beat up faded flames truck mode that we saw in photos months ago.
How sure are we that the silver and black truck is going to be Galvatron?
I like the Jetfire, just don't like the bot mode's chest canopy being viewable underneath when in jet mode.
Does anyone have any idea how many of these lines (particularly Generations) we'll be seeing in Australia? Because I'd love to get my hands on a number of them deluxes and voyagers...

Well, it's kinda obvious, since this is the only flat-nosed truck that matches that truck.

If Hasbro says it's Galvatron, it's Galvatron.

Re: Toy Fair 2014 Coverage Thread
That lunchbox is old news. Both versions, Autobot and Decepticon are absolutely kick-ass and well worth the $15.00 USD price tag they had on them at my local comic book shop but they certainly should not be listed as new products.
I'm just disappointed I didn't get one of them for Christmas since I had hinted HEAVILY that Santa should put those under my tree.
The artwork is sweet and they would make great "Book end" pieces on any collectors shelf if you were to get both of them. Being a cynic and overly critical of just about everything it's not often that I would critique and endorse in a positive manner any type of product but I highly recommend these. I'll be picking up both when they come back in stock as I think they will provide excellent storage for the TF cards and other trinkets that will be coming out that I plan on picking up instead of throwing money at the craptacular figures that they are producing this year.

Is frustrating looking at all those classic g1 new toy lines coming over and over, but my legends/legion collection is still incomplete due to lack of production, even after 6 years when they started it with jazz and g2 megatron tank form... i quite dont unerstant their philosophy to never accomplish one line.

According to Mark Weber, the reason the Age of Extinction pteranodon is Strafe and not Swoop is because the two-headed design was deemed to be too much of a departure from traditional depictions of Swoop.

Huh. I wonder how they determine what is and isn't "too much of a departure". Having two heads is a bit tame compared to some of the other changes, not just in Movieverse but all over the franchise.

Am I the only one mildly disturbed by the fact that Construct-Bots Drift is the only version of him with the right colors? Yeah, I love those mini guys that can ride the dinobots. I can't wait to get my hands on them. Love the new packaging. Between the Masterpieces, Platinum Edition, and Age of Extinction their packaging is looking a lot better than it has been from the last couple of years. Happy 30th anniversary! Here's to another great 30 years!

Hasbro finally swayed me. The proto at NYCC was awful, and while this one at Toy Fair isn't perfect, the production figure is certainly far better than I expected. (I think a lot of people will admit it's at least better than what was shown at NYCC.)
The "skirt" pieces having movement and folding tighter against the sides instead of being a straight up shellformer is great. I'm still not a fan of the backpack. I think they could've folded it down a bit more at the very least. Like swivel the wheels in and push the gas tanks up a bit. While that won't get rid of the backpack, it would certainly cut down on it a good deal.
Still, I'm impressed. I'll buy it. It's definitely leaps and bounds better than the First Edition crap fest. Good grief.
